Kali Larson was sitting on the Hogwarts Express, having arrived earlier than most students, due to a want to escape her parents. Her aunt hadn't been able to see her off this year. She leaned back on the cushy seat and sighed. She would be seventeen in just half a year and then she didn't know what she would do. Her parents abhorred magic and had decided back when she was 11 that the day she turned 17 they were done with as their obligation as parents would be fulfilled.

Kal ran her hand through her hair, eyes nearly tearing up at the mere thought of losing her parents. Even if they didn't like what she was, she was still their daughter and she still loved them. And she knew they loved her, but that they just couldn't deal with the magic.

She watched as more students began arriving and soon the platform was covered in families. Kali looked through the crowd, trying to find her best friend Addi, but there were so many people that the task was made impossible. She sighed and leaned back again, crossing her arms. Just as she gave up her search the door to her compartment opened. Kal turned her head to see it was Addi.

Adelicia Astrea stood on the platform next to her parents and her brother Max. Well Maxwell but Addi called him Max. It was just easier. She only half payed attention as her father and mother said goodbye to them. She just wanted to get onto the train and away from her house. She had had enough of it. After hugging her mother she grabbed her case and set off onto the train. her brother only a few feet behind her.

She was quite nervous about the coming year at Hogwarts, as she knew that Death Eaters were going to be at the school and that Snape was headmaster. Which really could not end up well in the end. She was also somewhat worried about Kali, as the school wasn't allowing Muggle Borns. But Kali did have a magical aunt so it all worked out in the end.

She entered the train, pulling her trunk through the corrider making her way around other students who justloved to crowd the corridors and make it impossible for other students to get through. She found the compartment with Kali in it and entered putting her trunk into the racks.

"Hey," She said sitting down on the chair.

Kali smiled just a little bit when she saw Addi. "Hey," she responded. "So how was your summer?" She leaned back in the seat, frowning slightly. She was thinking of her own summer and all that she'd heard from her aunt. Kal herself didn't get any news from the wizarding world, but her aunt did. So a lot was being relayed to her.

"Yeah alright," Addi said with a slight shrug, crossing her legs. Which was just bordering on the edge of lying. Her holiday hadn't really been that pleasant, with everything that was going on in the wizarding world. And her families participation with Voldemort.

"It's atrocious, what's happening to the world, isn't it?" Kali said, reading Addi's facial expression and swiftly moving the topic along. "I mean, they're ruining everything magic is and stands for and it's dreadful."

Addi nodded. "Absolutely ridiculous," She said thinking about it. "I can't believe it. I also cant believe Snape is headmaster. Snape. I can so see this year not being pleasant." She frowned. "I feel sorry for the younger students who don't get to see the actual magic of Hogwarts. And the new Gryffies. No way we'll win this year."

Kali nodded. "This year is going to suck. Hogwarts has gone to hell in a hand basket, damned Voldemort." She sighed in a frustrated tone. Voldemort always worked her up quickly. She couldn't stand the stupid bastard.

"yeah," Addi said with a nod. "They've got Death Eaters teaching Defence and Muggle studies. Muggle studies is also now mandetory.Stupid."

"I don't need bloody Muggle Studies," Kali complained. "I freaking live with them."

"It'd ridiculous," Addi repeated again, she didn't want to take the stupid class. Like she cared about how muggles acted compared to how they did. "I somehow doubt it will be like how the other Professor taught it as well." She said frowning. "Stupid death eater will probably preach about some crap or other." She scowled slightly.

Kali scowled. "Quite honestly, I don't freaking need this. I know about Muggles, I know about stupid Muggles. I LIVE with stupid Muggles," she complained.

"I know, I know," Addi sighed. "It's ridiuclous."

"Can I just graduate already? It would save my sanity."

"Nother year," Addi said with a sigh. "Won't it be fun."
