Brand New Day

Lyssa bit her lip as she followed Lucius to his study. After entering, she closed the door quietly behind her and looked at her father, waiting for him to say something.

Lucius looked at Melyssa. "Melyssa," He said cooly. "I only accepted your request of your..freind staying here under the condition that she behaved herself, as last time, her behavior was inaduquate. And if she can not controll herself and her language she will have to leave. Further more, it is partly your responsibility to make sure that your guest's behave themselves."

Lyssa fidgeted slightly under Lucius' gaze as he spoke, looking down at her shoes, still biting her lips. "I know, father," she said quietly when he stopped.

"Look at me when you are speaking and being spoken to," Lucius snapped grabbing her chin and pulling her head up so she was looking into his face.

Lyssa tried to look away again, not liking looking at Lucius, but his grip was too strong. "Let go," she said softly.

"No," Lucius replied cooly, not letting go of the girl's chin.

Lyssa kept her eyes' gaze off to the side to avoid looking at her father. "Let go," she said more firmly.

"Look at me," Lucius snarled. "It is not in your position Melyssa to tell me what I should and should not do. Now, look. at. me."

Lyssa flinched slightly as Lucius' grip tightened in his anger. In response to the action, her eyes automatically closed. A second later she opened them slightly and just barely looked at Lucius.

Lucius' hand dropped from the girl's face. "Out," He snapped at her.

Lyssa didn't need told twice. She turned and headed out the door as fast as she could, letting it close behind her. Turning, she headed back in the direction of her room, massaging at where Lucius had gripped. It still hurt slightly and she was sure it was reddened if nothing else.

"You alright?" Cassie asked, she'd been leaning on her door waiting for Lyssa to appear. "I'm sorry you know. I really don't think."

"I'm fine," Lyssa said, trying to force a smile as she looked at Cassie, as if trying to prove it. "He just lectured me a little."

"Sure?" Cassie asked her, chewing on her nails.

Lyssa nodded. "Yeah."

"If you say so. I'll try to you know, refrain but I can't promise anything."

Lyssa shrugged. "It's fine," she said. "Really."

Cassie shrugged slightly at her.

"I'm just gonna go rest now," Lyssa said. "It's been a long day."

"Okay," Cassie said entering her room.

Lyssa walked into her room and fell down on the bed, closing her eyes. She really was quite exhausted.

Cassie sat down on her bed with a yawn.

Ummmm *skip to next morning*

I dont have time to write it out fully, but I am expand later. So Cassie pushedDraco (who was rather foolishly near the pool. Like come on, it's his fault being that close to the pool and to Cassie it's obvious it's gonna happen) into the pool.

Lyssa, who was also there, stared with wide eyes. "Cassie!" she said, voice raising an octave.
