Just a day like any.

They reached the tower, and Demi gave the password.

Drew snuck in with Demi, very conscious of the fact that he did not belong in Gryffindor tower.

Demi was enjoying herself, even sneaking Drew into Gryffindor was fun, because he wasn't supposed to be there. The two darted up the stairs for the boys dormitory before anyone who was milling around could notice that he was a Ravenclaw.

Drew was only there because Demi wanted him there. He felt completely out of place. "Let's get this done quickly," he whispered to Demi.

"Trust you to want to get out of here quickly, anyone else would be thrilled to be in another houses common room. On the topic of house rooms," she said. "You mister, still need to tell me how to get into Slytherin house." She poked him. "I haven't forgotten that."

Drew laughed. "Why on earth would I tell you how to get into Slytherin? That would be setting off a bomb and expect it not to explode in my face."

"Pleaaaaase?" she asked him. "I am being very nice and not pulling you into this prank war very much," she told him. "I could very easily drag you very far into it so you can't get out."

Drew shook his head. "It's going to take a lot of convincing to get me to tell you. Don't expect it anytime soon."

"You're so mean!" she exclaimed pouting. "How can you know these secrets and not tell me. Some friend you are Mr Andrew."

"I don't want to get you killed, that's all!"

"How would I get killed?"

"Death by angry Slytherins."

"Pfft, like they'd catch me."

"You can be conspicuous sometimes, you know."

Demi grinned. "But Drewwwww, I wanna fill the Slytherin common room with Gryffindor stuff!"

"...Yeah, you'd definitely get caught."

"I'm not the only Gryffindor that would do that. The marauders would probably too if they could get in."

"However, they have yet to figure it out. I'm surprised at that, really. You'd think they'd have Remus do a bit of basic research..."

"Remus is probably smart enough to not go around angering Slytherins," she mused, pulling him up the stairs. "before the Marauders come up after Kingsley kills them."

"You know you just insulted yourself. You said you were more dumb than the marauders."

She shook her head. "Remus doesn't count. I know he's smart. The rest of them," she shook her head. "I'm wondering how they got this far into their education, it's a bit surprising really."

"It really is. Although, I suppose most of them are actually fairly brilliant when it comes to magic. I do wonder about Pettigrew, though."

"I don't know how that dunderhead passed our first year," she muttered. "He's hopeless."

"He has Remus, though, I suppose. And James and Sirius to tutor him in spells."

"James and Sirius do about the same amount of work that I do," she said, as they reached the boy's dorm.
