They say time heals everything. But I'm still waiting.

The two were quiet for a moment before Nicole spoke again, breaking the silence. Running her hand through her hair, she said, "No offense, Laurie, but can you go back inside for now? I need some time alone right now."

"Yeah," Lyssa said, "I know it would have been better from me, but I wouldn't have been able to tell her, or I would have told her before she started school." She sighed. "I suppose I should be going now. You probably don't want me around after all."

Laurie nodded, getting up from where she was sitting and went back inside. "Nic wants some alone time," She said to her mother with a shrug. Cassie nodded slightly, glancing at her daughter for a moment. THen she looked at Lyssa. "Yes, please leave. I have enough troubles without you being here."

Lyssa nodded at Cassie. "Then I guess I'll be on my way. Let Nic know I'm sorry, because I'm not going to bother her right now. That would just be counterproductive. Nice talking to you I suppose..." Then she turned and walked away.

Nicole stared at the ground for a while. She had a lot of new information to process through. She was feeling hurt, and upset, and angry. She just couldn't picture her mum doing any of that stuff. Eventually, when it started getting dark (she spent most of the day outside) Nicole got up and walked inside.

"Hey," Laurie said when Nicole reentered the house after spending most of it outside. "You hungry?" Cassie asked the girl as she entered the kitchen. Severus bounding behind her, wearing his Pj's and his hair wet, Cassie having just given him a bath.

Nicole looked at Cassie and shook her head. "I'm fine," she said. She was still upset and Nic could never eat when sh was upset. Instead, she just walked to Laurie's room and sat on the bed in there.

"Shouldn't have told her," Cassie muttered picking up Severus and exiting the room, heading to the little boys bedroom. Laurie frowned following Nicole into her bedroom, and sitting on the bed at the foot of it. Laurie wasn't quite sure what to say, she frowned slightly running a hand through her hair.

The rest of that day went by slowly, and the next morning when Nicole woke up she decided that, even though it was still bothering her, she would pretend that there was nothing wrong at all, and that she would act normal.

Laurie yawned rolling out of bed, she nearly ended up standing on top of Nicole, as she still wasn't used to that space being taken up by a bed. Wth some menuvering she got out of the room without waking up the girl. Not long after, when Laurie was eating her funny tasting cereal, Nicole entered the room. "Morning," Laurie said. "Want something to eat?"

"Morning," Nicole replied to Laurie. "And sure, food sounds good right now." She walked in the kitchen more and sat down, since getting the food herself was pointless. She still didn't know where everything was, or she would have.

"Toast or cereal?" Laurie asked her, finished off her cereal and putting the bowl in the sink. She kind of wished they had a dishwasher as she did not like it when she had to clean the dishes. Which she had to do half of the time.

"Cereal," Nicole replied. "Toast is disgusting." She made a face at the thought of toast. A few minutes later Cassie walked in the room with Sev. "Good morning," Nicole said to her, trying her best to show that she was fine now.

Laurie nodded getting the cereal and milk and making Nicole her breakfast. She passed her the bowl. Cassie nodded at the girl, "Good morning Nicole, Laurie."

"I'm sorry for disappearing and all that stuff yesterday," Nicole said to Cassie as she picked at her cereal. She still wasn't all that hungry.

"It's alright," Cassie said to the girl, proceding to make both her breakfast and Severus'. She put his on the table and he scrambled up his chair picking up his spoon and started to golf it down. Cassie popped her toast into the toaster. "I really shouldn't have told you.."

Nicole shook her head. "I needed to know so I'm glad you told me," she said. "Mum certainly wasn't going to tell me anytime soon." She shrugged slightly. "I just need time to procss it all and decide how I feel about it."

Cj:

Cassie just nodded, grabbing her toast as it popped up and getting the butter out of the frige. She sat up on the bench next to the toaster and bit into it. She'd gotten over her shouting fit from the day before and supposed that Nic could stay as long as her mother never came anywhere near her house again.

"I'm sorry about my behavior yesterday," Nicole muttered. " I was acting dreadfully spoiled and bratty. So I apologize for it. Yesterday was just a rather horrible day overall, so I'm sorry for that as well..." Nicole didn't know why, but she felt as if the entire day before was all her fault. Had she written her mother, none of that would have ever happened.

Cj:

"It's not your fault dear," Cassie said picking up Severus's bowl,scouping the left over into the bin and putting it into the sink. "And I shouldn't have shouted at you sorry." Next to Nicole Laurie whacked her head into the table. "Laurie?" Cassie asked looking at her. Laurie ignored her.

"It's okay," Nicole murmured. "You were upset, and it's understandable. A lot of things are understandable now actually..." Then she looked over as Laurie hit her head on the table. "Laur?" Nicole asked, looking at her oddly.

"Nothing," Laurie said rubbing her head, as she had hit it harder then she had meant to. It just bothered her slightly when people said so and so was there fauly and then someone else said so and so was theirs. "What are you girls going to do today?" Cassie asked them, putting the milk back in the fridge.

Tsuki:

Nicole shrugged at Cassie. "Beats me, I still don't know all what there is to do around here, as I haven't been here all that long yet..." She frowned slightly and looked at Laurie. "What do you want to do today?"

Laurie shrugged. "Can we go see a movie mum?" Cassie frowned slightly. "Maybe tomorrow, I need to go into work in about." She glanced at the clock on the wall. "Ten minutes." "Hrm," Laurie said frowning.

Tsuki: Nicole sighed and frowned a little bit. There was really nothing to do that didn't require some sort of adult intervention, since they were only 11-12 after all (sorry, not sure how old Laur is).

Cassie exited the kitchen, going to get ready for work. "Laurie look after your brother," She said putting on her shoes and was about to exit the door. Laurie nodded. "Alright mum, here Sev." "I wanna go with Mummy," Severus pouted.

Tsuki:

Nicole sighed and looked at Laurie. "So just what ARE we going to do today?" she asked. "Aside from looking after Severus that is. Because I'm drawing a blank."
