| Molly was in the Greenhouses. It was her free period of the day, and as she often did, she decided to spend it in the gardens. Plants and love were synonymous in her opinion, and it was a good way to spend her time. The professor, Professor Devany, was more than happy for the extra help. In fact, she had her own little corner of the shed especially for her. Within her space, she grew many varieties of plants, both muggle and magical. Peppermint grew next to the ever nice smelling EverGreen, which was used to focus magical energy.
She was sitting on the ground, not caring about her skirt; she could always clean it if it got dirty using a simple spell. She looked over her plants carefully, making sure that they were all doing well. She would have to water them, too... Noticing that the soil was looking a bit malnourished, Molly realized she probably needed to switch it out. She could go get more mulch from the Gamekeeper’s cabin, and since it wasn’t too far, she could walk. Standing and brushing herself off, she called a quick goodbye to Professor Devany before exiting the Greenhouse and starting down the cobble path the Gamekeeper’s cabin.

| "Look, Jim, I don't think you're understanding. I don't want to be your girlfriend." Rey stroked the green cashmere scarf in her hands, wondering if he'd make her give it back. It really was gorgeous, even though it got exasperating when they begged after her like this.
"My name's Rich," the boy said flatly, looking defeated. "You don't have to be my girlfriend, you can still date anyone you want, please -" Rey cut him off with a finger over the lips.
"Look, Rick," she she cooed, caressing his cheek with her hand, "you can do so much better than me. There are all sorts of Hufflepuff girls who could love you. I'm just...not ready for that." She pouted and made her saddest eyes at him, and nearly laughed when she saw a look of sympathy cross his face.
"I'll wait for you," he replied, wrapping her in an unwanted hug before patting the scarf in her hands. "You can keep this," he promised, and turned to walk away. Rey relaxed against the gamekeeper's house, relieved to be through with another of the clingy ones. She stared out into the woods, racking her mind for the next person on her list. The trees rustled and she shuddered; she wasn't going to hang around if some deer or centaur came cantering out of the forest. She turned back towards the castle and noticed a girl coming up the walk. Interest piqued, she waited where she was.

| “Mm mmm mm mm. Mmm mm m.” Molly hummed to herself, coming down the path. The wind was blowing, her skirt swishing around her legs. She was barefoot, as was customary for her, and only wore a tank top on top. Her hair was straight, as per usual, and blew across her face in the wind. Despite the breeze, however, the day was beautiful outside, and Molly couldn’t think of a better place to spend it.
She rounded a bend, and the cabin came into view. The scene was very picturesque, with the forest and the lake framing the cabin perfectly. Except...She squinted her eyes. Leaning next to the cabin was a person. A girl person, by the looks of it. A Slytherin, as well, if the green scarf was anything to go by. Glancing about, she saw another person walking up the path towards her. It was Rich, a Hufflepuff in the grade above her. She shot him a smile as he walked by, but he was too busy mumbling to himself to notice.
Finally she reached the cabin. The girl was a Slytherin, and she recognized the face though the name didn’t come to mind. She smiled at the girl, too, and turned to knock on the cabin door.

| Rey was caught off guard by the girl's smile. The females in the school's population were usually not too keen on her, unless they were part of the crowd her pulled her into dead-end corridors between classes. This girl wasn't familiar, though, and she certainly didn't look the type to pull anyone anywhere. Santana smiled back weakly, but the girl was already focused on the gamekeeper's door by the time that she had managed it. She was trying to puzzle out if she had seen her, but as she wasn't clad in house colors, it was a bit hard. Giving in to her curiosity, Rey made her way around the edge of the gamekeeper's garden and towards the door.
"Have I seen that pretty smile before?" she asked, hoping the gamekeeper was out or at least taking his time to get to the door.

| A blush tinted the normally pale cheeks. "Pardon?" Molly asked, turning her big, doe eyes over to the Slytherin. "I don't think we've met." She blinked, taking in the sight of the girl before her.
She was intriguing, that was for sure. With big, pouty lips, and a curvy figure, Molly knew the girl was sexy; and she knew the girl knew it, too. There was something predatory about the girl, as well; and as her eyes fell across Molly's figure, she blushed again. Her hand had long dropped from the wooden door, but she could discern no sound coming from within the cabin. 'He probably isn't home,' she thought to herself, her eyes never leaving those of the other girls. She didn't know whether to be thrilled or chilled, so to speak, but she did know that those dark eyes sure did give her the shivers.

| The rose blush of the girl's cheeks was immediately arousing; nothing drew Rey in more than those delicious little innocents. In this case, though, it seemed slightly out of place; sliding her eyes over the smaller girl in front of her, Rey would've assumed she'd have boys and girls alike barking up her tree. Lips like whoa, and those big, entrancing eyes, and nothing wrong with that petite little body either. "That's a shame," she flirted, leaning her hand on the doorframe to push herself in closer. "You look like the kind of girl I'd like to know." The first few steps of the dance were always the most fun, and Rey could already feel the adrenaline pumping. A quick judgement told her this was one of the feminine types; she softened her smile and eyes so she wouldn't seem quite so intimidating. | |

| Molly blink, and stammered out a reply. "Thank you...?" She trailed off, ending the statement like a question. Still slightly oblivious to the hidden innuendo within Rey's words, she shot the older girl a small smile. "You know," she began, somewhat boldly, "It is never too late to be friends." She nodded sagely, pleased with herself for not stuttering. Of course, she wasn't really sure why she was stuttering, either. Perhaps she was coming down with the flu... She would need to take some peppermint when she got the mulch. Mulch, she realized, she had yet to get yet. Still paying rapt attention to the Slytherin, she turned, and knocked again on the door. Still, there was no answer from inside the cabin. | |

