| "Sure," Noah said making sure that he had all of his things. He returned the books to wheere he had found them because he had an odd memory about remembering where he pulled books off of the shelf. He slung his back over his shoulder and picked up the book that he wanted to borrow. "Seeya," He said to Eva going over to the book-check-out-place. Once he'd borrowed the book he placed it into his back and went to make his way to Ravenclaw tower to work on the other homework that he had to do. | |

| "Sure," Noah responded, and after bidding him goodbye, Eva went on her merry way. She first stopped in to talk to Professor Flitwick about an extra credit assignment she wanted to do, and then went back to the dormitory.
The next day passed by quickly--thank goodness for weekends. By the time that dinner rolled around, she had gotten most of her work done, which was a relief. All she had left was to finish the pesky potions project.
Although, considering, things could have been much worse. Noah was a good partner, and although the two spoke little, they got a lot done. Maybe that was why they got so much done? Because they did not waste all their time talking. However, the two worked well together, dividing up the work evenly, with each person pulling their share of the work. Things had worked out well yesterday, and she hoped today would be as equally productive.
She made her way up to the library to meet again with Noah.

| Noah finished off the rest of his homework that he could manage to do before he retired to bed. Slightly worn out by the work load, they were Newt students now and the work was going to get harder. As shown the next day when the teachers piled more homework onto them.
After dinner he went off to the library to meet with Eva so they could finish off their project, a few days before it was due. But that was better then scrambling to do it at the last minute. It also gave them time to look over it and change a few things if they needed to be changed. He got to the library before Eva again and pulled out their notes a long with some new parchment to writethe notes up on.
"Hey," He said as he saw Eva enter the library out of the corner of his eye and sit down next to him.

| When Eva got to the library, Noah was already in there, once again. He had pulled out the notes they had taken, and was pulling out some clean sheets of parchment. Eva did not know how he always got up here before she did--maybe he just ate really quickly, or something like that. It was entirely plausible.
"Hey," Noah said as Eva plopped down next to him. "Hey, you stole my line!" Eva said jokingly. "You're supposed to be the one who sits there awkwardly, not saying a word." Eva was joking, and she really hoped that she made it perfectly clear--she did not want o offend Noah, and break the weak foundation they had developed as... acquantainces? Not friends, not yet.
"So, we should probably work on actually writing the paper, today. We need to get that part done, since it's the main part of the project."

| "Well your line is more interesting then mine." Noah told her with a small smile as she joked about him stealing her line. He then nodded at what she said next. "That would make sense and it works. So." He said and looked down at the empty parchment sitting in front of him. "Where do we start?" This was also kind of a reason he hated partner work, because sometimes he felt uncomfortable because he didn't know what the other person would prefere and if he was doing something wrong in their standards or something. | |

| "Well your line is more interesting then mine." Noah said, with the traces of a small smile forming at the corner of his mouth. He then nodded, saying, "That would make sense and it works. So..." He paused, looking down at the blank piece of parchment he had pulled out of his bag "Where do we start?"
Eva thought about it for a second. "That's a really good question... What do you think about dividing up the sections? There are a couple different questions we have to answer, we can each write part of the paper and put it together. We've done plenty of research, so we should be fine on that front." Eva paused for a minute before continuing. "Later on, if you want, I can copy the information down onto index cards, if you want, so it is easier to read during our presentation about it. Does that work for you?"

| Noah nodded. "Deviding it up would make sense," He said with another nod. That way they could get the work done quicker and could work seperatley so they didn't bother the other person and didn't get distracting. "That would be good thanks." He said in reference to her putting it on Index cards. That would be helpful because they'd know what they were saying and didn't need to hold some peice of paper.
He looked down at the questions and went down putting an asterisk next to a couple of the questions. "I'll dothe ones with the asterisks," He said. "You can do the other ones. Does that work?" He'd devided them evenly, as well as with question length.

| "Dividing it up would make sense." He paused, and when she asked about index cards, he responded, "That would be good thanks." Eva nodded, knowing that that would probably be the best way to handle things.
Noah then went through and put little asterisks next to some of the questions. He divided up the questions pretty evenly, even keeping in mind the amount of work each question would take to answer. The way he did it was very fair, Eva decided. "I'll do the ones with the asterisks," Noah said firmly. "You can do the other ones. Does that work?"
Eva glanced over the questions Noah had not chosen, and nodded. "That sounds like a plan to me." She copied down the non-asterisked questions on a separate sheet of parchment and got to work. She pulled out her notes, glancing over for the answers to the questions, and rephrasing them so she was not plagiarizing. She noted Noah doing the same.
She really had lucked out in the way of partners, oddly enough. There was not a doubt in her mind about that.

