Cassie and Lyssa AE 6

I looked at Dumbledore again then at Malfoy, who looking completly indifferent.

"You know, I think I prefer Umbridge as Headmistress then you Snape." I said calmly.

I went flying back into the wall as if I had been punched. The air was blown out of me as I had been "punched" in the stomache. It come again this time on my cheek wacking my head back against the wood. I winced and rubbed my head gingerly. The spell came again this time hitting my neck. I coughed, my breathing turning ragid. My hand flew to my other cheek as it felt like a knife had been swipped across it. Blood fell onto my robes.

I watched for a moment, and then felt extremely guilting for telling on Cassie, as if something had snapped back in place in my brain and I yelled, "Stop! Please!" I stood up quickly from the chair I was sitting in, shaking my head, mostly at myself.

I winced again and put my finger to the cut making a face at the blood that covered my fingers. My head snapped up when Lyssa spoke telling them to stop. "I don't need help from a freaking Death Eater," I snapped. "Expecially not from you. You got me into this mess in the first place." My scowl turned to a look of curiousity as something flashed across Snape's face. It was gone within the moment but I was still curious to know what it was. Shaking my head at myself I glanced sideways at Lyssa.

"I know..." I said softly, mostly to myself. "But I wasn't just going to sit here and watch that. It was...horrible. I don't know what came over me earlier..." I shook my head again, and knowing she likely wouldn't listen to a word I said -she was too stubborn and hard-headed- I walked out of the office, closing the door loudly behind me.

I scowled again. "Yep great way to say your sorry say it then walk right out of the room," I glowered at her retreating back, the door slammed shut behind her and I scowled at Snape. "You should have forgiven her you know," He said, Cassie noted the same thing as before flash across his face. "Why the hell do you care?" Cassie asked a little stunned at him being nice. She couldn't recall Snape ever being nice in her life she doubted he had been in anyone elses anyway. "It's my problem not yours," And with that she too walked out of the room wondering why the Professor didn't call her back.

I walked, somewhat angry, up a few flights of stairs to a room I knew the way to by heart. The Room of Requirement. I opened the door and went inside to find a few rooms of what seemed like rather durable wooden practice dummies. Excellent. Something to take my frustration and annoyance and all sorts of other things out on.

I scowled not wanting to go back to class, it was still Muggle Studies so why would i? I walked aimlessly through the corriders or well pretended to walk and actaully limped through the corriders wondering what was up with Snape, he was acting weird...and nice which was weird. I shook my head in disbelieve slightly wishing that I could talk to Lyssa about it. Stupid Pride, I sighed wondering why I hadn't just forgiven her.

I exploded the practice dummies that room provided in an endless supply, which was fortunate since I ran out of the original ones with a few well sent Reductos and such. I just had so many different- and negative- emotions running through me. I was angry at myself for being so stupid in the first place, angry at Cassie for being so stubborn (even though all Gryffindors were like that at one time or another). I was just angry in general I think. And more than a little frustrated at things. I exploded another dummy just as the bell releasing the previous class rang. I shook some wood chips from my hair and robes and picked up my bag that had been abandoned on the floor when I walked in. I wasn't feeling all too much less angry, but I'd rather go to class in a bad mood than face an angry McGonagall if I skipped and she found out.

After walking aimlessly through the corriders for a while and getting absulutly no-where in her thinking the bell rang, Cassie sighed and ran a hand through her hair, she was still curious to Snape's weird mood but had no-one to talk to about it because most of the other people in Gryffindor she didn't have the trust to confinde it, well actually all of the other people she didn't. Cassie frowned and rephrazed it again, She had no trust in anyone in Gryffindor. The trust she had in Lyssa she'd lost after today, even if she was angry with her, she didn't need to go and tattle on her to a freaking teacher.

I walked down the stairs, stopping in one of the bathrooms on the way to check my appearance in a mirror making sure I had gotten all the wood chips and dust off from my dummy exploding excursion just a little while earlier. Then, once I was satisfied that you couldn't tell I had been doing that I continued on my way to class, not even really caring that the tardy bell had already rang and that I was probably more than a minute late. At least I was going, and McGonagall should be thankful for that.

I walked slowly down the corrider not caring if I was going to be late or not, I didn't really give a damn. I got to the corrider not watching where I was walking, which inconsequencly meant that I walked into someone. "Sorry," I muttered looking up and realizing it was Lyssa. "Sorry," I said again. "And not just for walking into you but for earier too, I was annoyed." I hoped she would forgive me but I wasn't sure maybe I was too late to say Sorry. I hoped not.

