"Lyssa, if I could live without you, I would have done so already. You would not be in my house right now. And I probably would have blasted you through a wall when I met you again at the battle at Hogwarts," Cassie tried to pry her fingers off of the pills.

"You should have blasted me through the bloody wall," Lyssa said, not unclenching her fingers.

"Yeah well I didn't," Cassie said narrowing her eyes. "You shouldn't give up your life Lyss, it may seem like it's all falling to pieces now, but it'll get better. Maybe not tomorrow, but soon. Please. Trust me."

"No, it won't," Lyssa said eyes tearing up. "I'm a Malfoy, Cass. There is no better for us. Ever."

"Yeah, and I'm an Evans. And if I say It's going to get better. Then bloody well, it's going to get better."

"I don't see how. I hate myself."

Cassie shut her eyes. "Don't, you have no reason to."

"I have every reason to."

"No, you don't. Lyssa. Please."

"Yes, I do. I killed someone in case you'd forgotten that little detail of my life."

"And killing yourself isn't going to make that better. You're just going to hurt everyone. Aren't we important enough to live for Lyss? Don't we mean enough to you?"

"You all mean everything to me...."

"Then stay," Cassie said softly, almost on the verge of tears. "For us. Please."

"But, all I ever do is hurt you..."

"You'll hurt me more by killing yourself, then you ever have, or ever will."

A couple of tears ran down Lyssa's face. "I can't..."

"Yes you can," Cassie said softly.

"How would you know?"

"Because you're amazing, and brave, and you will get past this. We, can get through this."

"I've been trying...Really, I have..." Lyssa said starting to cry.

Cassie wrapped her arms around Lyssa, hugging her tightly. "Please," She whispered pleading.

Slowly, in response, Lyssa unclenched her hand.

"Thank-you," Cassie said softly, scooping the pills out of Lyssa's hand.

"I'm sorry."

Cassie hugged her tightly. "I love you," She said.
