I Don't Play Your Rules, I Make My Own

Sometime the next day, after learning with room it was from her mum, Lyssa knocked on Cassie's door, knowing the girl was inside, as she hadn't gone out for anything yet.

Cassie ignored the knock, she was sitting with her back to the wall and her knee's pulled up to her chest.

Lyssa sighed and knocked again, deciding that she was just walking in if it wasn't answered this time.

Cassie ignored it again.

With a huff, Lyssa opened the door and walked inside.

Cassie's eyes darted to Lyssa. "What do you want? She snapped at her.

Lyssa frowned at her tone. "I was just coming to check up on you..."

"Well you don't need to."

"Yeah, actually I do."

"No you don't. I'm fine."

"Cassie, you are not fine. Don't lie to me."

Cassie scowled at her.

"Cass, please. I'm concerned, and worried."

"I don't care!"

Lyssa sighed and walked further in the room and knelt down in front of where Cassie was sitting. "Please, don't shut me out."

Cassie turned her head so she was looking at the other wall and away from Lyssa.

Lyssa sighed, moving to sit cross-legged on the floor in front of Cassie. "Talk to me, please?"

"Why?" Cassie asked, still facing away from her.

"Because, bottling things up is no good for you, and because I'm your best friend and I'm worried."

"Well what the frick do you expect me to do Lyss?" Cassie asked her, turning her head to look her directly in the eyes. "I can't do anything about it!"

"Well, I don't know, but I do know that it's not healthy to just sit here."

"I don't care," Cassie said sulkily.

"Cassie, please? I did this same thing over the summer, and Draco snapped me out of it. So, I'm going to do the same for you."

Cassie shrugged at her.

"Get up, right now. You haven't eaten anything all day, so we're going to the kitchen. And don't think I won't drag you with me."