| Noah sifted through the pages of notes, when he found something that related to the questions he was doing. He jotted it down. He got another few pages of jotting downs for his questions before he got out more parchment and started to write it out. Changing the words so he wasn't copying. Teachers apparently did not like copying. Noah sometimes didn't see the difference, ifthe students mostly copied they weren't really learning much more then they would have if they'd fully copied. They still had to write it out so some was registering in their brains. Unlike in the muggle world where one could just copy and paste without reading. | |

| Eva worked for an hour when she finally looked up, put her quill back in the ink, and smiled broadly, her work completed. It had taken her much longer than she would have liked, truth be told, but her part was done. She had written out the answers to the questions in paragraph format, her handwriting neatly slanting in the dark, black ink.
She had an odd love for papers, as misplaced as it was. Just something about having the information in one place, in being able to read a simple sheet of parchment and gain all the information she needed to know made her smile.
She was such a Ravenclaw.
She neatly put away her notes, and she waited for the ink to dry on the parchment. It was longer than she had originally expected, but it fit neatly within the length requirement. She was proud of her work, and it was one of the better potions essays she had written.
She turned to Noah to see his progress.

| Noah had just about finished when Eva looked over. He was half way through answering the last question and he had all of the points he needed to answer it sitting in front of him. He finished off the question and wipped his quill clean. "Done," he said looking sideways at Eva who was also done. "What do we need o do now?" He asked tring to remember what the requierments of the project was. | |

| "Done," Noah said, finishing up not long after Eva "What do we need to do now?"
"Well, all we really have left is the presentation itself. I can jot down notes on index cards and get those to you tomorrow, so we can look over and possibly practice once or twice before we have to get up and present."
Eva put her part of the paper next to Noah's part, so that they would stay together. It would be bad if one of the parts was lost--Eva was not going to take half credit for this project because part of the work was lost. That would make the entire project seem rather worthless...
Eva stopped that train of thought, before it led to a dark, deep hypothetical situation, brewing in her brain. It would not happen. There was absolutely no way it could happen. Both parts were completed and together and nothing could possibly go wrong, because they were finished and it was done.
Eva breathed. | |

| "That sounds good," Noah said with a nod as she put the papers together and nicely into her bag, so theywouldn't get lost and crumpled. He was actually quite glad that Snape had partnered him with Eva, when she didn't insist on talking a lot, she wasn't a bad partner. She got her work done and from the glance Noah had taken at it, it sounded smart but not too smart that makes it seemed like it was copied.
"Practicing it would help, it'd sound more rehersed and less awkward." He ran a hand through her hair for a moment and put his quill and ink back into his bag.

| "That sounds good," Noah agreed, seeming rather pleased to be so far ahead of the game. Eva always liked working ahead, and apparently Noah did, as well. Although he was quiet, and the silences between the two were often quite awkward, he seemed like a good kid. Eva thought that if the situation was not what it was, she would be good friends with him, because they seemed to have quite a bit in common.
"Practicing it would help, it'd sound more rehearsed and less awkward," Noah continued. Eva agreed. "Yup. I always like to go over any speeches and all at least once before I present them, because otherwise they come out all garbled and stiff. I prefer having an idea of where things are going to go."
"You can leave now, if you want, Noah. I'm going to hang out in here to write up the flashcards, but you don't have to stay for that, if you don't want." Eva did not want to force him to stay when he would just be sitting there, awkwardly, while she wrote things down. It would be rough for both of them.

"I have other work to work on,"Noah said putting away his potions work and rumaging through his bag to find his transfiguration work. They had another essay that had been set in that class, own work thankfully. Though working with Eva was nice enough. "So I may just sit here and work on it."
He shrugged and took out his quill and ink again. Dipping his quill into the ink he got out his half started transfiguration essay and continued to work on it. He liked the library, as it was quiet and even if people did talk they talked in mostly hushed voices and let others work.

| "I have other work to work on,"Noah said, "so I may just sit here and work on it." He rooted around in his bag, pulling out another stack of parchment, his quill, and his ink. Eva nodded, pulling out a stack of index cards.
Index cards were not very popular in the wizarding world. Most wizards were painfully old fashioned, preferring quills, ink, and parchment to the modern writing utensils. However, Eva's mother was a muggle, and she always made it her task to make sure that Eva was stocked up on muggle items like pens, highlighters, and note cards. Eva rarely used them for assignments, but for projects like this, they were much more convenient.
Eva and Noah did not really talk while they worked. It was more a silent companionship--neither pestered the other, so each could get their work done, but it was not at all an uncomfortable silence.
Eva finally finished the note cards. She wrapped a rubber band around them and set them on the table next to her.

| The two worked in a plesant silence, which tahnkfully wasn't awkward. Noah couldn't stand awkward silences but he also could never seem to do something to break the silence. The only sounds were really their moving about as they worked and their various writing sounds. Out of the corner of his eye Noah saw Eva put the cards down on the desk in the middle of them.
Shortly after Noah finished off his transfiguration work and placed his quill on the table, after cleaning the nib to make sure ink didn't stain it. Which might seem a little odd as magic could wipe it away as quickly as it had formed. "When do you want to practice?" Noah asked her feeling somewhat idiotic though he had no reason to.

