Everything we touch turns to ruins.

"It shouldn't take long," Lyssa said pulling up that fake smile again. "Fifteen or twenty minutes tops."

"Okay," Cassie said, still a bit worried for her friend. She'd pull it up again later.

Lyssa left the compartment, but didn't actually go looking for Draco. She had just needed to escape the tension that was in the air and figured Cassie would like a break from it too. So it was only logical that one of them should get up and leave and Lyssa had a ready excuse to do so. Instead of actually talking with her twin, she just wandered around the train, chatting with random people, until she figured it was a good time to head back to the compartment and sit back down.

Cassie glanced up when Lyssa walked back in. "Heya," she said. "How are the Slytherin's?"

"As insufferable as ever," Lyssa replied with almost a genuine smile as she sat back down.

"That's nothing new," she said with a smile. "Hopefully we beat them again this year."

"Yeah. That'd be nice"

Cassie nodded. "Indeed it would," she peered out the window. "I wonder how far we are..."

"Probably about halfway...."

"Hmm, probably. Yeah," she said. "So, what did you get up to during the break?"

Lyssa shrugged. "Nothing...."

"You must have done something. I'm sure you didn't just sit around doing nothing for a few months."

"That's pretty much what I did."

"And you didn't come over why?"

"Erm, I had....family obligations."

"For the whole summer?"

"That was implied, yes."

"You can't have been doing stuff for every single day of the summer."

"I was."

Cassie gave her a sceptical look.

Lyssa looked at her emotionlessly.

Cassie just stared at her, and than leant back into her chair. "If you say so."

"I say so"

"Righto then."
