It's Complicated Conforming To Society

"Well you did say Anything." Evie reminded her leaning back in her chair with a slight yawn. "Finish my charms, it's nearly done anyway."

"No," Lyall said, "I don't think I'm going to. You can do your own freaking homework yourself. I'm done doing it for you. My grades are slipping because I'm doing yours, the teacher are starting to dislike me because you keep landing me in detention, and I'm done with it. Do you freaking homework yourself."

Evie cocked her head to the side as she looked at the other girl. "it's about seven now." She said as if she was talking to herself. "Let's see, by about ten. Maybe a little later. The whole school could just happen to know there's a werewolf residing in the castle." Then she shugged.

Lyall frowned at the corner she was backed into. On one hand she was done doing whatever the hell Evie told he to do, on the other hand she didn't want the entire school to know her secret (which would then no longer be a secret...). She thought about it, weighing each option. Finally she said, "I don't care anymore."

"Have it your way then," Evie said and got off of the chair. Calculating what to do next, and the fastest way to make it get around the school. In the end she decided to tell Ella, who loved a good chat, and whom was in the library. And any random person she met on the way.

Lyall frowned, taking over the chair that Evie had left behind. She contemplated if she was doing the right thing, then decided that it didn't matter now. What's done is done after all. She sighed, resting her head on her hands.

Evie had succeded in telling about five people before she even got to the library, she was doing fairly well if she said so herself. Ella fell off her chair when Evie told her but her eyes lit up at this new gossip. Evie went humming back to the common room, told two more people and then reentered sitting down on a chair near the fire.

Lyall had homework that she probably should have been doing, but she knew she wouldn't be able to concentrate on it right now. She continued to look at the floor, although she looked up when Evie came back inside.

Evie picked her homework up off of the table in front of Lyall and went back to her chair. Humming as she worked on it. She only had a few more questions that needed to be answered and then she was done with homework for the night.

Lyall sat where she was in silence for a while before she looked over at Evie. "So," she said quietly, "what exactly did you say to whoever you went off to talk to a while ago?" She continued to look at the other girl.

Evie glanced up when she heard Lyall talking to her. "Oh," She said just waving off handedly. "Something about werewolves, Slytherin and our year." Which really did just leave Lyall as the rest of the girls in Slytherin in their year were in their group and all girls knew that none of them was a werewolf. "And she got the gist." Evie shrugged looking back down at her homework.

A deep frown crossed Lyall's face. "So you basically flat out told them it's me, didn't you?" she asked. "Only in a slightly vaguer way." Then she frowned more. "Do you have any idea how much chaos this is going to create? Or did that fail to even cross your selfish mind?"

"Course I have an idea," Evie said lazily. "I just don't care." She finished off her homework and lay it onto the table to dry before she rolled it up and placed it in her bag. She cleaned her quill and did up the lid of her ink pot placing both into her bag.

"You know...it's not like I have a choice in what I am. It's what I was made when I was a child. Do you honestly value other people so little over yourself that you wouldn't care about possibly ruining someone's life?"

Evie sighed boredly. "Go and complain to someone who cares."

"You," Lyall said slowly and articulately as she got up, "are a bitch and I sincerely hope that this comes back to bite you in the end." the And then she walked briskly from the common room, paying no mind that if she ran into someone that Evie had told that things could get bad.

Evie watched Lyall walk out of the room and then shrugged indifferently turning back to her homework and rolling it up before placing it into her bag. She shouldered her back and went and dumped it in the dorm before setting off to find one of her freinds, who would be about some place.

Lyall walked rather aimlessly down a few hallways, lucky enough not to bump into anyone on her way, or at least, not anyone that had heard anything yet. Then as she turned a corner, Lyall quite literally bumped into someone. She looked to see that it was Ella, who was also one of Evie's friends.

"Allo Allo," Ella said as she noticed that the girl was Lyall. Her eyes glimmered slightly as she thought about what Evie had just told her. About the girl being a werewolf. She thought Dumbledore was mad for allowing one into the school. Or did he not care about everyone elses well being.

Lyall looked at the other girl, suddenly feeling like she was back in first year getting picked on for being a Muggleborn who was in Slytherin. "So," Ella said, "Evie told me something about you." Lyall, already knowing what it was asked anyway, "What did she say?" Ella smiled at her. "She told me that you were a monster, a werewolf actually." Lyall internally flinched at the word monster, having never actually dealt with the world's prejudices for what she was before. But the girl didn't let it show on her face. She just looked at Ella blankly, as if asking her to continue to spew prattle that didn't matter to Ly one bit.

"I'm actually quite amazed Dumbledore allowed monster's into the school, but then he is as mad as a hatter." Ella shrugged boredly. "How long are you planning to stay here Mutt? You're not welcome never have been."

Lyall frowned at the other girl. "I belong here just as much as anyone else does, despite the fact that I'm different," she said. "And do not ever call me a monster again. If anything, people who spread nasty rumors about people are the true ones."

"Last time I checked rumors are stories in which one is not particularly sure if it's true or not. So this really isn't a rumor as it's true."

Lyall frowned and her eyes narrowed. "I don't care if it's true or not. You honestly shouldn't be spreading it. What if a teacher were to find out? I wouldn't be the one to get in trouble for it."

Ella oprned her mouth to reply when an older Ravenclaw student turned the corner, she qickly assesed what was going on. (Having heard this supposed rumor not that long ago) "Arolai," She barked at Ella who turned a glower on her face. "Leave her alone unless you want to find yourself in a det and your house with twently less points."
