I'm Guessing You Can't Always Win

Lani frowned. "Jeez," she muttered. "I was having some fun, and then you just walk over and start giving out orders."

"You can have fun later," Regan said. "Because, in case you hadn't noticed while you were drawing shapes, we are, kind of in the process of trying to defeat Order members."

Lani scowled darkly. "Hey, now my shape happened to help, seeing as they have one less fighter now, so why don't you just sod off and let me do this my way."

"Fine, but if you get hit in the back because an order member hit you when you were taunting someone you'd already captured, it's on your head." Regan walked off sending a hex at an order member.

Lani rolled her eyes after Regan, before turning to look at Taylor again. "Hate to admit, but she's right, so I've picked for you." Then with a fake smile she deftly sent a spell to knock Taylor unconscious.

And Taylor fell unconious so yeah.

So, Lani moved to get her and take her back to HQ.

Taylor woke up, feeling sore, like you did when you slept on the ground or something. She blinked. She wondered where the hell she was, though she got it. "Ah frick," She muttered. "Frick, frick, frick."

Lani walked to wherever Taylor is.

Taylor frowned, wondering how the twins were. And if someone was looking after them. She blew her hair out of her eyes.

Lani walked in, noting Taylor was awake. "Finally awake, eh?" she asked. "You were out quite a while."

Taylor looked at her, arching her back as it hurt. "Didn't rest well though, pity."

"Sorry to hear that, but no fixing it," Lani said.

"Sure you are," Taylor said, wondering how long she had been out for.

"I really am sorry," Lani defended. "I can't imagine that sleeping for 12-ish hours on a concrete floor can be nice."

"Yes, but you're not doing anything about it, so you're not." Taylor said.

"I can be sorry even if I can't do anything about it."

"Whatever you say there Comrade," She said fully aware that comrade was the opposite of what Lani was, but for some reason she found it fitting.

Lani raised an eyebrow. "Comrade?"

Taylor grinned at her. "Dunno," She said. "Why not?"

"Because we aren't."

"That," Taylor said chipperly. "Is the point."

"You're so backwards," Lani muttered. Then she looked over her shoulder. "Where the hell is Regan?"

"Would not have a clue," Taylor said. A few moments later the door opened. "Speak of the devil and the devil shall appear," Taylor said. Regan glanced at her for a moment, before looking at Lani and shut the door.

"Where have you been?" Lani asked upon Regan's appearance.
