Just a day like any.

"Psh," Drew said, almost laughing. "I have the perfect balance. After all, I do all my homework, and then I hang out with you. I have a better balance than you do, Demi Detention."

Demi shook her head. "Andrew," She said sadly. "You'd spend all of your time doing work if I didn't pull you outside to enjoy the glorious outdoors."

"Nuh uhhh," Drew said joking. He practically stuck his tongue out at her.

"you would," Demi said poking him. "You'd be holed up in that library all day while this beautiful weather went unnoticed." she shook her head with a grin.

"Weather?" Drew pulled a face. "What is beautiful about the weather? Skin cancer and pneumonia and hypothermia!"

Demi shook her head. "oh Drew" she said dramatically. "that is exactly my point." she waved her finger in his face. "you dont like it cause it makes no sense. And is unpredictable. Which bothers you. I like sun." she added abstractly.

Drew shook his head. "If that were true, and the only reason I did not like the outdoors was because it was unpredictable, I wouldn't be friends with you, now would I?"

"I'm the exception to the rule," She said with a cheeky grin. "What else do you like that's unpredictable?" She asked raising an eyebrow. "Hmm?"

Drew pondered this for a second. "Muggle books. I never know how some of them are going to end."

Demi whacked her hand into her face. "That," She said her voice slightly muffled by her hand. "Is proving my point exactly. Books do not count as unpredictably. Unless something may or may not jump out at you the moment you open it."

Drew smirked. "That happens all the time--it's called a pop-up book, and muggle TWO YEAR OLDS read them."

Demi rolled her eyes. "oh Andrew," she said shakin her head. "you are hopeless"

Drew shook his head. "I am not hopeless. You are." He stuck his tongue out at her.

She poked her tongue back at him. "I'm not the one using childrensmpicture books as an argument point.

Drew pulled an innocent face. "Neither am I! Just an illustration of your popping out of books mentality."

Demi shook her head with an eyeroll. "hopeless" she muttered again with a grin

Drew shook his head. "Not at all."

"you are. Most defeinetly hopeless person ever. "

Drew grinned. "Oh really? Prove it."

"you like to study which is weird and not normal"

"Psh," Drew said. "'Tis all a matter of perspective, m'dear. It is quite normal for a Ravenclaw to enjoy studying. It's you Gryffie lot that are strange."

"Pfft," Demi said. "Studying is not normal, and never will be. And we are not abnormal. We get things done. You just read." She made scales with her hands, clearly showing which one she thought was more important.

"Of course I read? Can you not read?" Drew nearly shouted in mock horror.

Demi poked her tongue out at him. "Course I can read," She said. "I just do other things too."

Drew let loose a strangled cry. "You poor, deprived child! You can't read!"
