Laurie, Nicole, and Sev (3rd POV)

Nicole stuck out her tongue at Laurie. "That's why I do it."

Then Laurie and Sev for sent to their room. Nicole frowned.

"Aunt Cassie," she whined. "Now I have no one to talk to."

"You'll live until dinner." Cassie said cheaking on the pasta. "It's nearly ready." She came back and sat down. "Are you working tomorrow Lyss? Because I need to go to St. Mungo's and otherwise I'll have to take the kids with me." She sighed. "And Sev is such a pain when I do, he plays with everything."

A door slamming was heard from upstairs and Cassie smiled. "Laurie can get into such a temper sometimes."

"No," Lyssa replied. "As far as I know I'm off tomorrow."

Nicole was on the couch in the living room, pouting, or sulking or whatever you wanted to call it. There were mutters of "Stupide." and "Ennuyé." as she sat there.

"Cool." Cassie said. "Can you take the kids for abit?"

She watched the pasta stir itself one moretime before getting up to serve it.

"Severus, Laurie, Nicole." She shouted. "Dinner."

Laurie walked grumpily down the stairs and sat down in her spot.

"Of course I can. Nicole's over here enough. It's about time I return the favor," Lyssa said with a smile.

Then Cassie called for dinner.

Nicole came in, still somber, just because Laurie was angry. It wouldn't be any fun after dinner if she was in a bad mood.

Nicole sat in her usual spot, her mum taking the empty chair beside her.

Laurie played with her pasta, she wasn't really hungry even though they hadn't eaten since lunch.

"Laurie you won't get desert if you dont eat your dinner." Cassie said sitting down and starting her dinner.

Laurie sighed. Sometimes adults forgot what it was like to be a kid, sureley when they were our age they wanted to skip dinner and just have desert, they'd complain about it then but when their kids wanted to do the same thing they forgot that they had too when they were younge. I won't do that. Laurie said to herself.

Sev who had been starving bolted his down as fast as he could. His pasta sauce was all over him, his plate and his clothes.

"Severus." Cassie sighed.

Nicole was quiet throughout dinner, eating slower than usual.

Lyssa looked over at her, but she didn't say anything. Letting them handle things on their own was part of them growing up.

"I'm done," Nicole said, pushing away her half empty plate.

"Same." Laurie pushed her plate away.

Cassie sighed. "I guess I'll see you tomorrow then." She picked the plates up and dumped them in the sink.

Lyssa nodded and took Nicole and they disapearated with a pop.

"You know." Cassie yawned. "I should get the anti appearation thing around this house." She yawned again and her kids looked at her as if they didn't have a clue what she was talking about. "Anyway off to bed."

Lyssa and Nicole appeared home with a pop. Without a word, Nicole went up to her room and flopped on her bed. She looked around her room. It was just messy enough to be called clean. She threw an arm over her eyes, and closed them. And then from exhaustion of the day she fell asleep way earlier than usual.

Cassie woke the kids up the next morning after she got dressed.

"Guys get ready then come down and have breakfast you're going to Aunt Lyssa's for the day."

"But I wanna come with you." Severus complained.

"Well your not."

Laurie dressed and ate quickly and was soon standing by the fireplace.

"Laurie you first then me and Sev will come."

Laurie nodded taking a handful of power she threw it into the flame and said. "Malfoy Meadow."

Cassie came soon after holding Severus in her arms.

Lyssa was sitting on the couch when Cassie and Co arrived. "Good morning," she said brightly. "Nicole is sleeping, and I don't suggest disturbing her Laurie. She was in a mood last night and went to bed early, so she's bound to still be in it."

"She woke me up." Laurie grumbled sitting down next to Lyssa.

"Anyway I'm off." Cassie said and she disapearated with a pop to st. Mungos.

"I wanna go with Mummy." Severus complained.

"Tough luck." Laurie said grumpily.

"Would you like her to throw you out of her room and not speak to you all day?" Lyssa countered Laurie's grumbles.

Not even an hour later, there were footsteps on the stairs. Nicole came down rubbing her eyes sleepily."Bonjour, maman," she said upon seeing Lyssa.

Laurie sat grumpily on the couch till Nicole got up. She hadnt gotten partically much sleep the night before and was in a crabby mood. Severus on the other hand was whizzing around the house like a tornado.

Nicole noticed Laurie on the couch. "Bonjour, Laurie," she said.

She went over to the couch and sat down too.

"Has my mum said when breakfast is? I'm hungry."

"No." I said yawning.

"I ate before I came."

I yawned again.

"Thanks," Nicole muttered to herself.

Lyssa came in just that moment. "Breakfast is ready if anyone's hungry. Severus is already in the kitchen."

Nicole got up and followed her mum to the kitchen so she could eat too.

Laurie rolled his eyes. "Of course he is."

She followed Nicole into the kitchen anyway and sat down at the table where Severus was stuffing his face with breakfast. Like usual.

Laurie thrummed her fingers on the table boredly.

Nicole ate her breakfast quietly and somewhat subdued, mostly because of Laurie's sour mood.

"Aujourd'hui va sucer," she muttered under her breath so her mum wouldn't hear.

Lyssa wouldn't have heard any way though. She was busy tending to a messy Severus who had just knocked over his cereal.

Laurie giggled watching Aunt Lyss try to clean up Severus who had managed to spill cereal all over himself. Like he did with every meal he ate. Except sandwhiches.

"What now?" Laurie asked Nicole. She was back in her usaul mood again. Such wonders Laughter could do to you.

"Um..." Nicole said. "I don't really have a clue. Think my mum would take us to Diagon Alley for a bit?"

She looked over to her mum who was done cleaning Severus off.

"Hey mum," she said. "Can we go to Diagon Alley today? It's boring here!"

"Please." I begged.

"Pwease." Severus added. "Woof."

"Woof?" Laurie giggled.

"Woof." Severus said.

Lyssa thought it over for a moment then said, "Sure, but you have to promise to listen to me when I tell you not to do something."

Nicole grinned and gave a happy cry as did the other two children. Then she looked down to see she was still wearing her clothes from the day before.

"We can go...right after I change."

Then she went upstairs.

Laurie yawned again.

Once everyone was ready they crowded around the fireplace in the lounge room.

One by one they all flooed into the Leaky Caldron.

"So where are we going first?" Nicole asked looking at her mum. "Can we go see George at the shop? I want to see the shop."

She was bouncing up and down with energy. Lyssa smiled at her.

"Fine, but first," she waved her wand a little, doing a spell so that Severus wouldn’t wander away from her in the store, since it would no doubt be crowded.
