When You Were Young
Family: Her mum is Natasha Carson, having married Avery's dad, but not taking his last name is a Muggle. She is 42 and works as a librarian. Avery's dad is Cameron Sage. He is 43 and was born in London, thus going to Hogwarts where he was a Ravenclaw. He relocated to the United States for his work, which is a job in handling international wizarding affairs.
Personality: Ry is a quiet girl who keeps mostly to herself. She doesn't have the best people skills, having grown up as an only child and living in a secluded area, not close to many people, let alone any her age. The skills she does hold, she picked up from her parents and from the abundance of books she's read. She holds a passion for ice-skating, having spent many winters gliding around the pond out back her house when she was bored. Also, since I forgot to add this in earlier and can't make it flow without rewriting the whole thing, she is a knowledge-worm.
History: Being raised by a librarian, Avery was exposed to books at an early age and developed a deep love for them. She goes to them for comfort rather than to another person, because the books don't question. Her dad was never around a lot when Ry was a child, since his work forced him to travel often, but he made sure he never missed a family holiday or birthday.

She picked up her first set of ice skates when she was 4, having gotten them as a Christmas gift and has been a skater ever since. At first, Avery wasn't very good at it, but after a lot of practice she could soon skate easily across the surface of the pond, and even started to attempt some tricks, although she never got a proper coach for them.
