I Don't Play Your Rules, I Make My Own

"I don't know!" Cassie shouted. "I was thinking about how much I hated him and it just, worked, I wasn't even thinking of it hitting you then. In my mind it was aimed at him!"

"Okay, fine," Lyssa said. "That's a good answer, because if you'll remember at Hogwarts, I sort of did the same thing, only I was thinking about that blasted Carrow. But, still, don't apologize."

Cassie's eyes flared. "What? Would have have rathered if I walked out without coming over?"

"No," Lyssa said, closing her eyes. "It's not that. I'm glad you didn't just walk out. But, don't apologize to me. You did what you had to do."

"Someone has to," Cassie said echoing Lyssa's words from days before.

Lyssa tried to smile through her pain. "Suppose they do," she muttered. "Now, help me get home before my mother sees me and makes me stay here until I'm mended."

"Kay," Cassie said helping the girl up, and back to their place.

Once they were back home, Lyssa settled on the couch, not quite sure what injuries to address first. There were the cuts, most still bleeding and stinging, and then there were the burns which just fucking hurt like hell.

"Do you want me to heal those?" Cassie asked her.

"If you want to, although I think most of the burns are going to end up scarring. Ruin my perfect Malfoy complexion..."

"I can see what I can do to make sure they don't. I didn't do much on burns, but I can do my best."

Lyssa gave Cassie a small smile. "Thank you."

Cassie did waht she could.

In the end there was a little bit of scarring, but not really noticeable unless one were to look closely.

Cassie sighed, sitting down on the couch.

"You okay?" Lyssa asked.

"I'm alright, I guess." Cassie said.

"Well, that's good."

"Yeah.." Cassie said.

So, it was another few days, and then they had to go do another thing.

THey were at the thing, and Cassie knew she couldn't hesitate, because she didn'twant to go through what had happened last time again. She set off towards the comotion.

Lyssa stood on the outskirts yet again, watching as Cassie disappeared into the place, wondering what the hell was up.

After she had done something Cassie went back to where Lyssa was.

Lyssa just stared at her as she did so.

"What?" Cassie asked her.
