Lyssa frowned and turned over. "Cass," she said, before the other girl had even made it out the door. "I'm sorry."

Cassie sighed sadly. "So am I, but it's just we've all lost people Lyss. And I was in charge, I was meant to be looking after them." Her lip quivered and she bit down on it to stop it.

"I know," Lyssa said, sitting up in her bed and looking down at her lap. "I'm just being overly selfish. He was all I had for years and then you came along and then I had both of you, but now...half of that is missing..."

"I know what you mean." Cassie said softly but didn't elaborate.

"I'll be ready in a bit," Lyssa said, changing the topic quickly.

Cassie nodded and rubbing her eyes she went and stood outside with a frown.

Lyssa got out of her bed and walked to her closet, digging around inside. Moments later she had found something decent and suitable and changed into it. Then she walked out of her room to meet Cassie.

The two girls set off to where the funeral was taking place in silence.

The funeral went by slowly and sadly.

Cassie hated funerals, they were all sad and stuff and just guh. Although death wasn't sometime to celebrate people did funerals really need to be so depressing?

People started to leave once it was over, but Lyssa didn't move.

Cassie sat there next to Lyss, waiting until Lyssa found the energy or the want to move.

"Do you think," Lyssa said quietly after a moment, "that if I'd come back sooner and started teaching you guys earlier that this could have all been avoided?"

"It's not your fault Lyss," Cassie said softly back and shrugged slightly. "Who knows." Cassie didn't like what if's and do you thinks for this reason because they made you feel bad about something that could have happedn or you could have stopped but didn't.

Lyssa frowned. "It feels like it is," she said, blinking back some tears.

Cassie put her arm around her freind consollingly. "It's not your fault. It's Voldemorts and his stupid Death Eaters."

Lyssa shrugged, finally getting up to leave.

Cassie stood up aswell and the two girls went to leave, there were a few people still inside but not many.

A few days had passed since the funeral and Lyssa found herself standing in front of Draco's grave (oww that's hurt to type), looking at it. After a few minutes, she kneeled down and traced her fingers over the words ingraved on the stone that marked it, in silence, just thinking. A little bit later, it started to rain, not heavily, but also not lightly. Lyssa paid it no mind, just thinking, not caring that she was getting soaked and would probably catch a cold later since it was October and chilly outside. She stayed there for at least an hour, until suddenly the rain stopped hitting her. She looked behind her to see Cassie with an umbrella standing over her.

"You'll catch a cold," Cassie said softly looking at the grave and holding up the umbrella. Not that she minded standing in the rain but Lyssa had been out there for a while and Cassie didn't want the girl getting sick.

Now that the rain wasn't hitting her anymore, Lyssa noticed that she was shivering, only being in jeans and a long-sleeved tee shirt. Her hair clung to her face and neck. "I don't bloody care if I catch a cold," she said, standing from her kneeling position.

(and she shall indeed catch a cold, as that's what I wrote down...)

Cassie didn't say anything looking at Draco's grave, after a moment of silence she said softly. "We should go inside and get you changed into something dry."

Lyssa, who was still shivering, just nodded a little, but not moving any.

"Come on again," Cassie said softly gently pulling on Lyssa's arm.

Lyssa followed Cassie back inside.
