Just a day like any.

"Indeed we do, wonderful. Their first attack will most likely be in the common room, or first class tomorrow. So they have some time to form a somewhat plan."

Drew nodded. "I agree. It will be tonight or early tomorrow. Watch yourself, okay? They'll find it easier to get to you than me."

"Course I will," Demi said. "I am very careful in prank wars, it wouldn't do to get caught in the middle of a prank now would it?"

Drew grinned. He wanted to ruffle Demi's hair. She was funny when she got serious--it didn't happen often, and it usually involved prank wars. "Silly goose."

Demi poked out her tongue. "Silly goose yourself."

Drew laughed. "To action, then?"

"Sounds like a plan to me!"

Drew grinned. "Try not to be so enthusiastic. It's suspicious."

"Sorry," Demi said with a shake of her head. "I'll try and not be so enthused than."

Drew grinned. "Well, it's okay to be a but enthused. It would also be suspicious if you were not enthused, because you always are."

"Jeez Drew," Demi said. "Make up your mind."

Drew laughed. "Just act normal."

"My normal? Or normal normal?"

Drew grinned. "Your normal. Absolutely."

Demi winked. "Okay then. I'll be normal." She clicked her fingers. "Shall we go?"

Drew laughed. "Sure. Let's go!"

Demi grinned,and so they went.

*TIMESKIP*

*NEXT MORNING*

Drew woke up and got dressed and all that jazz and went to meet Demi. Today was the start of the prank war.

Demi watched the Marauders in the common room that evening. Lupin sat away from them, his head in a book. Pettigrew seemed unsure whether or not to sit next to Potter and Black or with Lupin and in the end sat in the middle, going from one to the other until he just stopped and sat there. She decided that they weren't going to do anything till the next morning. She left the common room later than usual the next morning, timing it so she'd get to the hall when most people were finishing eating.

Drew walked down the hallway, knowing roughly when the Marauders would be emerging from the common room. He made sure to keep a bit of distance in order to follow them without alerting them to his presence. Pettigrew would be twitchy but dense, Lupin caught up in reading or pondering, Black and Potter caught up in planning. Perfect for not getting noticed. He waited until they came and set up a trail. They would certainly go down to the Great Hall first. There, Drew could meet Demi for breakfast and plotting.

Demi hummed as she sat down at the table, and grabbed her meal, shaking salt on to it. With a grin she twisted the lid, loosening it. The next person who decided they wanted salt would end up with quite a slog more than they originally wanted.

Drew followed the Marauders, listening in on their conversations--he did not really learn much, besides that their early-morning conversations were particularly asinine. He headed off to the Great Hall for breakfast, seeing Demi already seated there. She had a huge grin on her face--Drew would have to be careful about what he ate.

Demi grinned at the Marauders, Lupin gave her a wary look and sat as far away from her as he could while still being close to the other Marauders. "Sleep well?" She asked carefully holding the lid down on the salt and tipping some onto her foot. Potter gave her a sour look. She looked at him earnestly and held up the salt. "Salt?"

Drew mosied over to the table--he would be sitting with the Gryffindors today, they agreed. Demi seemed to be about to play a prank on the Marauders, although Drew did not know if they realized it. Lupin seemed to sense it, as he was being particularly cautious, even for him. He seemed to have this constantly edgy aura around him, as if he didn't trust the rest of the world. Drew wondered if it was permanent scarring from hanging around the likes of Black or of there was another reason for it. Black and Potter were a lot more cautious. Drew watched as Demi handed the salt out to Potter, knowing that the lid was probably unscrewed. It was a classic move by Demi when she wanted to clear the air and insight something bigger. Start little, work your way up--that was her style. Drew finally reached the table.

Potter was still looking at Demi warily. "What?" She asked him as she scooped her food into her mouth. "I didn't poison it or anything." She shook her head at him. "You saw me pour it onto my food. It's like you don't trust me or something." She pouted at him, hiding her grin.
