the thirty-first

Lyssa just coughed in response. When she stopped, she was shaking more than she had been before, since the coughing had left her feeling breathless. She clenched her eyes shut and frowned, disliking the feeling. It was getting way worse, worse than she was letting on.

Cassie frowned worried. She wished she had her wand, then she could at least do something.

"Cassie," Lyssa whispered, having got most of her breath back from the coughing before, getting ready to bring a very real thought into reality, "what if this...kills me?"

"It, it won't." Cassie said though she didn't sound too convined, she was just hoping that saying that over and over would make it true. "It better not..." She added bitting her lip.

Lyssa looked at her friend for a moment. "But what if it does?"

"I," Her voice wavered and seemed on the edge of tears. "I'll, I, I don't know." She shook her head.

"Don't do anything....stupid, m'kay?" Lyssa said. "It's not like I would like it to...kill me, ya know. It's just a...possibility...a very real...possibility." She attempted to take a deep breath since all the talking had left her feeling short of it, but it just hurt when she tried to breath too deeply.

Cassie didn't say anything but just leaned into Lyssa trying to consol her.

Lyssa closed her eyes, feeling tired, and soon she'd fallen asleep.

(and I'm thinking just not waking back up, that way there's not some dramatic death scene)

Cassie deifted off to sleep sometime later, she woke up the next morning and looked worryingly at Lyss. "You okay Lyss," She asked her and when she didn't get a reply she figued Lyssa was still asleep. Though after a while Cassie noticed that the girl wasn't breathing. Her eyes windened and she wished she had her hands to check for a pulse. An idea coming to her Cassie turned into her animagus then back into herself so her arms were no longer bound. She cheacked Lyssa for a pulse. "Lyssa," She breathed as tears started to roll down her face. "Lyssa no." She said again. "Please no, no."

A random Death Eater came to the cellar.

Cassie walked up the Death Eater and taking it completly on surprise punched it in the face with such force that the person got knocked unconious. Cassie took the Death Eater's wand and picking up Lyssa's limp form proceded to make her way out of the Manor. Luckily Voldemort wasn't there at the time though Cassie did knock a few more Death Eaters unconious. Teas were unning down Cassie's face the whole time.
