| Scor munched on his green beans, contemplating who all would go on their invitation list. Who Vena invited was really rather her business, as he didn't mind, and he was sure it wouldn't be many people anyway. As far as himself.... He would invite Raj, and he would probably be the best man, since there was no one else for the job. Reginald would come, for being such a capital boss and giving him a raise that would make both the wedding and their lives easier. His sister, of course, would be invited, but that raised the ultimate question of James Potter.
Scarping his food into the garbage bin and scourgifying his plate, Scor glanced back at Vena. "Are we going to ask the Potters round? James will be Eris's date, obviously, but then we might as well invite Albus and Daniel...and by then you might as well invite the whole lot."

| "Hrm," Vena contemplated it as she finished off her meal and cleaned her plate. Stacking it back on top of the few other plates they had in the cardboard. "I suppose so." She said with a shrug picking up her drink and finishing it off. "Will they all want to come though? Like James I suppose cause he's going out with your sister and Al and Dan yeah. Though the rest we don't really know well and," She shrugged cleaning her cup and putting that back with the other cups. "I don't know."
She was thinkin about who she was going to invite, Jessie most definetly. As that was who Vena got on best with at work, which would also include Henry her husband and their little daughter Carra who Vena was guessing was around four by now. Though she wasn't too sure about that. Probably a few others at work as well. She went to sit on the couch curling her feet up under her.

| Scor nodded as he listened to Vena. It was true that they didn't really know the rest of the Potters, but.... "I just feel like it would be rude not to invite the whole lot. Who, knows, they might not even show up. We don't even have to ask their parents. Actually, yeah, having Professor Potter there would be awkward. Just Lily, how about that? And tell her she can bring a date?"
Following Vena to the couch, Scor made a note in his mind not to invite any professors at all. That was just a strange idea in general, and unless Vena was just dying to have some random teacher of theirs at the wedding (which was doubtful) then there would be none. A wave of belated guilt passed through him and he guessed he would invite Lena, as a consolation prize for being fired because of him.

| "Yeah having Professor Potter there would be extreamly awkward." Vena agreed with a nod. As Vena really had had fun annoying him when he was teaching Defence and as the two had not gotten on in the slightest having him at their wedding would just be awkward and weird. "I don't have a problem with Lily, she's welcome to come." Although Vena didn't really know the youngest Potter she didn't really have a problem wth havng her there. Expecially if both her brothers were going to be invited.
"So, Al, Dan, Eris, James, Lily." Vena said pulling out her wand and accioing a peice of paper and a pen. For some odd reason they had pens lying around the place, but she supposed that they were easier to manage then quill and ink half of the time. Catching the paper and pen she wrote down the names they had so far and then added three of her own. Jessie, Henry and Carra Wilsren. She then paused to think whoelse she was going to invite. "Who's on your list?" Vena asked him passing him the pen and paper to write down who he'd thought of.

| Scor nodded as Vena agreed that Lily could come. He would have felt rude inviting half her family and not her, especially since she'd known him a bit in school. For a moment, Rose Weasley crossed his mind and he giggled at himself for even thinking it. In response to Vena's question, he started listing the other people aloud as well as writing their names down on the paper. "Raj Devrai, Reginald and Denise Burke, Lena Fitzgerald." He stuck the pen in his mouth and chewed on it for a moment, thinking, when a brilliant and terrible idea came into his mind.
"Vena...would you mind too terribly much if I invited Celine and her fiance to the wedding?" He didn't want to push his limits on this, but Celine and he had remained friends even after all the things that they had been through, although they'd recently lost touch a little.

| "Um," Vena said slightly surprised at the question. She frowned slightly thinking about it. "I suppose not." She concluded in the end. Scor was welcome to invite whom he wanted to and if he wanted to invite her she supposed that he could. Vena was actually somewhat surprised that the two were still on talking terms let alone "On wedding list invitation" terms.
"Don't eat the pen." She remarked absent-mindedly, watching as he chewed on the edge of the pen he was holding. She yawned softly being a little tired as the night before had been late. But she was fine to stay up slightly longer and get a rough draft of this list.

