Personality:
Aaron Michael Ford is the ideal Hogwarts student. He is head boy, captain of the Ravenclaw Quidditch team. He is very intelligent and very advanced at magic, even for his age. He is clever and witty, and a very likeable person, for the most part. He is the type of person who people like, and he has a definite charisma. Many thought he should be a Slytherin--his father was, and cunning would be an apt description of him. However, the sorting hat thought he was a Ravenclaw, to the surprise of many. He is certainly intelligent, but that was not his main quality. However, the sorting hat always has its reasons for everything, though they might not always be clear.
He is not especially fond of rules, not seeing the need, and he breaks them as he sees fit... which is quite frequently. However, he has the odd ability to avoid detection, and to convince the other students that it would be to their benefit not to rat him out. He has the intelligence to assess a situation well, and he is very quick on his feet, when it comes to debating and witty retorts.
Teachers like him, except for Professor Mcgonagall, who is a bit skeptical, and Professor Dumbledore, who he has little contact with. However, Aaron is not really a bad person--just a bit misguided.
History:
Aaron has a shady past, to say the least. Not long after he was born, his mother died under mysterious circumstances--the muggle police found her dead in her bedroom, but the autopsy revealed no cause of death. Neighbors did not see anything, but the car that once inhabited the house, as well as the father and his baby boy, were gone.
Aaron's father was a death eater. He loved Aaron's mother, but it was not proper for a death eater, a pure, magical wizard, to marry a muggle. He was given a choice: his life, or his wife's life. It was likely that if he chose his, he would be forced to kill her anyway. Thus, he made his choice, which was probably the hardest one he ever had to make. His happiness ended with a flash of green light.
He did the only thing he could think to do. He ran. He knew there was no real way to hide from Lord Voldemort, but he did it anyway, for his son. For a year they were on the run, when Harry Potter, the boy who lived, caused Voldemort's downfall, and they were safe--or so they thought.
Aaron's dad, being on the bad side of many of the powerful ex-death eaters, could not get a job in the wizarding world, so their family had to try to survive on little, or steal from the muggles. So, Aaron was exposed to magic at an early age, watching his father steal slip in a memory-modifying charm here or there, and apparating and disapparating when he saw the need. Aaron picked up on many of the tricks he saw in his dad, and he began to teach it to himself earlier than most children could count. It was a means of survival for him.
When Aaron got his Hogwarts letter, he really wanted nothing to do with the school. He enjoyed the freedom he had living life undercover with his father, and at 11 years old, he would have much rather roam the streets than sit in class. He ignored the letters, even though they kept pouring in, but he could only dodge a great wizard like Dumbledore for so long. Dumbledore personally came to visit him, to hand him his letter. Aaron tried to tell him no, but his father forced him to accept.
Aaron got to school, and he left the other 11-year-old witches and wizards in the dust. He knew magic they never imagined to be possible, and he used that to his advantage. After the fifth time being hauled down to Dumbledore's office by teachers for interrupting class with advanced, disruptive magic, flaunting his abilities, Dumbledore gave him an opportunity to skip ahead a year, something that was very rarely done. He would have to make up for what he would be missing in potions, but Aaron readily agreed.
