Transfiguration

I steched my ankle making sure my spell worked ignoring Blackridge I wondered where the snake was. I saw it was snapping at a student. I sighed,

"Sarsheserpe.' I muttered telling it to stop. I knew I just made myself more of a freak but shruged waving my wand making the snake disapear.

I frowned as the snake disappeared, then looked over at Vena. "What did you just do?" I asked.

"What do you mean what did I just do? I did about 5 things if you includ breathing."

"You know what I mean. The weird thing," I said, kinda annoyed for a second.

"You mean Pastletounge...?' I asked rolling my eyes.

"I guess..." I said. "Never heard of it before..."

I sighed and sat back down. "To make a long story short. Talking to snakes." I heard the bell go and gathered my stuff. I walked out of class grumpily.

I gathered my things at the bell, and followed Vena out. Once I had mostly caught up to her I said, "I think that's cool. Being able to talk to snakes..."

Me and Calie entered transfig and sat down in our usual seats.

Once everyone was sitting down the teacher explained that we would be doing human transfigurations. Working in front of mirrors changing the colours of out eye brows.

We got given out mirrors a grinned and concertrated on making my eyebrowns blonde.

"Professor." I said raising my hand.

I walked into Transfiguration and near the middle off to the right side of the room. I got out my book and started reading before the lesson started.

Then the teacher gave us our assignment. What was the point of changing the color of our eyebrows, or any part of us, or anything to that effect? There was no need as far as I could see.

"Yes Miss Tonks?" The teacher asked coming over.

"Im done." I said simply and smiled.

"How did you-"


"Metamorphis." I said simply.

I fought the need to roll my eyes and just kept reading, paying the class no mind. It was pointless really right now.

I was almost done with the book when this teacher called for my attention.

"Mr. Usui, I've told you before about reading in here. Now practice changing your appearance."

"What's the point of it?" I replied back, not closing my book or looking up.

Thinking about that after I did it, it was probably a bad idea...

The teacher was about to say something when she realised that snob was reading.

"Just in case you need to disguise youself." The teacher said.

"And if you want good marks on your NEWTSyou're going to need to know how to do this."

I sighed resigned and closed my book begrudgingly.

"So you want me to look like someone I'm not?" I asked with an annoyed expression.

I sighed again. "Whatever."

I put my book up and got to work.

I watched with faint amusment at Calie as she attempted to change her eye brow colour. She managed to colour half of it but the other was its original colour.

I changed my hair back to brown but with red streaks down it.

"Oh stop showing off Al." Calie grumbled.

"Just because I can do something you cant-" I laughed,

I was thoroughly annoyed at this entired lesson. It was a waste of time if you asked me. Not all of us were going to become adults and need to be able to do this, but since NEWTs had been broughten and I had to do my best on them to do myself and my family proud I had to.

Snob looked completly annoyed at having to change his appearance I didn't see why it might actually make him look better. I laughed at myself and went back to watching Calie failat changing her appearance.

"It cant be that hard." I said.

"You try without your wand then." Calie grumbled sitting down in her chair giving up out of annoyance.

To be honest, I was only pretending to try it. I still saw the whole lesson as a waste. I wasn't going to grow up to be...say an Auror or something where I needed to know this. I was going to do something with books, or maybe art.

I noticed that one of the girls, the not so special one, had given up on trying, even though she had bestest the other before.

Calie sighed and tried again successfully changing the colour,

"You just need practice." I said.

"You dont."

"Well I'm special." I said grinning.


"Yea sure." Calie laughed,

The teacher was walking around the room, observing people's progress. When he came to me he said, "I hope you have accomplished something impressive, since you were so lax at the beginning of class."

"Yes, sir," I mumbled.

Then I easily turned my eyebrows from black to a bright yellowy blond then back again.

"Very nice for someone who finds it so pointless."

I smiled small-like. "Thank you, sir."

Then he walked over to the girls. I smirked to myself. So what...? Everyone got bored every once in a while.

The professor walked over.

"Miss Tonks I see that you have made some progress." He said to Calie.

Calie nodded and tried to change her eyebrow colour back to normal and failing misrably.

I sighed and changed my eye colour to brown.

I looked over at the girl since they were the closest people to me. The one girl seemed to be having issues getting her eyebrows back to normal from the blond they were stuck at.

"It's not that hard to get them back to normal," I said, speaking to her, but also at the same time not. "It just take concentration."

"And a wand." I added grinning. "Well for you but I dont need a wand..." I trailed of. Calie glanced at me and I shruged.

"Nice Alida." She sighed and turned back to whatshisface. "Yea K thanks." She tried again and failed.

"Its not funny Al." She complained when I started laughing.

"You're concentrating too hard now," I commented simply.

I was looking away from them, getting out my book.

"You have to be relaxed and concentrated at the same time, or else you're going to be walking around with odd eyebrows the rest of the day like most of the idiots in here."

I rolled my eyes. "Jerk." I muttered.

I pulled out my wand and pointing it as Calie and muttered the incantation. Turning her eyes brow back to brown.

"Why is it." I complained. "That I can do a spell that I dont need to?!"
