They say time heals everything. But I'm still waiting.

"I wasn't quite serious about that....but you're reactions were quite priceless."

Vena sighed slightly. "As pleasant as this has been, Nicole it's time for us to leave."

Nicole frowned at Vena. "You're probably right..." This made Lyssa frown. "You're staying right here, Nicole." Nic looked at her mum. "No, I'm not. I can't. Sorry."

Vena sighed, this was why she hadn't wanted reunions, because the family wouldn't want the girl to leave. "I do not have the time nor the patience to stand here for another five minutes to argue about this. You both know in the end that Nicole will be leaving, so why don't we just save the time and do something productive with it instead?"

"Jeez, Vena..." Nicole muttered. "Just chop their hopes all to bits." Then she rolled her eyes at the girl. Turning to her mum and Cassie and Laurie and yeah, she said, "But she's right. I won't be. And you have no place to stop me anyway, since I'm of age."

Vena smiled slightly at the girl. "That's what I'm here for," She said half jokingly. "You can't go," Laurie said frowning. "I missed you Nic, you can't just disapear again."

"I'm....not disappearing. Or at least I don't think I am. Not this time," Nic said, biting her lip. "I don't really know. It's just complicated..."

"Nicole," Vena said semi impatiently. "Come on." "What gives you the right to boss her around?" Laurie asked frowning at the girl. Vena looked at her, twirling her wand. "This does, and the fact that Tom put me in charge of her."

Nicole frowned at Vena. "I'm coming, I'm coming. Merlin, just give me a minute would you. Or better, leave without me. I can get back on my own. I've done it before."

"Knowing you if I left you you'd be here for another hour," Vena said with a sigh. "Fine, just say your goodbyes," Laurie frowned again. "I don't want you to leave." She said.

"Of course I'd be here another hour. Intelligent conversation is nice once in a while you know," Nicole said to Vena. Then she turned to Laurie. "I'm sorry, but I sort of have to. I was actually due back about 30-45 minutes ago." Nicole frowned. "Nic," she heard her mother say, so she turned to her. "I'm not going to try to stop you from leaving, you are an adult after all now." Nicole nodded at her with a smile. Then Nic looked at Vena. "I suppose we have to go now, don't we?"

"Yes," Vena said turning on her foot and letting herself out of the house. She waited for Nicole to come out and then grabbed the girls arm turning on the spot and disaperated.

Nicole sighed as they landed back 'home'. A part of her had wanted to stay, for good, but she knew that Voldemort wouldn't be pleased with that and that would lead to bad things for everyone. So, she did the smart thing instead.

A matter of about a month or so passed, and the Light had finally rallied up a force that was strong enough to even consider taking on Voldemort. And that is just what they did. As much as she didn't want to be a part in the impending battle, Nicole found herself being forced to. But she knew she would see her mum, and Cassie, and maybe Laurie there, and she didn't want to deal with that.

Laurie had fought with her mum about going and fighting, Cassie didn't want her to but Laurie wanted to help. "It's my life," She snapped at her mother. "I'm going to help. I'm going to do something to help." She scowled. After a few more hours or argueing Cassie gave in. Mostly because she knew what she had been like at that age, and how she'd wanted to help fight.

So, yeah....Everyone got the day that the big fight would happen, and it was quite the chaotic area. Spells flew places, people tripped over their own feet, and it was just crazy all around. And yeah, Nicole tried to avoid doing anything but at times she didn't get a choice in the matter. Then she spotted Laurie across the field looking like she was having a little trouble. Nicole frowned at this and despite the chaos it would cause went to help the girl out.

Laurie really had underestimated how hard fighting really was, she'd figured it would be hard and dangerous but she ahdn't really thought about the whole fact that it was quite possible for her to get killed.

Vena's wand swirled through the air, lights and spells flew out of it. Hitting the 'light' side and sending them unconious into the ground. She was rather hesitiant about killing people as she didn't like killing people but when she was forced to she did.

Nicole frowned as she dodged people. "Laur! Look out!" she said as someone crept up behind the other girl.

Laurie spun around at the call, she flicked her wand sending some spell at somehow who had been trying to sneak up on her and then turned back around. Seeing Nicole. Or seeing a flash of the girl before some people fighting obscured her view.

Nicole had almost reached Laurie when a few dueling people went in front of her. She stopped and went back a few steps to avoid them, then she ran over to Laurie. "You should be more careful," she noted.

Laurie sighed and nodded. "I know," She said her eyes darting about her, making sure someone wasn't trying to come up on her again.

Nicole decided she was going to stick by Laurie and watched other girl's back since Nic had been trained to duel well, and she sort of doubted Laurie's teaching in that area.

Tanya found herself attempting to and failing to duel a girl who couldn't be more than a few years out of school, much like herself. But unfortunately, this girl was very good at dueling. After a moment, someone joined in to help her out, then a few more people joined in, since they weren't making much ground. Soon there were 6 people against this one girl.

Vena's eyes narrowed as she fought the six or so people surronding her. She wasn't quite sure how many there were as she didn't have time to count them, because as soon as she'd deflected one spell another three were on there way. She sent a stunner at one of the people, but as she had to side step an incoming spell the aim was off and it missed. She swore quietly.

And so, the group of people dueled the girl until Tanya managed to disarm her.

Vena swore as her wand flew out of her hand, she needed her wand if she wanted any chance at being able to duel. Because without it she was pretty helpless. She dodged another spell, trying to see where on earth her wand had landed. But with everyone battling around her she had no idea where it was.

While the girl was looking around for her wand and manually dodging things, people tried to stun, and immobilize her, but yeah they failed. Then Tanya (she's awesome like that ) aimed and muttered a spell at the girl.
