RP one million and seventeen; (26)

Lyssa walked up the stairs, tripping on the last one and falling down, knees hitting the floor first. She swore loudly at this. She was already sore from the position she slept in and the curse before that. She didn't need bruises from the bloody stairs added to that.

Cassie glanced at her foot which was now bleeding and made a face. She pulled the shards of glace out and cleaned up the wounds with magic. It was one of the first things she had learnt when studying to become a med-witch which Cassie wondered if that was ever going to happen now. She would end up missing her newts and she wondered if Voldemort's reign ever was going to end. Then she started, Harrywas dead. She had taken him to the cellar and Voldemort would have killed him the moment he got to the manor.

Lyssa made her way down the hall after getting back up again. She walked passed her door to Cassie's again. "Can I come in this time?" she said after knocking.

Cassie nodded and then realising Lyssa couldn't see her called out. "Sure, be careful of the glass though." She looked once again at the shards covering the floor and then at her foot that was now mended.

"I'm wearing shoes," Lyssa said as she opened the door and stepped inside, "I think I'll be fine." Then she winced a little when her knees throbbed when she stopped walking. Stupid stairs and their stupid lack of something soft to land on when you fell up them.

Cassie looked up as Lyssa winced but didn't say anything. Which surprised a small part of her, she had always been worried whenever Lyssa was hurt but right now she was just like ehhhh. She supposed it had something to do with what had happened yesterday, or before that. Or the whole bloody year.

Lyssa sat in a chair that was in the room, first checking to make sure there was no stray glass that had flown on it. "So, somewhat stupid question, but how are you doing?"

Cassie shrugged unsure of what to really say. She still felt kind of sick and now she was worried for her sister. Lizzie knew nothing of the wizarding world, she didn't have the slightest clue who the hell Voldemort was and now she was being held captive, and Cassie no way in hell trusted Voldemort with her sister.

"I tried to talk to him about Lizzie," Lyssa said., looking down at the glass on the floor and nudging a piece with the toe of her shoe. "Failed as could be expected, but at least I tried."

"Thanks," Cassie said. She wans't acting like her usaul self, if she had been she would have been plotting ways to annoy Voldemort without getting herself killed in the process now she was just kinda bleh.

"Then the stupid bastard used the Cruciatus, but that was mostly my fault for purposefully pissing him off..." Lyssa muttered. "I think we've switched personalities or something...you and me."

"He is a bit of a bastard," Cassie said with a frown. Then she looked up at Lyssa. "You know that sounds kinda true." She sighed. "I blame the cruciatus curse, that spell sends everyone bonkers. Who the fuck invented it I would really like to know."

"It does send people off a bit doesn't it?" Lyssa agreed, thinking back to her own experience with it. "The creator was probably more insane than Voldemort is. And that's saying something, because he's pretty freaking insane."

Cassie smiled slightly and then sighed chewing on the edge of her lip. Her worry for Lizzie came back and then she wondered how her Mum was coping. She'd literally just lost both of her daughters. She ran a hand through her hair and then her eyes hardened. She was going to find some way to get Voldemort back for this and to save her sister. (Though knowing both Voldemort and Cassie that will crumple when Cassie tried and Voldemort threatens Lizzie again. *sigh*)

Lyssa frowned at the worry that was evident on Cassie's face. "It'll all work out, you'll see."

Cassie had a de ja vu moment, thinking of their sixth year when Cassie had said the same thing to Lyssa about whatever it was that Draco had to do. As she didn't know at that point of time. "I hope so," She whispered.

"It always does. Nothing evil can exist without something good, and good tends to be in Fate's favor...so..."

"Hrm," Was all Cassie said. Sometime later some Death Eater or another came and took Cassie to Voldemort. Cassie glowered at Voldemort who flicked his wand causing all movement by Cassie impossible. She wanted to ask what the hell was going on but she couldn't move her mouth to do so. The next moment Cassie could no longer see the drawing room but a series of images flashed across her mind. Ones that showed the Dark in the light (that sentence is weird) and why the dark was better then then the light. Cassie tried to recoil into her mind, which was bloody impossible. She tried to push the images out to no avail, she knew it was some kind of mind trick but in a way the images captivated her.

Lyssa and Cassie were talking when the Death Eater came in to take Cassie to Voldemort. Natural curiosity sparked, Lyssa got up and followed them to the room. She didn't go inside the room, opting to watch from the door again.

Cassie continued trying to fight against the images, that's all they were just images. Just images, intent on confusing her. Why fight, it would be easier to just give in A voice in her head told her. I'm a Gryffindor,Cassie thought weakly.Not a Slytherin, I fight not run away from these things. But her resistence was starting to weaken. While she could stand phyical pain, mental was a lot harder to deal with Give in, 'no'

Lyssa watched, trying to figure out just what the hell was going on. She couldn't tell just from watching the scene in front, since obviously it's all in Cassie mind and not outward.

"No," Cassie shouted and this time it was an outward shout. "Stop plaguing my mind with lies. Your...Death Eaters, your killing people because they have no magic. Your killing children. We're on trying to stop you." By the end of it her voice was barely more then a whisper and Cassie's head was spinning, she could still feel the weight of the spell on her mind and it was just too much for her. She was weak, sick and worried and about to give in. She was sick of it all, sick of fighting, nothing came from it anyway...

Lyssa eyes got wide at Cassie's outburst. What could possibly be hoped to accomplish from doing that...It was against Cassie's nature to give in to things...Right? But she looked about ready to just stop fighting it. It seemed to be really taking a toll on her.

"I can't," Cassie said softly, her tone was almost pleading. "It goes against, everything...I've...ever standed for..everything." The last word was barely audible and through the daze that covered her mind Cassie could see Voldemort just watching her calmly, taking delight in her pain. "No, I can't." Cassie was nearly crying then, it was just to much for her to handle, she was a fighter but she couldn't fight forever.

Lyssa walked into the room, ignoring the other people. She went over to Cassie. "Cass," she said, looking directly at her friend. "You're stronger than him. You always have been and always will be, because you care about people. Just...don't give up. I believe in you."
