Just a day like any.

It was a deluminator. Crap. Crap crap crap. Drew knew the lights would go out and got his wand out and ready for lumos.

Demi stopped suddenly, when the lights went out. "Drat," She muttered as the classmates got even more frantic. She narrowed her eyes. Though, she had to say, it was a very clever idea.

"Lumos," Drew mumbled, and his wand went on. He walked over to Sirius and James. "What exactly are you trying to pull?"

Demi saw Drew with a light, and pondered going over to the boys. But decided against it, pulling out her wand she crept around the classroom trying not to trip over her classmates and some of them also pulled out their wands and lit up the room.

James looked innocently at Drew. "Whatever are you talking about? I haven't done a thing."

Demi crept up behind the boys, keeping a little distance. She frowned, wondering what to do.

Drew laughed. "Oh, then who do you propose did this? Common sense does not say it was anyone else. I saw your deluminator."

Most of the class had their wands lit up, some had left the classroom to escape the niffler that was still attacking, and the teacher was exclaiming that if something like this happened in his classroom one more time he was going to quit.

Drew walked over to the professor. "What are we going to do? Where is the niffler?"

The Professor looked at Drew. "I think, getting everyone out of the classroom..." He muttered franticly as a group of students screamed as the niffler flew at them.

Demi giggled from where she was standing. She had to admit that it was a clever idea. "So," She said walking over to the Marauders. "Good idea," She said with a grin. They watched her warily.

Drew agreed with the professor. "Getting everyone out of here sounds like a good idea." Drew and the professor began to lead everyone from the classroom. Drew gave Demi, who was now talking with the Marauders, a warning look. "Remember, they want to blame us for this."

Demi grinned. "I know," She said cocking her head to the side. Wondering how they were going to blame it on her. "Have fun," She told them taking care not to kill herself by stampeding students as she headed towards the door.

Drew helped everyone out and then helped the professor clean up the classroom. The professor then turned to him. "Who did this, I wonder. Do you have any idea?" Drew inwardly groaned. Should he rat out the Marauders? That seemed stupid.

Demi gave Drew a smile as he headed back into the classroom to help the teacher clean up. The students scattered, none of them going to stay around the class room long enough to be brought back in if the classroom was cleaned up in time.

"Um..." Drew said. "I don't know. I have my suspicions, but I don't really know." Drew lied smoothly. "I can promise you it was not Demi, though. I watched her the whole time. She's hard to keep in line sometimes, but she's a good person. The Marauders aren't nearly as caring as her when it comes to outsiders."

Demi headed to the great hall, figuring that Drew could find her there after he had helped the teacher clean up whatever mess the students and the niffler had created in the darkness.

Drew reassured the teacher and left to find Demi. It had been a close call, and he was still worried that the Marauders had something up their sleeves.

Demi was eating an early lunch. "How'd the clenaing up go?" She asked when Drew appeared.

Drew sighed. "Bloody Marauders. I cleaned up after them. I'm surprised they didn't try to pull anything on you while I was straightening their mess up."

"I think they thought they'd have a hard time pinning that on me, if I left the classroom looking as if someone exploded on me."

Drew nodded. "Check your food. We don't want you poisoned. They have to be up to something else."

Demi glanced down at her food. "Aye aye," She said. "That would be bad. In the meantime, we need to get back at them."

Drew sighed. "Do we really have to?"

"Drew, you can't win a prank war if you do nothing."

Drew sighed. "Do we REALLY have to win this, Demi?"
