They say time heals everything. But I'm still waiting.

"Watch a movie?" Laurie suggested. "Board game, uhh, some form of tag or hide and seek. Uhhh, drawing?"

Nicole shrugged. "Movie sounds good to me. Kills times. Keeps small children occupied." Then she thought for a moment. "What movie?"

"Erm," Laurie shrugged. She disapeared into her Mum's room and reeapred holdng the pile of movies. Which really wasn't that big. "Bada?" She said with a shrug putting them onto the table. "Batman!" Severus said. "No, I am not watching Batman." "But I want tooo," "No."

A few more days went by and soon it was nearing the end of the first week of Nic's stay at Laurie's place. It was nearing late afternoon when an owl, Nic recognized it as her mother's swooped down and delivered a letter to her. She opened it and frowned. Apparently her mum had something she needed to tell her and would -Nicole frowned here- be dropping by in person that night. Nicole went inside and told Cassie that her mum would be around later.

Cassie frowned slightly at the news that Nicole bore, she didn't want Lyssa near her house. She sighed, though she couldn't say anything to stop it if Lyssa had to tell her daughter something. She nodded. "Alright," She said. She was slightly curious as to why Lyssa was dropping over and couldn't just tell Nic what she wanted in a letter.

Later, Lyssa did indeed show up. And the first thing she said was, "This is actually more that I need to talk to Cassie, but she probably would have ignored the letter. Sorry for putting you in the middle Nicole."

Cassie frowned entering the hall, wondering what onearth Lyssa wanted to talk to her about. Though she was right, she would have just ignored the letter if it had been sent to her. "Fine," Cassie said after thinking about it. "I'll talk to you. Is it something that can be said in front of the kids or do we need to move elsewhere?"

Lyssa looked thoughtful for a moment. "I'd rather not say it in front of the kids. It could be said in front of them, but again I prefer it wasn't, quite a lot actually." So the two of them walked out of the room they were in, since the kids were there.

As they walked out Nicole turned to Laurie. "What do you think it's about? It has to be pretty important for our mums to talk, since they can't stand each other." She frowned. "I wanna know. Let's go sneaking."

Cassie led Lyssa into her room, as the girls were in the kitchen lounge room area, and she wasn't going to use the other three rooms in the house because two were the kids bedrooms and the other was her locked room room which she didn't want Lyssa in. Cassie sat on her bed, gesturing for Lyssa to take the chair. "So," She said not in the mood for pleasantries. "What is this about?"

Laurie nodded, although on a moral standard she was against evesdropping she was curious as to what their parents were saying. As she could tell from Nicole's mother's last visit that Cassie couldn't stand her, so it had to be something important. The two girls sneaked out of the room quietly heading towards Cassie's.

Lyssa was quiet for a moment, trying to figure out how to word everything that she needed to say so that it wouldn't come out stupidly. "Ok," she started, "this is probably going to sound incredibly stupid, but oh well." Then she stopped, sighing for a moment. "So, you know about the you-know-what," she motioned her head slightly at her arm. "Anyway, over the last number of years it's been faded, and then last night it was dark again. I don't know what that means, but I think maybe he could be back again." She shrugged. "I don't know. I just thought to tell someone my suspicions, and you were the first person I thought of oddly enough."

Cassie's eyes widened and then she swore, "He can't be," Cassie said shaking her head in disbelief. "He..oh bloody hell." She swore again, if he was back, that boded bad news. Cassie had thought that at least her children didn't need to grow up with the worry of some mad hatter trying to take over the world. And if he was back... She frowned. She was also slightly surprised that she had been the one Lyssa told, as the girls hadn't really talked in years and quite literally hated eachother.

Outside the room, Nicole looked confused, but then the adults weren't exactly using names or anything. She frowned a little. "What do you think they're talking about?" she asked Laurie. "You don't think it's that person, with the V, do you?"

"I have no idea..." Laurie said also frowning. She didn't get it either. "Maybe, I have no idea what else they would be talking about.."

Nicole frowned and looked thoughtful. "What else could it be? Anything else they would have talked about in front of...Hi mum..." Nicole looked at her mum who had just walked out of the room and was looking at her.

Cassie looked at the two girls with an eyebrow raised. "Havn't you even been told it's rude to evesdrop?" Laurie shuffed her feet awkwardly, glancing down at them. "We just wanted to know what was going on..." She said. Cassie sighed,

"It's only right that I know," Nicole said, "since it was me that got the letter that got my mum over here. I don't like being used as a middle person and then getting left out of the loop." She shook her head at the two adults.

"That's beside the point. You two are too young to both understand and deal with it and it didn't concern you." "You would have done the same thing," Laurie grumbled. "You're not me Laurie. Thank god."

"I don't think we're too young to understand," Nicole disagreed. "And I think you were talking about that one guy..V...V....V-something." She had a horrible memory with odd names. She frowned, trying to remember the name.

"Voldemort," Laurie said, having remembered the name. Unlike Nicole, she remembered the odd names. Cassie looked at them. "Both of you, I'm serious here. It does not concern you and do not throw a fit about how you want to know. Cause I do not care."

"If it was about him, I'm quite sure it does concern us. Something about that guy seems like it would concern everyone," Nicole said.

"Nicole. Shut up."

Nicole frowned. "I don't want to. Anyway, I'm right, aren't I?"

"I don't care if you don't want to. We don't always get what we want." Cassie said with a frown, though she ignored the second half of what the girl said.

"That made no sense. I don't want to stop talking. So technically it's not what I want, it's what I don't want. And you avoided the second bit to what I said."

"Nicole, I'm about this far," She held up two fingers that were just about touching eachother. "From losing my temper. I am not in a good mood so I would appriate it if you didn't push it."
