They say time heals everything. But I'm still waiting.

Vena scowled as her arms were bound to her sides with some sort of rope. She twisted, trying to loosen it but it did not want to loosen. She scowled again, the rope would be magically bound to her so the only way to loosen it would be by magic.

"You've lost," Tanya said as the girl tried to get free of the rope binding her.

"Really?" Vena snapped at the girl. "I had no idea." She scowled darkly, wishing she could use wandless magic. Which would be helpful. But alas she couldn't. She scowled again, swearing quietly under her breath.

The dueling had mostly died down, so Nicole took the chance to look around. She noticed her mum and Cassie a ways off heading to her and Laurie. Then she saw a rather commotion-y group of people a ways off. She looked at them for a moment, trying to figure out what was going on. Then she noticed something that made her eyes go wider. "Vena!" she said, voice a pitch and volume louder than normal.

Vena heard her name and turned her head to see Nicole. She groaned slightly, under her breath. This would not end well.

Nicole started to make her way over to the group to demand what the hell was going on, when she was intercepted by her mother.

Vena was not in a very pleasant mood when one in the group grabbed her and apperated her to the ministry. After some tedious conversation between some ministry worker and the person who was holding her, she was taken to some cell or other in the ministry. Vena scowled as the door thing was bolted behind her.

Nicole watched, while looking around her mother, as Vena got apparated away. "What the bloody hell?" she asked, verbalizing her confused thoughts and looking at the two adults that were nearby, being her mum and Cassie who was over by Laurie.

Cassie looked at Nicole. "She was a Death Eater Nicole and by the look of it, she got overpowered and was taken to the ministry. She'll either get a trial or go straight to Azkaban."

Nicole nearly laughed at the start of Cassie's sentence. Vena being a Death Eater was like the sky being purple or something. But the slight amusement died with the rest of Cassie's explanation. "Azkaban?" Nicole squeaked out. "But she's not a Death Eater. At all. I'm more of one than she is."

Cassie looked at Nicole. "I somehow doubt that Nicole." She said.

"I don't," Nicole said, completely straight-faced. "Because she doesn't have the thing that all Death Eaters have, and I do. So I am obviously more of one than her, and so is my mum for that matter, if you want to get technical about it."

Cassie was slightly surprised at the fact that Riddle didn't have a mark, she would have guessed that she did. "Lets get the kids back to your house," Cassie said to Lyssa. "I think we need to get away from here."

Lyssa nodded at Cassie and they all went to Lyssa's house. Once there Nicole scowled. "Why are we here? Or rather, why am I? I have better things to be doing with my time."

"It's your house Nicole, where else would you be going?" Cassie asked. Laurie felt awkward at the argueing between Nicole and the parents.

"It's not my house. It hasn't been my house for five years," Nicole replied, which made Lyssa frown, but she kept quiet. Because, you see, Lyssa knew better than to argue with Nicole when she was in a bad mood. Cassie didn't. But Lyssa wasn't going to say anything; sometimes things just needed let out.

"Then where would you go?" Cassie asked her. "Back to where the Death Eaters live? Nice place to live." "Mum," Laurie said with a slight sigh. "Drop it."

"No," Nicole said, scowl forming. "I would go to the ministry and find some way to get the person who has probably been closest to me for those five years out of trouble. Without getting myself in trouble, mind you."

"Why would you want to ehlp a Death Eater?" Cassie asked her, finding that slightly weird. Even if Riddle had helped her the past few years, she wouldn't have needed the help if it hadn't been for the Death Eaters in the first place.

"I told you," Nicole snapped, anger finally getting the best of her, "she's not a fucking Death Eater!" Her eyes narrowed quite a bit and her scowl grew more pronounced. "Don't call her one again."

"Why else was she fighting with the Death Eaters then?" Cassie asked. "Why else would she stay at the place where the Death Eaters lived?"

Nicole gritted her teeth together. Cassie was really pushing her luck right now. "Because she's a Riddle," she explained, voice low. "Where else would a Riddle go? No one else would want her around because of Voldemort being a Riddle, so she probably just went to the one place that would."

Cassie rolled her eyes but before she had another chance to say something Laurie said. "What would you do? If you were allowed to try and get her out. What would you do to get her out?"

Nicole was quite caught off by the question. She hadn't even thought about it to be honest. She ran her hand through her hair. "I haven't got a single clue," she muttered with a frown. "But I would probably be willing to do just about anything."

Cassie and Laurie stayed for the night. Sev was at a freinds. Bah.