I walked down one particular corridor, and in the middle of the one second I decided not to pay attention and readjust my bag someone walked into me, causing me to nearly stumbled and fall, but I steadied myself. They however did fall. "Sorry," the person said automatically, before I had a chance to see who it was. Oh look...Cassie. Wonderful. A new sense of annoyance arose when she apologized a second time for how she had acted earlier. With a sigh I looked at her. "I could forgive you for that, but really I don't think I should. For a couple reasons, like oh I don't know punching me in the face, or better yet, for telling the whole fucking school I have a Mark." I paused and hid the anger I was feeling just thinking about it, saying in a calm voice,"Although, I do forgive you for running into me. You should really watch where you're going."

I threw my arms up in annoyance. "Great, just great," I snapped. "You chose to accept my Apology on the part that I said because of common curtisie and not the one that I actaully meant? Just great." I sighed. "I'm ready to forgive and forget but it doesn't really look like you are." I ran a hand through my hair.

I scowled at her. "Do I really have a reason to be ready? I can't even walk through halls anymore because of what you said without people whispering, and some being stupid enough to personally ask me if it's true. Anything I did to you has no lasting effects so don't whine to me about it." I turned on my heel and started back up the stairs. I needed to blow something up again. I had only made it a couple of steps however when I felt her grab my elbow and spin me around. "What?" I snapped, glaring.

"No lasting effects?" I snapped as I spun her back around. "What about the mental effects? How would you feel if you could Cruciatused by the person you thought was your freind, you started it anyway, not just with the Crucatus but in McGonagalls class," I frowned, "I'm tired of the fighting, okay I get that we probably can't be best freinds again but can we at least try and be freinds? Please?"

"I started it?" I asked her. "Are you mental? You started everything! The whole reason this ever happened was practically your idea!" I wrenched my arm free from her hold, and just stared at her for a second. Then I shook my head again and resumed climbing the stairs back to the Room of Requirement to reduce a few hundred dummies to dust and splinters.

"It might have been my idea but then it was just harmless fun," I yelled after her. "And it would have stayed that way but you went mental," "Miss Evans!" I turned on my foot to see McGonagall. I sighed and walked right past her. "Miss Evans, get back here at once," "Make me!" I snapped walking out of the hall.

"I'm not mental!" I yelled back at her and then with that said I basically stormed up to the RoR and once inside soon made a mess of the place, with wood everywhere when I finally stopped, breathing heavily. I picked up a big piece that had come from one of the dummies and threw it as hard as I could across the room, listening when it hit the opposite wall. I just stood there for a moment, glaring at the mess, only to clench my hands only to quickly undo that when I felt pain in both of them only to find out that they had both gotten splinters during the whole thing. Dammit...

I scowled aimlessly walking through the halls again, I kicked randomly at the floor which only succeded in bruising my foot, It was a snowball effect, one thing just led to another till it got bigger and bigger. Stupid, stupid, stupid. It was both our faults really. I sat down and lent against the wall. I looked around wondering where I was, seventh floor.

I managed to get the door to the RoR to open without causing my hands too much discomfort, but they were starting to hurt without anything touching them, and I was pretty sure a few of the splinters were dug deep enough to make me bleed a little bit. I had just left my bag there, not wanting to bother picking it up. All I wanted to do was get to the hospital wing and get the splinters out.

I shut my eyes leaning back on the wall hoping someone wouldn't come up behind me, like a teacher...or a Slytherin...or Lyssa. I sighed and ruffled my hair slightly. I started singing softly not paying attension to what it was I was singing.

I stopped halfway through the second verse realising that it reminded me of me and Lyssa. "Why are we chosing sides?" I repeated shaking my head at myself.

I made it to the hospital wing a matter of minutes later and Madam Pomfrey immediately asked me what had happened. "Nothing of an real importance," I mumbled as she got the first one out. And soon my hands were splinter-free, although they were still kind of sore. I left and went to get my bag from back upstairs in the RoR.

I continued singing softly to myself, why was it when one was willing to forgive the other, Lyssa had apologised slightly in the Headmaster's office and I hadn't wanted to forgive then, but I wanted to now but she didn't. I scowled in frustration punching the floor angrily which wasn't exactly smart as floors are hard, well they were softer then punching walls at least. I shook my head at myself.

I walked back to the RoR and opened the door, pleased to see it was the same room as before and that my bag was right where I had left it before. I picked it up and put it over my shoulder, just as the bell rang to release for lunch. I made a face and walked to the common room instead of the hall, sitting back on the couch there and pulling a book from my bag.

The bell rang for lunch and I sighed getting up so I wouldn't be stampeded by students, that wouldn't be pleasent. I walked quickly down to lunch blending into the other students, sitting down at the Gryffindor table I noticed Lyssa wasn't about, not at the Gryffindor table or the Slytherin one, she was probably in the common room, I frowned and bit my lip, I just wanted to forget about today and yesterday and get back to how life used to be, back to taunting Carrows and disturbing classes. I took an apple and bit into it, "Miss Evans?" I turned around and saw Professor McGonagall. "She's not here," I muttered taking another bite of the apple. "Miss Evans can youfollow me," It wasn't a question it was an order. "If I have too,"
