Cassie and Lyssa AE 6

Lucius stepped forward towards Lyssa and Cassie and Lizzie stood their frozen to the spot as Lucius slapped his daughter across the face.It a tone full of venom and coldness he snapped. "Do not talk to me in that tone."

Lyssa took a step back from Lucius, eyes wide and mouth dropped open. Her cheek stung, and her eyes were watery. She blinked a few times, too stunned to do anything else at the moment.

Cassie's eyes widened as Lucius slapped Lyssa across the face and as much as she wanted to whack Lucius over the head with something hard she found herself unable to do anything. Lizzie how-ever had no such problem, while partually shocked that a father would actually hit thier daughter she wasn't shocked into stillness, she picked a book off the shelf that was next to her and threw it across the room hitting Lucius, who was still furiously looking at Lyssa, over the head.

Lyssa snapped out of her shock as the book smacked Lucius, catching him off-guard. Both of the Malfoys looked over at Lizzie, Lucius looking downright furious, and Lyssa with some sort of shock that wasn't the same as the shock from before.

Cassie also turned to look at her sister, who was staring indifferent at Lucius who was fuming. He took a step towards her but Cassie sidestepped standing in front of her sister. "Don't you dare go anywhere near her." She snapped, her tone full of venom. "Get out of my way your filthy half blood." Lucius snarled.

Lyssa glared at Lucius. "Don't you dare talk to her like that," she practically growled at him, eyes narrowed dangerously. Apparently, she didn't care that Lucius had just slapped her for using a tone like that when talking to him.

"Why don't you get out of my way you filthy pureblood." Cassie snapped back at him raising her arm to block her face as he tried to hit her. "I can fight ten times better then you could," Cassie told him in a tone that dared him to try again. "I grew up in the muggle world, where you don't need fancy lights and hand movements." Cassie's body jolted as pain ran through it, she stepped back slipping over and narrowly missing her head on a desk.

Lyssa growled angrily and stepped towards Lucius. Then doing something she'd never done before in her life, she clenched her hand into a fist and punched him, which of course completely caught Lucius off-guard since that was likely the last thing he ever expected. Of course, it caught Lyssa off-guard too. She'd definitely hung around Cassie too much. Her violent tendency had rubbed off.

Cassie looked up at Lyssa shocked, she had never in her life seen Lyssa punch someone, let alone her own father. The shock caused Lucius to stop the spell that he had been casting at Cassie and turn around at Lyssa. He flicked his wand, rendering Cassie and Lizzie immobile. He grabbed his daughter's arm and pushed her into the wall with quite some force.

Lyssa winced as she hit the wall. That had probably been a pretty stupid move, but she didn't really care. He had been hurting her friends, so she had to do something. Lyssa looked at Lucius, who looked more angry than she had ever seen him.

(and this is a really horrible spot for me to have to leave for tonight isn't it? *sigh*)

Lucius hit her again and Cassie winced wishing that she could do something to stop Lucius. "Don't. You. Ever. Do. That. Again."

Lyssa winced, and felt like crying. Tears had sprung into her eyes, but she held them back.

Cassie wanted so badly to shout at him. In the Muggle world he would have been arrested for child abuse, Cassie wasn't hat sure about the laws in the wizarding world and even if they were, the ministry wouldn't do anything about it. Lucius let go of Lyssa and then pushed her against the wall causing her head to bash against it. Cassie winced again and felt useless, she hated that feeling. She was magically stuck lying on the floor from when she had slipped and watched as Lucius abused her best friend. Cassie for about the billionth time was glad that she didn't have a father like Lucius but felt so sorry for Lyssa for having Lucius as a father.

He cared more about his feelings and his family name then the wellbeing of the rest of the family. He didn't care if they were misrable, probably prefered it if they were the git. A glance at Lizzie showed Cassie that her sister was writhing and wanting very much to push Lucius' head into the wall and see how he liked it.

Lyssa whimpered and decided to hell with not crying. She winced at the pain in her head.

Lucius turned away from his daughter without the slightest showing of remorse and flicked his wand at the two girls frozen in place. Causing them to have movement of their bodies again, but both were too terrified to move. "Out," Lucius said and with a sympathetic glance at Lyssa they did so. Cassie glanced at Lyssa and tried to send her a mental hug, which she wasn't sure if that walked. Lucius walked behind the two girls making sure neither of them ran. Lucius stopped in front of the door in which he had locked Lizzie in last time and when his back was turned on Cassie she turned into a kitten and scampered down the hall as fast as her cat legs would take her. Hopefully disapearing before Lucius noticed she was gone.

Lyssa slid down her wall to the floor once they were gone, wrapping her arms around her knees. She was still crying, and still hurt.

Cassie ran and didn't once stop. Skidding around a corner she spotted Narcissa and so turned back into herself taking the Elder Malfoy by complete surprise. "Cassandra," She said looking at the Gryffindor girl suspicously. "What are you doing here?" "Well I was on a recue misson that went horribly wrong," Cassie said looking edgily over her shoulder expecting to see Lucius appear out of nowhere. "What do you mean?" "Well you know how Lyss left Hogwarts with me, she went to my place and Lucius came and apperated her back here and so me and Lizzie, my sister, came to save her. Cause no offence but she doesn't like it here and Lucius caught us," Cassie said that all in once breath and taking a breath she continued at top speed. "And got angry and Lyssa snapped at him and Lucius hit her and then Lizzie threw a book at him and he got angry at her and then he hexed me for saying something and then Lyssa punched him and he hit her and bashed her against the wall." Cassie ended her summary and glanced at Narcissa who looked livid. And that was an understatment.

"That man did what to my daughter?!" Narcissa cried, absolutely fuming.

Cassie shrunk back slightly at her furry. She was shaking now. Lucius at that time turned the corner and Narcissa turned to face him. "Move Narcissa," he said seeing Cassie just about hiding behind her. "Leave her alone Lucius," Narcissa snarled at him.

Lyssa had calmed herself down after a couple of minutes, and got up, walking over to the bathroom connected with her room to look in the mirror, to check if Lucius had left a mark. Her cheek was red, but that was all.

"She insulted me and our family." Lucius said darkly. "And you attacked our daughter." "She deserved it." "From what I gathered from Cassandra here she was merely sticking up for her freind and her freinds sister. Now get out of my Lucius so I can go and see if my daughter is alright."

Lyssa walked back out of her bathroom with a sigh. Her head still hurt, much like a really annoying headache, and so did her cheek.

Lucius' eyes narrowed and Narcissa glared at him. "Get. Out. Of. My. Way. Lucius, or I will do something I would rather not do." And she pulled out her wand. "You wouldn't," Lucius said holding out his. "I would and do not test it."

Lyssa walked over to her bed and sat down on it.

The next few minutes proceeded in Lucius not moving, Narcissa bashing him into a wall and Narcissa walking down the corrider at a brisk pace.