| Scor's face twisted as he hovered the pen above the page, unsure. "I mean, I really don't want her there if you're going to mind. It's just that we've both got our own lives now. And I figured it'd be sort of funny for her to be at my wedding, since she was supposed to be my wife." He blinked in realization of how long ago that seemed to him now. He couldn't believe, after all this time, that he'd ever considered settling and marrying her. She was a great girl, and a good friend, and very pretty, but even added together, none of those things made her Vena, and that was all he wanted.
"I will eat my own pen if I want to," Scor stated, laughing. He watched his fiancee yawn and tapped his wand on the coffee table. It was getting later. "Are you sleepy? We can stop and work on this tomorrow."

| "No it's alright," Vena told him with a small smile. She would actualy be amazed if Celine wanted to come, would you want to go to someone's wedding if you were meant to marry one of the people being married. She shrugged though, not really knowing how Celine's mind worked. And not wanting to know either. "She can come if you want her to."
"You're buying a new one if you kill it." Vena told him seriously as he laughed at her telling him not to eat their pen. "I'm fine," She said as he questioned whethered she wanted to stop and sleep and continue tomorrow. "Let's just get a rough draft of people down." She pushed her hair behind her ears taking the pen off of him and the paper and writing down another work freind. Sarah Colseworth Which was probably where her list of who she knew and wanted to invite ended. Which was considerably better then it would have been a few years back.

| Scor bit down on the pen even harder, hoping that it didn't burst in his mouth. That had happened once and once only, but it certainly wasn't an experience he wanted to repeat. "Oh!" he cried, slapping his palm against his forehead. "I've forgotten Aunt Lyss and company," he noted, beginning to scribble them down. Lyssa Malfoy household, Cassie Evans household. He surveyed the list and guessed that he was done. "I can't think of anyone else from the top of my head. Can you?" | |

| Vena watched as Scor scribbled down another two names, which was really a group of people. She didn't really know Scor's aunt particularly well and his aunts best freind even less not that that really mattered. She looked down at the list, glancing over the names. "Not that I can think of no." She said with a slight nod. "So I suppose that's it unless we think of someone else at some other time." | |

| Scor yawned, the hem of his Chudley Cannons shirt sneaking up his stomach as he stretched. Glancing woefully at the very short list that they'd just made, he wondered how they were so happy when they knew so few people. Shaking his head, he looked at his fiancee and gestured toward the bedroom. "Ready to sleep? I'm dead on my...well, I'm not on my feet, but you know." | |

| "Sleep sounds like a good idea," She said with a nodd getting up off of the couch, she took a detour past the kitchen and stuck the list on a pin board that was barely used but there anyway in case it was needed. She yawned turning the lights off in the house with a flick of her wand before entering the bedroom. She placed her clothing on top of a chair nestled in the corner and got into her nightclothing. After doing what else she needed to so she was ready for bed Vena got under the covers placing her wand on the bed side table (it was easy to get to there) and putting her head down on the pillow.
A few days passed just about the same as the few before. With only slight changes at what they ate and did at work. They still hadn't gone grocery shopping so chicken was still the main meal. "Soup," Vena declared taking the tin out of the cardboard and putting it down on the bench. She poured it into a pan and onto the stove, hitting the stove with her wand to turn it on. "We need to start looking for places for the wedding." She said hitting the soup again with her wand to speed it up. she didn't have the patience to wait for it to cook manually. "I was thinking we could start thinking tonight and then go look at a few places tomorrow?" As the next day was Sunday, and they both got that day off. It had taken some negotioanting with their bosses at the start but Sunday's were strictly family days.

| Scor decided to take a shower before bed so that he could wake up a little later, even if it meant that Vena would be gone before he woke up. He quickly washed his hair, thinking about their wedding list and wondering if there was anyone he could possibly add to it. He had always thought, when he was young, that his wedding would be a huge ordeal. Then again, he had also thought it would be in France, and that he would be marrying Celine. He decided he would have to let all of his preconceived notions go. He drifted off to sleep that night trying not to be disappointed with how small his wedding (and life) was turning out to be.
A few days later, Scor whistled softly as Vena finished cooking the soup and placed it on the table. He ladled out a bowl for himself and leaned over to smell it, blowing on it a bit as it was very hot. "Hm. Places for the wedding. It'd be nice to do it at someplace special to us, but we don't really have one of those, do we?" He thought hard on it as he lifted a spoonful of soup to his mouth, trying to cool it off so that he wouldn't burn his tongue.

