Lucy and Lyall

Lucy headed off the class the next morning wondering how Lyall was as she hadn't come back the night before, after a rushed breakfast from having overslept she headed off to Herbology yawning slightly.

The day after the day after the full moon Lyall was finally back up and ready for classes. She left the Hospital Wing, where she had spent the day before sleeping and walked down the flights of stairs to breakfast, hungry like mad that she was. She walked in the Great Hall to notice she was one of the first people there as it was still pretty early but what else did she have to do? She sat down and started to eat.

Lucy entered the great hall the next day and spotted Lyall, she went over and sat next to her. "Feeling better?" She asked her grabbing some cereal as she didn't feel like having toast for breakfast that day.

Lyall looked up from her plate, having not expected Lucy to show up just then, startled. "Uh yeah," she replied running her fingers through her bangs.

"Thats good," Lucy smiled at Lyall before putting a spoonful of sugar onto her porridge, she didn't know where she'd picked it up as her mum didn't like her putting sugar on her breakfast.

Lyall just shrugged lightly. "Suppose it is....not that I really want to go to class...." she said, then muttered the last bit. "So how was detention?" she asked, remembering it.

Lucy shrugged. "You'd be amazed at how many people manage to spill potions." She poured herself a glass of milk. "Which reminds me, Professor Snape said that she had to do your detension friday,"

"Wonderful," Lyall said sarcastically. "And thanks for making the prospective detention so much better. I really hope I don't have to clean up spills, or something equally as gross. Though with Snape..." She sighed and shook her head.

"It's Snape." Lucy said with a shrugg. "What else do you expect?" The girls finished their breakfastand headed off to transfiguration in silence. The class was kind of boring and hard as they had moved on to harder things like pin cushins and the likes.

The next couple months when by quickly. Classes got harder, Lyall got slightly more used to changing at school, and some other stuff. It was now just after her third transformation of the school year. She walked to breakfast, and as the other two times she was one of the first people in there that morning.

Lyall had gone to sickbay sick again. She seemed to be getting sick every month which was abit odd, Lucy frowned as she exited out of the common room, it always seemed to be on a full moon aswell... The Slytherin stopped in her tracks and frowned. Couldn't be, could it? But then it made sense... She frowned and tried to shake off the thought, impossible. The Headmaster wouldn't allow a werewolf in the school. Would he? Her parents had always said he was mad, which Lucy thought he kind of was, but she sighed and continued walking up to breakfast wondering what to do.

The Great Hall was gradually getting more people in it as they woke up and made their way there. Lyall picked at a left over bit of egg from when she was eating (since she was in there super early she was already done eating and just waiting for class), slightly bored.

Lucy walked up to breakfast, he head spinning, she really had no clue what to bloody do cause she didn't really want to walk up to Lyall and go "Are you a werewolf?" That was both rude and well sticking her nose into other people's buisness. She sat down at the table and grabbed a waffle and grabbed the syrup, she covered her waffle with syrup and then looked down at it having actually poured all the syrup next to the waflle not actaully on it...

"Morning," Lyall said when Lucy sat down and got waffles to eat. She noticed that Lucy had completely missed getting the syrup on the waffles, which was odd. "You missed your waffles. What's on your mind, since it's obviously not on breakfast?"

"What?" Lucy looked down at her waffles again, she sighed and dippedthe waffle into the syrup before taking a bite of it. "Nothing,just tired I guess." She wondered if Lyall would believe her and sighed taking another bite of waffle and trying not to get syrup all over her.

Lyall raised her eyebrow at Lucy. "Liar," she accused. "If you were just tired you would be snapping and not all mellow. Like that one time you stayed up late to study for a test and were crabby all the next day."

"Yeah well im tired but not exhusted," Lucy said looking into Lyall's eyes, she thought it was her mum that told her, if you lying look into the person's eyes because if you purpously look away then it makes you look guilty. Unless the person is a legimeans thenit would be best to stay looking away.

"Lucy Prince, you're still lying to me," Lyall persisted. "And you're not doing too well to hide it either. Your facial expression gives it away."

"Am not,"Lucy pouted going to refill her half empty glass, before she poured the mixture in she noticed she was holding the pumpik juice jug not the milk one. "Milk would be nice." She muttered putting that down and picking up the milk jug.

Lyall's eyebrow rose again as Lucy nearing poured the wrong thing into her glass. "There is definitely something on your mind. Now spill."

Lucy scowled. "But you won't like it." She protested wondering how else to turn to subject on it's head and go onto a comeptly random tanget.

"I don't freaking care. It's obviously really bothering you," Lyall replied. "So either you tell me now, or I'll bug you to death all day. It's better to talk about things than keep them inside." She had learned that recently herself when she would talk to Lupin occassionally about well her being a werewolf. It was rather nice to talk things that were bugging you out.

Lucy sighed. "Fine," She muttered. "But don't say I didn't warn you." Lucy stood up and walked out of the hall and outsied Lyall following her. "Well ah.." She said running a hand through her hair, Lyall looked at her expectedly. "Um..well..." She bit her lip. "You're a werewolf aren't you?" She said quietly looking at her feet.

Lyall looked at her a second, shocked. "And what if I am?" she asked just as softly, looking out over the lake, running her hand through her hair.

Lucy shrugged. "I don't know," She replied still talking softly wondering what was going to happen next. She sighed. "Lyall, I don't mind you know and I promise I won't tell anyone or anything." She ran a hand through her hair.
