Cassie shrugged gently. "Still," She said.

The next couple of days after that were mostly spent on readjusting the girls' eyes to brighter lights so they could leave the hospital room. Any recovery aside from that would have to be done on their own with time (aka the psychological recovering).

Cassie slept a lot. Finding it the easiest way to pass time as she recovered.

Lyssa at least did something, working to move around without stumbling and shaking with her free time, but only when no one was around. She was afraid if she did when they were around they would try to help her and she didn't want anyone reaching out at her.

Cassie got up sometimes, mostly when she needed to go to the bathroom, she did walk around a little. She yawned, sitting back down on the bed.

"Do...do you think things will ever be normal again?" Lyssa asked one day, running a finger over a cut that had healed up before magic could make it scarless.

"No idea," Cassie said with a sigh running her hands through her hair. "Maybe, people say things heal with time. So I guess we'll see."

"I hope so...I don't how things are right now."

And sometime passed, and the girls after some argueing were allowed to rejoin the fighting.

"This..." Lyssa was saying one day. "This feel normal."

Cassie nodded her agreement.

And so~ they were out on the field one day dealing with something.

Cassie was just about uttering a string of swearwords every few seconds, except for when she was flinging spells. She spent more time dodging then casting however.

Lyssa was doing slightly better.

Cassie ducked as a spell soared overhead, it was quite bizzare that she wanted to fight when it all honesty she wasn't that fantastic at it. But her reflexes were pretty good. In a bizzare way it reminded her of playing dodge ball when she was younger at primary school.

At one point in the fighting, Lyssa tripped and ended up flat on the ground. As she was pushing herself back up, someone stepped in front of her.

Out of the corner of her eye Cassie saw Lyssa fall, and went over to help her but stopped suddenly seeing the girl leaning over her, and the girl standing a few feet behind her. Both of them, somewhat oblivious to the fighting around them.

Lyssa got herself into a sitting position and looked around for her wand for a second, reaching out for it just as the person standing in front of her grabbed it up.

Cassie's brow furrowed and she pointed her wand at the person, though the other girl noticed her and flicked her wand causing Cassie's wand to fly up into the air. Despite the fact that Cassie wasn't that fond of her wand, she felt rather vulnerable on a warzone without her weapon.

Lyss looked up at the person who had her wand in their hand, and her eyes got wide. "Oh shit..." she muttered, not wanting to see who she was seeing ever again.

Cassie's eyes windened, upon noticing who the people were. She swore under her breath as the girl smiled wickedly at her. "Oh look who it is," She said with a smirk. "Fancy meeting you here, ey?"

Lyssa pushed herself up from sitting on the ground so that she was standing again. "What do you want?" she asked.

"What do we want?" Regan asked with a smirk. "Take a guess."

"Well, you've already...already tortured us," Lyssa muttered. "What more could you want from us?"

"Well, as the example we set out to make, hasn't seemed to have served it's purpose there is still quite a lot."