| "I make friends very easily," Rey agreed, not sure yet if she could get away with touching the girl. Instead she turned to the door they stood in front of, behind which there was no sound of an inhabitant. "He's probably running errands," she stated matter-of-factly. She reached down her shirt and pulled out her blackthorn wand, carelessly tapping the door-handle with it. There was a slight pop and she reached down and pushed the door open. "I've a bit of a knack for getting things done. Do I get a prize?" she sweetly asked, batting her lashes at the girl whose name she still did not know. | |

| "Ah...I'm afraid I have nothing to give you." Molly answered seriously, eyes downcast, feeling honestly sorry for not having something to give. "But I do thank you for your help!" She beamed up at Rey, her eyes lightening up her entire face. She stepped inside the dark cabin. "Hello?" She called out, taking a tentative step forward. "Anyone home?" She called out again, this time in her singsong voice, though suddenly she felt a certain dread. The room was cold, too cold, and quiet, too quiet. She shot Rey a questioning look, suddenly worried. It was when she turned back around did she notice the body. She screamed. | |

| Rey had been more interested in watching the girl's figure from behind as she walked in than anything that might've been going on inside the gamekeeper's house. She did notice it was dark, however, and when Rey turned to her with big, lost eyes she wondered what could be wrong. The scream, however, threw her into action, and she slipped inside the room, spinning to find the body of the Gamekeeper. It was immediately clear that he was dead; his skin had a faint blue tinge and his body was bloated to the point of being curiously rotund. Rey dropped to her knees and felt at his throat anyway, but there was no pulse to be found. She looked up at the girl, who seemed to be in shock. She climbed to her feet and stepped closer to her, placing a steadying hand on her shoulder. "You should get out of here," she said quietly, the game forgotten for a moment. It was no good flirting with a dead man in the room. | |

| Molly blinked, and blinked again. Dead...? Dead? Her eyes reminded frozen as she watched on in shock. He was most certainly dead. She gulped. Dead. She felt a steady and comforting hand on her shoulder. She blinked, nodding numbly to the girls words. Then, as if shaking herself from a trance, she "woke up". "We should get a teacher." She said quietly. "Come with me?" She asked, her voice still soft, but much more steady than it would have been moments earlier. She glanced at the other girl, wondering if she would comply, before slowly making her way out the door. She still had yet to learn the other girls name, she thought, as the wind tousled her hair. She supposed she should get it... | |

| Rey really couldn't not follow the girl after she'd made her request so softly. Besides, as disconnected as she was from the whole ordeal, it was definitely not on her list of things to do to stand around in a room with a dead body. After a last moment of glancing down the gamekeeper's body for any sign of foul play, Rey followed the smaller girl out onto the path. The moment the fresh air caught her, she was herself again, and she caught the girl softly by the elbow as they tracked back toward the castle. "Are you alright?" she asked with as much sympathy as she could muster. On her own part, the gamekeeper had never really crossed her mind; he was less of a person and more a part of the scenery to her. Of course, other people never saw things that way, so she kept it to herself. | |

| Molly shugged, looking distantly at the horizon. "It's not like I knew him, or was very fond of him." She sad absently. "He was nice and all, but I never got to know him." She shrugged again, turning to face the dark-haired girl. "I am starting to regret that."
They continued their walk in silence. The October air was cool, and Molly stifled a shiver as she glanced over at the other girl. She did not know the girl's name, but she didn't really feel the need to initiate the conversation. Names were so binding, in Molly's opinion. Once it was given, it could never be taken back. And though Molly thought her own name suited her, she wasn't sure if she wanted to give it just yet. Give her name, and she'd be forever Molly. Don't give it, and she could exist solely in memory for a little while more. This was how Molly veiwed names; albeit unusual, but nonetheless how she viewed them. Besides, if the other girl learned her name, she would have power over her. And if the shivers Molly got were any indication, giving the other girl more power could be dangerous indeed.

| Feeling slightly uncomfortable with the girl's sentimental train of though, Rey was quiet as the castle loomed larger and larger over them until they were approaching the doors. Rey, who had been charming girls for a few years now, opened the door for her automatically without even thinking about, sweeping her arm inward casually. "Ladies first," she said, knowing that it implied that she wasn't a lady and not caring. Rey knew exactly what kind of reputation she had by now, after years of shameless wooing and then very slyly easing out of each and every faux relationship. On the list of things she was not, lady was pretty far up there.
"So, the Headmaster, do you think?" she asked as they stepped into the school. It seemed too heavy of an issue to lay on any of the other teachers.

| Molly nodded, lost in her own thoughts. She was following the other girl rather aimlessly now. Walking was so natural, she really didn't think about it. Of course, Hogwarts was anything if not rough-hewn, and the path up the headmasters was the least worn in the entire castle. So it really wasn't too great that she wasn't minding where she was stepping. Unfortunately for Molly, there was a rather big bump in the path, of which she promptly tripped over and landed, some what miraculously, in the other girl's arms. She "Eeped" quietly, but made no move to move, rather just waiting and feeling the comfort in the bigger girls' arms. And comfortable is was. She didn't blink, and stared right into the older girls eyes, which were a beautiful brown. She was also tempted to nuzzle into the other girl's chest, but somehow she knew that would be inappropriate. | |

| Rey was, for once, caught completely off-guard by the sudden weight of a beautiful girl in her arms. Usually she anticipated and worked towards this moment, but by some stroke of luck she found herself looking down into the girl's big, round eyes without any work whatsoever. "Well," she said softly, holding her up with no effort at all, "I can't say the fall was all that great, but I'll give you a ten on the landing." The issue at hand was still clouding her mind but with an opportunity like this, she could honestly care less about the gamekeeper. He was already dead, but this little miss was not yet on the list of people she'd test-driven. | |
