Noah and Eva.

"Yeah," Noah agreed. He did agree with her, but, he wasn't quite sure that what they called the giant squid was why people were interesting. The group they had asked walked off, resuming the conversation that they had been having before being interupted.

Eva was having so much fun, going up and asking random people random questions. She did not think that Noah appreciated it quite the way she did, but that wasn't important. She was happy, and he seemed to be enjoying himself--or at least, enjoying watching her get so excited. It was entirely worthwhile.

Which was pretty much true, Noah was amused at both Eva's reactions, and the reactions of the people that she asked. Most gave them bizarre looks, a few didn't find it very odd, a few wanted to know what they had figured out. So all in all, they got quite different reactions. "How many people are we suveying?" Noah asked her, using his hand to block out the sun.

Eva thought for a minute. "As many as you want. How many have we surveyed so far?"

"Uhm," Noah looked at his list, and quickly added up the dashes. "About fifteen?" He said.

Eva thought for a second before commenting. "How about... How does ten more people sound? Twenty-five sounds like a good number. Half of fifty!"

Noah nodded. "Sounds like a plan," He said placing the pen on the page, and wringing his hand, his wrist getting sore from holding the quill. "Come on, there's some people by the edge of the forest," He gestured with his head towards them.

Eva beamed. "Isn't this fun? This is just so much fun, and it makes me excited. I can't wait until we get the results!"

Noah laughed, and shook his head slightly, still very amused. "I suppose so," He said with a nod as they headed towards the other people. "It'll be interesting to tally it all up." He said, glancing down at the sheet trying to see which was winning.

Eva nodded. "It really will! I love this. Isn't this so much fun? I can't wait to see what people call Squidy! How many different names do we have so far?"

"Uhm," Noah said looking done at the sheet. "Seven." He said with a nod. "Giant Squid, Squidward, Squidy, McSquidley, Squidly Cannon, The Great Squid and Squiderus Snape." He laughed at the last one, it really was an amusing name.

Eva giggled. "That last one is absolutely brilliant. People are so amazing sometimes, aren't they? That's better than my name for Squidy!"

Noah agreed. "It is," He said. "You would just hope you were no-where near Snape when you were talking about the Giant Squid. Because, I don't think he would take that very well." Noah shook his head thinking about their potions professor.

Eva giggled. "That's true. I never thought of that. I think I'm going to start calling Squidy Squiderus Snape, now! It'll be fun."

Noah laughed. "Just be careful around him," He said. "Snape, not the squid." He cleared with a smile.

Eva laughed. "I'll be extra careful! I don't want to upset Snape. He seems hurt inside. He's not a bad person, just a hurt one. You have to be careful around him, because he does not know how to deal with being hurt."

Noah gave Eva a slight weird look and then shrugged. "I guess?" He said, having never really thought about it. "Doesn't give him any excuse about the way he acts and treats us though," He said. "He's really only making it worse for himself."

Eva thought for a second. "True. But I try to be extra forgiving of him, because no one else is."

"He brings it on himself," Noah muttered. "I think he wants everyone to fail out of his potions class, so he doesn't need to continue teaching them." He sighed and shrugged. "I dunno."

Eva frowned. "I don't think that sounds right. I think he just has really high standards. He does not want to be teaching potions. I don't know why, but he doesn't."

"He wants to teach Defence," Noah said. "Though why he wants to teach at all is a mystery to me. He isn't very child freindly. I can't see him choosing to teach because he wants to help people."

Eva nodded. "I always wondered why he got into teaching, as well. It does not seem like he wants to do it very much, so I don't know."

"I guess we'll never really find out," Noah murmured as they got closer to the edge of the forest, where a bunch of third graders were hanging out. Though taking care not to get too close to the forest itself.

Eva nodded. "It probably would not be smart to ask him about it. Someday, I want to find out why he is so sad, though."

"Yeah," Noah said. "Asking him might end badly."
