It's Complicated Conforming To Society

Lyall frowned more. "Well it does," she muttered before catching herself. Her eyes went slightly wider than usual and she inwardly swore, venturing a glance up at the other girl. Lyall knew that she'd said something that she hadn't meant to say, but there wasn't any taking it back now. And she knew this. Oh, how she knew.

Evie smirked again as Lyall looked up at her. That in it'self was conformation enough. "It would be disasterous if the school somehow found out don't you think?" She cocked her head to the side slightly. She was enjoying herself imeansly. Which made her sound mean, but hey, she could be mean.

Lyall's hands tightened into fists on the table's top and she was quiet for a moment. "Please," she said, "don't tell anybody." She knew that the other girl probably would, just from the way she looked all smug and was smirking.

Evie could not be a nice person sometimes and now was one of these times. Instead of telling the other girl that she wouldn't tell anyone she was assesing exactly what she could get out of it. How far would Lyall go to make sure her secret stayed a secret.

Lyall looked at Evie anxiously, wondering just what the other girl was going to do now that she knew Lyall's secret. She had never expected anyone to find it out, or at least fo anyone that to keep it hush hush. But not Evie apparently.

"Depends," Evie said with a smile. "On what you'll do for me so I'll keep it a secret." She was going to get something out of finding out Lyall's secret. She wouldn't be a Slytherin if she didn't. She'd probably be in Gryffindor or somewhere ghastly like that.

Lyall figured she should have thought of her answer, but it was so automatic that it didnt' get a second thought. "Anything," she said nearly immediately. "I'll do anything. I just don't want people finding out. It's hard enough already."

"Lovely," Evie said and then turned and strolled out of the library and go back to the common room. Her freinds were probably wondering where on earth she had been and Evie had no idea what she was going to tell them as telling them what she had been doing wasn't going to work.

Once Evie was gone and out of sight, Lyall planted her forehead on the table in front of her. She couldn't believe that she'd made that bad of a slip-up. And she also couldn't believe that she was now basically at the mercy of someone else.

Evie hummed as she entered the common room and sat down on an empty couch. "You took your time," Ella said looking over at her. "Headache," Evie said with a shrug. "I want to get something for it." Ella nodded at her.

Lyall stayed in the library a while longer, not really working anymore, rather thinking instead about the hole she'd been dug into just recently. Someone knew her secret, someone she did not trust knew her secret. This could only end in disaster. Especially since Ly had said she'd do anything to keep it a secret.

A few days passed and Evie didn't do anything on the fact that she knew Lyall was a werewolf. Though she was thinking of things she could do. One day after school the girls decided that they were going to go and hang about outside for a while, though Evie had to go and start her transfiguration essay that was due the next day. Which she'd put off. Though when she entered the common room she noticed Lyall and her eyes lit up momenterially. "Damen," She said walking over and dumping the book on the table in front of her. "I have a transfiguration assignment due tomorrow which hasn't been started and well..you're doing it."

Lyall, who had been doing her own homework when Evie walked in was startled at the book falling to the table in front of her. She was about to protest that she wasn't about to do someone else's homework, before she remembered what the other girl had held over her. Lyall just nodded and looked back down at what she had been doing before.

"Lovely," Evie said with a smile before turning to walk out of the dorm and catching up with her freinds. "Didn't you have that assingment?" Courtney asked her as she caught up to them. "Forgot I'd done it." Evie said with a shrug pulling her cloak furthur around her as it was fairly cold outside.

Lyall frowned as she looked down at the book that didn't belong to her. She really didn't want to do someone else's homework but her secret being kept was more important. But jeez, she had her own homework to do as well. Lyall finished up the assignment she had been doing before, and decided to get Evie's out of the way before starting the rest.

The girls started a snowball fight and around an hour later they all reentered the school, freezing and covered in snow. But they had had fun throwing balls of snow in each others faces. They reentered the common room and went to shower to get warm and then get on some dry clothing.

Lyall had long since finished the assignment that would help to keep her secret by the time they all came back. She had since returned to working on her's, laying Evie's to the side for the girl to get at her leisure.

Coming back into the common room Evie picked up her book from where it was sitting next to Lyall and placed it into her bag before having a fight with Ella about who got to sit in the chair cloest to the fire. In the end Evie won, but mostly because Stephi got up and pushed Ella off of the seat to shut them both up.

Nearly the same minute the group of girls started arguing over a chair, Lyall picked up all her belongings and made her way up to the dorms. She couldn't concentrate when people were around her making a lot of noise.

Evie watched out of the corner of her eye Lyall get up and leave the common room, heading towards the dorms. Ella grumbled about being kicked off the chair but sat on the ground leaning back on Evie's legs so she in fact was closest to the fire just not on a chair.

Lyall relocated to her bed, where she sat down and reopened her book to teh page from before. She looked over thewords on hte page, sighing internally. This would already be finished if she hadn't had an extra assignment to do.

A couple of weeks passed and Evie mostly got Lyall to do homework or assignments that she really could not be bothered doing. Sometimes she got her to fetch things she'd forgotten but she usaully didn't forget things so that task wasn't required much. And taking the blame for when she got on the teachers bad sides Which was mostly from picking on the younger kids.

Lyall frowned as she walked back from one detention that taking the blame had landed her. She was in a rather put off mood at the moment, and if Evie so much as opened her mouth to speak to her once she was back in the common room she was going to give her a piece of her mind.

Evie hummed cheerily as she sat in the common room finishing off some essay or other that was due the next day, she was getting rather slack with her homework. She absent-mindedly wondered where Lyall was and looked up when she saw the girl enter the common room. "Damen," She said a small smile playing on the edges of her lips.

Lyall scowled, since as soon as she'd walked through Evie had called her name. She looked at the other girl. "What do you want now?" she asked in an irritated tone. "I'm not your little lackey to boss around all the time."
