The Final Wall is Breaking Down

Lyssa frowned. "What about the you-know-what?"

"You could wear a long sleeve shirt over it?" Cassie suggested clearing up the breakfast mess.

Lyssa shrugged. "I suppose so, although I think that defeats the purpose of swimming anyway. Although, it will stop me from getting sunburned...."

"You'll still be cool," Cassie said with a shrug.

Lyssa sighed. "Fine, I'll do that then," she said.

Cassie looked at Draco wondering what he was going to do, if he was just going to hang about or go home.

Draco ended up just going home, and then Lyssa, Cassie, and Lizzie got ready to swim.

The day passed and so did the night and then the family minus Cassie's dad who was at work was sitting at the table. Lizzie got up and put her plate away. "Mum, I'm going to meet Ally in town," She said picking up the car keys. "I'll be about later. K?" Sam nodded. "Bye Dear." Cassie watched Lizzie leave thinking. "Hey mum..."She said. "What Cassie?" "Iwas thinking." "About?" "Well I'm seventeen now-" "I would never have known." "Mum," Cassie muttered irritated and Sam smiled at her. "Continue." "Well...Can I learn to drive?"

Lyssa looked at Cassie like she was mad. "I already don't like cars. You learn to drive and I will never go near one again," she said, tucking some hair behind her ear, with a smile on her face. "And don't doubt that either."

"Well I can apperate, if failingly," Cassie said with a shrug. "So I should learn how to drive so hen I can move about in the muggle world without having to walk everywhere."

Lyssa shrugged. "If you want to, just don't kill anyone with that contraption."

Cassie looked at her Mum. "Pleasee?" She asked her. Sam sighed looking at her youngest daughter. "I suppose you can." Cassie grinned. "Yay." Sam smiled slightly.

Lyssa rolled her eyes at Cassie's enthusiasm. "Sam," she said, "I hope you know what you've just turned out onto the unsuspecting world."

"She'll need to learn to drive," Sam said with a slight shrug. "May as well get her to learn sooner rather then later."

"Need to or not, I feel sorry for the other people out there in cars," Lyssa said. She honestly didn't see the need to learn, and so did not get why this was all such a big deal.

Cassie looked at Lyssa. "You'd know me well enough by now Lyss, I'm not going to do things magically if the muggle way will suffice. And I'm generally going to live like a muggle once I'm out of school, so unless I plan on walking everywhere. I need to learn to drive."

Lyssa shrugged. "I'm not going to, so I hope you'll understand why I don't see the importance of the action."

Cassie shrugged. Though it sometimes bothered her how Lyssa didn't see the importance of some things that were important to her just because they were Muggle things. She prodded at her breakfast with her fork.

Lyssa finished up her breakfast first, and so headed back up the stairs to change, as she was still in her pajamas. Then she just stayed upstairs, reading a book while sitting in the windowsill.

Cassie sighed finished off her breakfast, she put her plate away and went back up to her bedroom. Grabbing her clothes and changing into them.