| Vena frowned as she served herself some soup, she got out a spoon and pulled over a chair with her foot. Sitting down on it she swirled her soup around with her spoon before scouping a spoonful into her mouth. Not really realising how hot it was she nearly ended up spitting it out but stoppedat the last momnet. "arg hot." She exclaimed, grabbing her wand from the bench next to her and accioing herself a cup and some water over. Taking a sip of it she turned back to Scor with her eyes narrowed as if daring him to laugh.
"Yeah.." She said still frowning, they really didn't have a place that was special for them. Which in a way was kind of sad. She sighed swirling her soup around again. "We don't." Vena wasn't actually sure where she would like to have a wedding either, it wasn't something she had ever thought about. Never having expected to actually get married. She chewed on the edge of her lip, spooning another spoon off soup into her mouth. "Well I suppose we can just kind of think what we would prefer and find places that fit it?" She suggested with a slight shrug. "Like inside or outside."

| Scor tried not to chuckle as Vena took a mouthful of her soup without bothering to cool it. Her stern stare kept him from cracking up too much, though, and he looked back down into his soup as if it were a crystal ball that could tell him the answers to what they were trying to figure out. The soup was still too warm to really tell if the flavor was any good or not, but it usually was. Both of them had been a little off with their cooking when they'd first left school, but they'd both gotten progressively better over time.
"Well," he said, magically fixing himself a glass of butterbeer, "I'd think it'd really be prettier outside." He took a minute to consider that he was a man, and he shouldn't really be concerned with how pretty something was, but he couldn't really help it. "I mean, there aren't many places where we could do it inside and it still be cheap, too." Money would be an issue too, he knew. It was a lot of things to be thinking about so young, but at least if they got everything in order now, they wouldn't have to worry about any of it later.

| Vena smiled as Scor used the word pretty and then had a look on his face as if he had realised the word he had just used. Though she must say that she agreed with him. it would be nicer to have it someplace pretty though Vena wasn't quite sure she would have used the word pretty. "It would be nicer outside." She said with a nod, trying to think of someplace that was both outside and nice.
She nodded again at his saying that a lack of money would make finding a nice place inside hard. Money did make some things much easier. Vena wondered if Scor ever resented the fact that he had given that up when he chose her. Though, she supposed, she wouldn't really want to know if he did. She frowned slightly and tried to push that thought out of her mind. She didn't need it there.
"What kind of outside?" She asked trying to change the train of thought in her mind. She wondered if her questions made any sense so moved to explain. "Like beach or meadow or just I don't know." She shrugged, scouping another mouthful of soup into her mouth. It wasn't as hot as it had been now. So she didn't burn her tongue.

| Leaning back in his chair so that it tipped back on two legs, Scor tried to think of outdoor places that would be nice. The Hogwarts grounds would be cool, if they could weasel their way into that, but he didn't know how they could manage to work that out. "Well, the beach has all that...sand...wouldn't that be unpleasant? And meadows have all that grass...very itchy." Even if Scor was no longer a Malfoy, he still had the trademark sensitive skin, and he was bound to break out in whelps if he was too close to grass for too long. A silly allergy, but hey, he couldn't help it. "I dunno. What do you think?" | |

| Vena couldn't help but smile at Scor's dismissing the two places she had suggested because the sand was unpleasant and the grass was itchy. Though she supposed, he did have a point. It wouldn't do to be uncomfortable on their wedding day. As that would ruin the mood. "Hrm," She said thinking about where she would like to have it. She wasn't really that sure, though the first place that popped to mind was in fact Hogwarts. She frowned slightly thinking over it. "I was thinking," She said after having another mouthful of her soup. "Hogwarts? Cause it would be summer break then and if we could convince the headmistress?" She shrugged again finished off her soup and cleaning the bowl. Placing it back into the shelf. "It'd just be a nice place to have it I suppose." | |

| Scor's eyes lit up when he realized that Vena too was considering Hogwarts. It was the place where they had met, and where all of their most important memories had taken place. He supposed it was the closest they had to a special place. Come to think of it, Mrs. Matcarey could probably be convinced to let them do it. He hadn't really thought about the fact that it would be summer holidays. Besides, as a former prefect, she hopefully still held a soft spot for him, even if he hadn't been chosen to be Head Boy in his final year at Hogwarts.
"I think that would be brilliant," he admitted truthfully, picking up his soup bowl and draining the last few drops into his mouth, causing a little trickle to run down his chin. He quickly wiped it away with a napkin and cleaned his bowl, sending it flying (very carefully) onto the shelf with magic. "I mean, just think. Pretty much everything we've ever done together was at Hogwarts, for the most part."

