RP one million and seventeen; (26)

Lyssa sighed. She really really hoped her mum let up soon. She was getting tired of the fussing and the orders from her mum.

Cassie frowned again. Narcissa came in later and told Lyssa that she was aloowed to getup as long as she didn't over exert herself, which would land her stuck in bed for another few days.

Lyssa had nodded at her mum, pleased. That would make things easier at least. So long as Narcissa didn't find leaving the house to go to an Order meeting as over exertion. Then that would be bad.

The two gurls made their way to the Order's Head Quaters the next week, both extreamly nervous and hoping for the best, although truthfully the best would really be the worst, because they'd be helping Voldemort. "I feel like just giving myself in," Cassie sighed. "But I can't leave Lizzie."

Lyssa frowned and nodded. Then she had a thought. "What if we, say, explained our situation to them? And like worked out a way to feed Voldemort false information with the excuse that we're only 17 and that the adults aren't likely to tell us everything and are bound to discuss things when we aren't around?"

"Hrm," Cassie said. "That could work actually."

(Hey look they're doing a Snape!)

"It's worth a shot," Lyssa said.

(huh, so they are.)

The two got to the head quaters off the Order and entered, still feeling nervous as hell, or well cassie was and I presume Lyss is too.

Lyssa bit her lip a little bit, wondering if the adults would understand their predicament and such. Really, there wasn't a chance that they wouldn't understand but with adults, you could never know what they would do about something.

Cassie found it weird being the only teenagers around a group of adults. Even if both girls were legally teenagers. Half of the Order didn't look very welcoming. "Professor..." Cassie said going over to Professor McGonagall and with a glance at Lyssa she said. "We need to tell you something." And as quickly as the girls could summerise it they told McGonagall about what had happened that year.

"So you see, professor, we sort of need some help," Lyssa concluded.

Cassie nodded. Professor McGonagall survayed them for a moment, the rest of the Order also watching having heard Lyss and Cass' tale.

Lyssa bit her bottom lip slightly wondering what Professor McGonagall was going to say about what they'd told her. And what the rest of the Order was going to think since they had to eavesdrop on the conversation.

McGonagall sighed looking at the two girls. "Very well." She said with a slight frown. "We'll see what we can do. Sit down." The girls nodded and did so, thankful that at least Professor McGonagall didnt think they were lying. Probably because she had been their head of house for six or so years and knew how oposed to Voldemort they were.

Lyssa felt a little less nervous at McGonagall's words, but that still didn't deal with the rest of the people in the room.

Cassie felt less nervous and nodded thankfully.

Lyssa glanced around at the rest of the people there, trying to guess what they thought from their facial expressions, but as it turned out she wasn't very good at that.

"How do we know we can trust them?" Someone said and Cassie turned to see Professor Lupin sitting their looking skeptic. Cassie raised an eyebrow at him challanging. "We were the ones bugging Snape and the Carrows at every corner." She told him thinking that hehad used to be such a nice teacher...

"Remus, honestly," Molly said, calling Lyssa's attention to her. She hadn't noticed her before. "They're 17, what reasons would they have to lie about something as serious as this?"

Cassie smiled gratefully at Mrs. Weasley and Remus made a face. "Because they are seventeen and so think that we will believe them becuse they wouldn't lie."

"That is ridiculous Remus. You taught them for a year, so you should know well enough their personalities. Would they lie?"

"People change," Remus said. "Expecially in war." "Yeah like you seem to have," Cassie snapped back without thinking.

Lyssa decided to add something. "She has a point. The Professor Lupin I remember was nicer and he sure as hell didn't go around accusing teenagers of lying about something as important as insuring that our siblings don't bloody get killed."

"How do we know that your siblings really are on the line?" "Why don't you write to my mother? I'm sure she would be so glad to hear that it will be partially your fault that my sister gets murdered by a wizard she doesn't even know."

"And to honestly think I would joke about Draco's life. Are you absolutely mental?" Lyssa asked, giving Remus a hard stare. Then she sighed with a scowl. "Look, if you're going to refuse to believe us then..." She thought for a second. "Then give us Veritaserum and ask us. We can't lie that way."
