Just a day like any.

"Spoilsport," Demi said with a grin, glancing around the room.

Drew stuck his tongue out. "So, we're waiting, then? Where is this niffler?"

"I don't know. Knowing the Marauders they'll turn up late." She shook her head.

Drew grinned. "That is stupid, of course. They just draw attention to themselves."

"Well, here's three of them..where's Pettigrew?" Demi murmured as three of the Marauders entered the classroom. "Unless he's a distraction?"

Drew frowned. "I have no idea where he is. Lupin is looking a bit guilty. Something is up."

"My guess is there is going to be some sort of distraction, and then BOOM niffler attacking everyone."

Drew nodded. "That is logical."

And so class started.

Drew was watching the door cautiously, knowing that if a niffler was really being brought in, Peter would come in late with it. The thought made him kind of nervous.

"Demi," he said, "Why don't they just get on with it already?"

"Because," Demi said her eyes flickering to where the Marauders were sitting. "They know we're expecting something. So maybe, if they take so long we will give up trying to be ready for it and boom!"

Just then, Drew saw Peter's face through the window of the door. "Be ready," he warned Demi.

Demi nodded. "So how," She asked watching the door out of the corner of her eye cautiously. "Are we going to keep us from getting blamed, slash, retaliate?"

Drew pondered for a second. "Well, if the niffler comes in with Peter, it will be easy to pin it on them. That's what concerns me. This seems to easy."

"Hmm," Demi said as the door opened. "They're not THAT stupid to do something that obvious though, are they?" She narrowed her eyes at the boys. "What are they planning.."

Drew was nervous now. He watched as Peter walked in, with a bulge behind his back--definitely the niffler. He had gotten it into the room.

The teacher glanced up at Peter, frowning. "Why are you late Mr. Pettigrew?" "Forgot my books Professor," He replied sitting down next to Remus. The teacher sighed at him. "If you are late again to my class you'll get a detention."

Peter sat down, moving the niffler from back to front, making him seem pregnant. Drew stifled laughter and became uneasy again. Something was going to happen soon. He could feel it.

Demi was watching them warily. There had to be something else. The niffler would go off. And then what? "They're gonna use the niffler as a distraction," Demi whispered to Drew. "For some other large plan."

Drew nodded. "Has to be. Nothing else would make sense." The niffler hit the ground.

It took the niffler a moment to get it's barings. "Boom," Demi muttered to Drew as the niffler spotted someone's watch and dived at it.

Drew nodded. "Keep your eyes on the others. They'll be the ones carrying out the rest of this."

Demi nodded at him, watching the Marauders intently as the rest of the class exploded into chaos.

The rest of the class was in chaos when Drew saw something silver and shiny emerge from James's pocket. He flashed a quick look at Sirius, and nodded. Drew tried to see what it was, but was too far away. "James, hand. Watch it."

Demi's eyes narrowed. "What are they doing?" She murmured with a frown. "I need to see what it is," She muttered standing up, and edging to the back of the room. The Marauders, Demi and Drew were the only ones somewhat calm in the chaos of their classmates around them.