| "Yeah," Vena said with a nod watching as the plate flew across the room and seated itself on the shelf. One of these days when Scor did that he was going to get distracted by something and the plate would fall crashing to the ground. Though they could just magicially fix it so she supposed that that didn't really matter for the most part. "And we just about lived there for seven years on top of meeting eachother there and the other stuff."
"We need ice-cream," Vena noted absent mindedly looking through both the fridge and freezer for something else to eat. In the end she got a peice of fruit and bit into it, sitting back on her chair. "It being summer it'd probably be easier to convince the headmistresses as well." She added. "And then there won't be random kids getting in the way as that wold be slightly odd and slightly awkward." She took another bite into her peice of fruit, making a face as the bit she bit into turned out to be bruised slightly. "Bleck," She muttered throwing it into the bin. It hit the edge of it and then fell in. "And there isn't that much grass so you should be fine." She added on the end, teasing him slightly.

| Scor pouted as Vena made fun of him. It was all in good fun, but he still didn't appreciate people making fun of his allergies. "Hey, you wouldn't like being itchy either, if it happened to you." The teasing was irrelevant, though. They had figured out a place that might work for their wedding, and that was the important thing. Tapping his wand on the table's surface, he grimaced slightly at the time. It was a little late to be sending an owl off, but then again, they were nocturnal creatures. "You think we should send an owl asking Mrs. Matcarey if she minds meeting with us tomorrow? She might not answer tonight, but she'd probably get back to us first thing in the morning." It would be Sunday, so she wouldn't be worried too much about keeping students in line, making it a perfect time to meet with her. He wondered what it would be like to go back to the school after not seeing it for a couple of years. | |

| Vena accioed a quill and ink towards her. They as well write the letter tonight and get that out of the way. The headmistress probably would reply early morning and then they could hopefully have a meeting later in the afternoon and get that out of the way. So they had one less thing they needed to worry about for the wedding. Vena hoped that she did say yes, it would be nice to have a wedding at Hogwarts. She passed the quill and ink towards Scor. "You can write it," She told him. It would probably come off better if he wrote it anyway. | |

| Dipping the quill into the inkpot, Scor accioed a piece of paper (which was much cheaper than parchment, he'd figured out) and positioned it so that both he and Vena could see what he was writing.
Dear Mrs. Matcarey,
It's been a while since I've spoken with you, but I have an odd sort of request to ask of you. Since I graduated (top of my class, if you remember) Vena Riddle and I have become engaged and we have been considering a place to hold our wedding. As hard as we tried, we couldn't think of a place any better than the Hogwarts grounds. We were wondering if it would be possible to meet with you some time tomorrow to discuss the possibilities of holding the wedding during the school's summer holidays. We would greatly appreciate your hospitality if we were allowed to use Hogwarts as the place which will formally bond our lives together, since we spent so much of them within its walls.
Thank you for your time, your faithful former student,
Scorpius Hyperion
Scor considered the letter. Despite a bit of fancy stretching here and there (he was pretty sure he'd made it seem like he and Vena had been engaged quite a bit longer than they really had, and as if they'd considered options for the wedding much longer than a few minutes over supper) it was fairly well written for such a quick letter. He glanced over at Vena. "Think that will do?"

| Vena read over the letter quickly, she smiled slightly as Scor made it seem like they had actually tried hard to think of places other then Hogwarts where they could have the wedding. Though Vena was sure Hogwarts really was the most suitible place to have their wedding. It had been their home for seven years, it had been the place where they had met and where a lot of the most important things in their life had happened. It made sense that another milestone in their life (one of the more important ones) would happen there. She nodded at him. "It's fine," She said with another nod. | |

| Glad that he wouldn't have to rewrite it, Scor nodded and went to put his head out the back window to look for an owl. They always seemed to linger around magical households for some reason, and he easily saw a tawny owl that he called over, tying the note to its leg. He walked back and went to the living room, as he had no more business in the kitchen, and flopped onto the couch. He seemed to spend most of his time there, on the couch, when he was at home. He decided he had gotten lazy and smiled at himself. He never would have been able to do that at the manor. Sometimes, it was easy to see all of the great things about being a free man. | |