| Eva stared into space for a few minutes. She loved the library, with the stacks and stacks of books. The room smelled of old parchment and the bookshelves were all covered in dust. However, it was comfortable, and Eva enjoyed sitting in the armchairs, reading the books that she could not check out.
Not long after, Noah finished whatever he had been working on. He absentmindedly cleaned the ink off his quill. After a second, he turned a bit pink, his previous awkwardness returning. It had been gone for almost the entire day, too--Eva was starting to think that it had disappeared, almost. Unfortunately, she had no such luck.
"When do you want to practice?" he asked. Eva thought for a second. "Well, it is a Hogsmeade weekend, and I was planning to go into town tomorrow, to pick up some supplies. If you wanted, you are more than willing to come, and we could practice there." Eva was not sure that the idea would appeal to him, but she really did need to go into Hogsmeade, and it would make matters so much more convenient. She would be killing two projects with one trip.

| Noah thought it over, it was a good enough idea and he had to go into Hogsmead anyway. His ink was running out and he'd accidently broken one of his quills a few days before so he needed to get another one. He nodded at Eva as he put his quill and ink neatly into his bag. "That works for me, I need to go into town as well. So." He shrugged.
"Should we meet there or in the great hall or something?" Was Noah's next question, he could be quite good at asking questions. Though not really personal questions, more just questions to make him feel less confused and to get what was going on.

| "That works for me, I need to go into town as well. So." Noah trailed off, shrugging. Eva nodded, glad that it would work out for both of them. It was rather convenient, that they both needed to go into town, and it would probably save both of them a lot of time and trouble in the long run. No other arrangements really needed to be made.
"Should we meet there or in the great hall or something?" Eva thought for a second. They could meet outside on the grounds, but it might be tricky to coordinate an exact place. Meeting in Hogsmeade was also a possibility, but again, finding a place and a time to get together might be difficult. It seemed that just meeting in the Great Hall and heading off to Hogsmeade together would be the best option, she decided.
"The Great Hall sounds good to me. When do you want to meet? Earlier in the day would probably be better for me, because I still have a few last-minute things I want to get done this evening, but I'm flexible. What time works best for you?

| Noah thought it over, the morning would work for him best as well. He also concerntrated better in the morning then he did at night. "Tenish?" He suggested thinking that that gave him time to do a few things in the morning and then time once they got back from Hogsmead. He lost his concerntration later on in the night which meant that if he had homework to be done he had to get up early if he hadn't fnshed the homework that he needed to finish which he usaully had anway. He was usaully on top of his homework. | |

| "Tenish?" Noah said, hesitant at first, but then more firm in his idea. Eva nodded. Sometime in the morning would work better for her, and she was glad that it would work best for Noah as well. Getting up at ten would give her plenty of time to sleep in, so she would be ready to work on the project.
"Ten sounds perfect. So, we shall meet at ten in the Great Hall at ten. I shall bring the flashcards, so we can practice."
She did not really have much to say, so she told Noah goodnight, and she headed off, back to the common room.

| Noah nodded as she walked over and continued to pack up his belongings, having only half packed before Eva left. After he was ready he returned the book he had borrowed the day before, having read a majority of it but gotten bored with the rest. Though he found another book to borrow before he left the library. This one was a muggle book.
Half walking and half reading he made his way back to the common room, over the years he had succesfully managed how to walk and read without bumping into things and getting lost. He could walk at the pace he normally walked and still read succesfully while he did.
He got up to the common room and without looking up from his book sat down in an empty chair. After sometime it was getting too late for him to concerntrate and he decided it would probably be a good time to go off to bed.

| Eva walked back to the common room, yawning. It had been a hard day of work, but she had enjoyed herself, surprisingly. More than she expected, in fact. Who knew that it could be fun to do a research project with a guy that the day before she was completely indifferent to. She still felt like she did not know a lot about him, though.
She answered a question and walked into the common room. It was almost empty this time of night, but the fire was still crackling away cheerily. The chairs were soft and comfortable, and nearly all were empty, for once. Eva considered plopping down into one of them, but she was tired, and wanted to go to sleep.
She walked up to her dorm and went to sleep, getting ready for the day ahead.

| He put his book next to his bed side table as he got ready for bed. Making a mental note to continue it at a later stage, maybe if he had time after he had finished his homework in the morning. Or once he came back from his meeting with Eva. He yawned shutting his eyes and soon enough he drifted off to sleep.
His enternal clock woke him up at half past six the following morning, it always did without fail. Even if he was dead tired he woke up them and had to choice of either going back to bed or waking up. Drosily he headed for the showers and ten minutes later he was sitting in the common room, wide awake and working on his charms essay.
