A Change of Pace: RoA

Lyssa gave Cassie an annoyed look as if to say 'you think you're so smart', but she caught the cloak nonetheless.

Cassie pulled the cloak over her head, she quite liked it actually, it was still somewhat soft. "Okay portkey," She looked at the bracelet on her arm. Which at that point was a blue band and then shrugged. It would do. "Portus," She murmered flicking her wand at it and wondering if it would work. She'd never really tried to spell before.

Lyssa put her cloak on as well and then looked at Cassie. "So do we just touch it, or is it going to go off at a certain time, or what? I've never dealt with a homemade portkey before."

"Just touch it I think," Cassie said looking at it. "What it needs is like a keyword, so it isn't accidently touched and then *bang* we're somewhere we don't want to be."

"That would be useful," Lyssa agreed, "but I have no clue how to do that."

"Yeah," Cassie said with a slight nod. "I'll look into some other time."

"We both using the bracelet?"

"I suppose so, I can duplate another one later if need be."

"Works for me," Lyssa said, readying a hand. "Ready when you are."

Cassie held her arm out. Holding her hand over the portkey. "One, two, three." Both girls put their hands on it on three.

And yay it worked and they were transported to wherever they're going and I'm going bed now.

Cassie was quite astounded that it had actually worked. Truth be told she ahdn't expected it to. There was choas in Hogwarts, Death Eaters trying to get control and others still trying to defy them. Though less and less were fighting. At this stage there was only the year sevens, which made things easier, though if they wanted Cassie wouldn't have minded year sixes or fives. Though maybe not fives.

"Alright," She said. Frowning somewhat. "See if you can grab people you know, tell them to come here. Be here yourself in ten minutes, alright?"

Lyssa nodded at Cassie, already looking around for people. Spotting a group of her housemates, Lyssa headed over, carefully so as to not get spotted, since that would be bad.

Cassie darted around through the people, she was actually enjoying herself darting about and trying not to get seen. She bumped into a few DA members that she knew and quicky explained what was going on to them, they gave her edgy looks until she took her hood off showing that she was Cassie.

And so Lyssa went around for ten minutes, finding DA people and housemates and letting them know what was going on. Then she headed back to where she was meant to meet up with Cassie again.

Cassie went back to the meeting place, there was around ten or so students. Cassie held out her arm, looking warily about. "On three touch it." She said thinking she should have brought more or something.

So everyone somehow managed to touch the tiny bracelet and they were all transported back to Cassie's dead aunt's house, or maybe outside it, since I don't know if the wards allow them to go inside it.

The bunch of them entered the house and once they were in the living room Cassie explained more fully what her idea was.

Most people looked skeptical, but at the same time willing to try and fight back.

"Look," Cassie said looking at their doubtful faces. "I know it sounds stupid, but it's worth it. Unless you are happy to just allow Vol-" Cassie made a face cutting off at the last moment. She really needed to watch that. "One thing, don't say the name because the Death Eaters can find us if we do. Anyway, unless you are happy to just let him take over then we're going to have to fight. People our age aren't allowed in the order, which is stupid, because we can fight just as much as the adults and it's less expected coming from teenagers. Though we're not going to let them know we're teenagers." She gestured to the cloak she was wearing. "Maybe not the most stylish things, but they do the job. I'm going to see if I can somehow jinx them so that the only way the hood can be taken off is by the wearer, but we'll see how that goes."

"I'm in," someone in the group said. "Let's kick some Dark butt." Then the other nine or so people joined in as well. Lyssa couldn't help herself but to smile. It seemed to her that Cassie's crazy idea would pay off.

Cassie smiled at the group before her. "Awesome, and I am going to need your uttermost security on this, don't say a thing about it to anyone. Would be cool if I could perform a spell that would stop you talking about it, but I can't so I'm going to have to trust you. Which may be a stupid thing, buy hey, it's the best I've got."

"We're going to need more people," Lyssa added, "so if you guys have someone you trust enough not to blab, let us know, because all we can get right now are seventh years."

Cassie nodded. "We are going to need to devise a way to call on your as well, and for you to get here and out without needing to apperate as some of us can't, and those of us who aren't of age, which will be younger years or can't apperate."

"Until that gets ironed out though," Lyssa said thinking out loud, "as most of you are DA, we can use the coins to contact each other. Then we'll devise a better way to do that. Dunno about the rest though." There were several nods as people took in the fact that this was going to be very real.
