Nic looked at the girl in front of her. She apparently knew her, but Nicole didn't have a clue who she was. "And just how do you know me?" she asked, raising an eyebrow at this girl. "Because I don't know you."

Laurie looked at Nicole for a moment. "I suppose it has been five years," She said with a slight frown. "But we were best freinds. You seriously can't remember me?" She asked kind of hoping that wasn't true. She hadn't forgotten Nicole.

Nicole shrugged at her. "Nope, I don't remember," she said bluntly. "Maybe if you told me your name it would spark something, but I have my doubts."

"Laurie Evans," Laurie said. She felt slightly offended that Nicole didn't recognise her. Though it had been five years they had been best freinds all through their first year at Hogwarts.

Nicole pondered over the name for a moment. "Oh right!" she finally said. "You're that half-blood I used to hang around a lot, aren't you?"

Laurie's eyes narrowed at Nicole. It was a good thing she didn't have her mother's temper otherwise Nicole would probably be sporting a black eye. "Not how I'd put it," She said calmly. "But yeah."

Nicole looked off slightly to the side. "That explains why I don't remember you. I've tried to forget any blemishes in my past," she said.

"Why aren't you nice now." Laurie muttered looking at the girl. She had changed quite a lot since they'd last seen eachother. But she supposed that was to be expected as it had been five years. Laurie had changed a bit in five years, she wasn't as quiet anymore.

Nicole rolled her eyes at the girl's attitude. "People change depending the circumstances they are faced with," she said, as if that was some excuse for the things she had said before.

"Obviously," Laurie replied.

"Whatever," Nicole said. "I've wasted enough time talking to you. Plus, I'm due back home soon, or else the Dark Lord will be displeased with me....again."

Laurie looked at her slightly startled. "You're still with the Death Eaters?" She asked, finding that odd. If she was out in the streets on her own, couldn't she just disapear?

Nicole wanted to laugh at this Laurie girl. Really she did, but she didn't. "Still with them?" she asked, humor coming into her tone just a little. "Silly girl, I am one of them." Then with a cheeky grin she said, "And now I must depart." And Apparated away.

Laurie blinked, staring at the place where Nicole had been standing in moments before. "Alright," She said. "Normal." Then it sunk in. "Hang on?" She said talking to herself, which was easier then thinking to onesself because it was clearer. "She's a Death Eater?" Laurie set off home confused and wondering why Nicole had just gone back isntead of running away.

Nicole apparated where she was actually meant to be at the moment, which was at a lesson of sorts with Vena. As she walked up she saw the other girl. "I know. I'm late. Not my fault."

Vena looked at Nicole with a slight sigh. "Course it's not. It never is." Then she flicked her wand, nonverballing a spell at Nicole, who managed to deflect it this time. Half of the time the spell came at her unware and hit her.

"But it really wasn't this time," Nicole said, responding according to what Vena was doing. "I bumped into someone, who apparently used to know me."

Vena looked at Nicole. "Sure, sure." She said twirling her wand about in her hand.

"I'm not lying. Her name is Laurie Evans," Nicole said frowning. "So, what are we going to do today? Or can I just leave now? I was quite enjoying my walk."

"Dueling," Vena said tiwrling her wand and sending a spell in Nicole's direction. The girl had gotten way better over the five or so years.

The word had barely registered in Nic's mind as she deflected Vena's spell. "This is not fair," she complained. "You always win at this." She sent a spell back, knowing it was pretty useless already. She had only hit Vena with a spell once, and that was when Vena wasn't paying attention.

Vena smiled wickedly. And the girls continued sending spells at eachother. Vena going easy on the girl. After a while Vena disarmed her, sending her wand up into the air. Vena caught it, twirling it around in her fingers.

Nicole pouted as she was disarmed by Vena. "See what I mean?" she said. "You ALWAYS beat me. And you're probably not even trying either."

"Try harder then," Vena replied lightly throwing Nicole back her wand. Though she doubted that Nicole could beat her even if she tried her hardest. Because Vena is full of herself like that. Ahe.

"I'm trying as hard as I bloody can," Nicole snapped getting slightly irritating.
