I have no clue what to call this...(Cass and Lyss (yet again...))

Some times Lyssa found it hard to believe that it had only been five years. To her it felt like an eternity. But her 22nd birthday had passed only a week or so ago. She sighed.

Cassie sighed and made her way to the ministry to go and visit Lyssa. She disliked the ministry immeansly and that was before the whole year seven incident. It took some time but finally she was at Askaban. The girl made a face when she got there and tried to ignore everything else around her as she made her way to where Lyssa was.

Lyssa was in her lovely corner leaned back on a wall, eyes closed and half asleep when she heard something. Opening her eyes up sleepily she noticed the something she heard was Cassie. "Hey," she said with a stifled yawn.

"Hey," Cassie replied sitting down on the ground.

Lyssa yawned again, sort of wishing she could go back to sleep.

"If you're tired you can sleep." Cassie told her. "I didn't mean to wake you up or anything."

"No," Lyssa replied. "It's fine. You took the time to come all the way here. The least I could do is be awake."

"Eh," Cassie shrugged. "It's fun to annoy the ministry until they let me come." She sighed and ran a hand through her hair. "Kind of reminds me of school." She said quietly. "When we used to bug the teachers about stuff."

Lyssa smiled slightly, yet somehow frowned at the same time. "That sounds like it could be fun," she muttered. Then she sighed. "Annoying the teachers was definitely fun."

Cassie nodded. "It was, specially Umbridge, Snape and the Carrows." She sighed and frowned at the mention of Snape and the Carrows even though she had mentioned them. "gits."

"Yeah," Lyssa agreed. "Umbridge had the greatest reactions, but the other three were the funnest to mess with. They all had such short tempers." She smiled a bit at the thought of the aforementioned tempers.

Cassie couldn't help but grin. "Yeah me, you and the twins drove Umbridge up the wall." She smiled fondly at the mention of the twins, she hadn't seen George for a while and Fred had died during the war. "Yeah, begining of seventh year was great fun, though it sort of went downhill from there." The girl frowned again.

Lyssa smiled, thinking back to driving Umbridge up the wall, but frowned as Cassie talked about seventh year some. "It really did," she muttered, pulling her knees up to her chest and wrapping her arms around them tightly, resting her head on her knees.

They lasped into an uncomfortable silence and it was odd to Cassie that after five years they still couldn't talk about what happened. "I just don't get what happened." Cassie said still talking softly.

Lyssa frowned into the silence, only raising her head when Cassie said something again. She frowned more. "Things happened," she muttered vaguely.

"Obviously," Cassie said. "But like why? And really how? We'd been inseperable since first year when we met on the train and it just all feel apart." Cassie made a hand gesture as she said this and bit her lip.

Lyssa sighed and looked straight ahead of her, rather than at Cassie. "I blame myself for it all really. And thinking about the facts I'm right to do so." Cassie, she just knew was looking at her confused, so Lyssa elaborated. "I was raised in a predominantly Slytherin household. Until I was about 9 I followed everything my parents said just like Draco did. That's when I was like 'This is ridiculous' and started to change. But I guess people are right when they say what happens in your childhood really sticks with you, more than what happens later in life. So really, I've been fighting against the Slytherin in me all along, and that's what got me put in Gryffindor, the fighting against something that really was such a dominant part of me if that makes any sense. And then with Voldemort coming back it got harder, because the influence was everywhere. In seventh year, all it took was that one little push in the wrong direction, that one little curse to open the floodgate and release all the fighting I had been doing. And this time, I wasn't strong enough to fight back, so it took over I guess you could say, but not completely, since I wasn't too horrible...Or at least I don't think I was half as horrible as I could have been." She stopped and shrugged lightly. "So you see, I really do think it's all my fault, or if you don't want to blame me, then my parents' faults. Make sense?"

"Lyss it's not your fault how you grew up, and it was kind of my fault aswell cause it was my stupid idea." She sighed. But it's not good blaimg ourselves, if we're going to blame anyonelets blame Voldemort, it's his fricken fault." Cassie was still talking in a quiet voice but when she mentioned Voldemort her eyes flared dangerously.

Lyssa shrugged lamely, still not looking from in front of her. "I guess blaming Voldmort works. I mean after all, once he was gone I went back to normal...eventually...." She frowned deeply and sighed sadly "And really, it's not like I randomly want to Crucio anyone anymore, although that was sort of fun..."

Cassie shook her head unsure of whether to be amused or not. She wondered why she was amused at that fact and growled inside her head at the thought.

Lyssa finally looked over at Cassie, her eyebrow raised. "I was kidding about it being fun," she said. "You did realize that right?" She couldn't really be sure of anything anymore, no matter how much time had passed since everything.

Cassie smiled. "That's why I'm wondering whether I should be amused or not, part of me is saying that it's been five years so we can well joke about it but the other part is well stubborn."

"That's why I said it really," Lyssa said with a shrug. "Since it's been so long, I was like eh what the heck."

Cassie smiled and sighed. "It was a weird year."

"Very weird," Lyssa nodded. "I would give anything to do seventh year over again, and this time....with a happy ending, not this."
