They walked to Celeste's mom's study. Celeste stopped Renee and knocked on the door.

"Come in!"

Renee waited for Celeste to walk in before her, before she entered.

"Maman!" Celeste said, running up to a woman standing in front of an outfit on a mannequin. "Is this the latest design?"

"It is. How do you like it?"

"It's really pretty," Celeste said, grinning. "I have a friend over!"

"Oh, you do?" Celeste's mother turned around. "Hello there! It's nice to meet you, dear. What's your name?"

Renee entered the room slowly after Celeste. "Hello Ma'am," she said with a slight nod of her head. "I'm Renee." She glanced at the mannequin curiously, admiring the outfit on it.

"Oh, no need to be so formal," Celeste's mother said. "You can call me Louise. What do YOU think of the outfit, Renee?"

"It's very pretty Ma'am," she said with a faint smile, walking closer to it. She knew she ignored the request to call her Louise, because that was what she was used to, and more comfortable with.

Renee glanced sideways at Celeste before she answered. "I went walking on the beach, and she was also on the beach."
