Personality:
To those who don't know Corey well, his placement in Ravenclaw makes absolutely no sense. He's unambitious, seeming to lack much of the sharp wit that Ravenclaw members are so famous for. However, it's not that he is not intelligent--he has plenty of brains--it's just that he doesn't want to apply himself. He could care less about school--he flunked first year at Hogwarts because he refused to buckle down and study for his exams. He knows all there is to know about magic, since his family has been magical for as far back as they can trace the family tree, and he has a natural aptitude for it. He just doesn't care about the work that comes along with the school aspect of Hogwarts. He'd much rather spend his time goofing off by the lake, or wandering off after curfew around the hallways, looking for trouble. He doesn't care too much for the rules, or any of the things that the faculty considers important. He just wants to have a good time.
Corey is prone to abusing magic, using it when he could easily do without. He has the tendency to be lazy, since he isn't used to actually having to do things himself. He gets what he wants most of the time. He's used to hearing that he is wonderful, and doesn't deal with criticism well. He's cocky, and often cruel. In his mind, no one compares to him.
History:
Corey's parents were rich. They were pureblooded. They left Corey to his own devices, which is a large part of the reason that he has the "I can do whatever I want" mentality that he does. No one was really ever around to tell him otherwise. In fact, his parents encouraged it--when they were at home on vacation, they reminded him he was privileged. He didn't go to muggle school, and he never had contact with them. He's just about as close as you can get to the stereotypical pureblood snob. It bugs me writing him like this, but I know he'll change by the time I'm writing him, anyway, so it's all good. His history is boring, though, and I'm getting sick of prattling on and on with the same old story we've all heard thousands and thousands of times, over and over and over again.
