Cassie was in diagon alley. Laurie was at Sam's, for two reasons. One being that sometimes it was just easier doing what she had to do without the small girl underfoot and the other that she didn't feel very safe taking her daughter around very much, at least not around the wizarding world. With the threat of Death Eaters around. She sighed. Again, they were at War again. Against the same wizard for the third time. He needed to just die already, and actually stay dead. She entered the Apothocary, her mind listing the things that she needed.

Lyssa strolled casually into the apothecary's shop wanting nothing more than to get it, get what she needed, and leave again. Nic was at Draco's since she didnt want to have to worry about the small child in the busy streets of the alley. Walking through the shop door, she headed directly to the area that had what she was there to purchase.

Cassie heard the door open and shut and paid it to mind, set upon getting what she needed. It was only when she turned to head to another part of the shop that she caught sight of the person who had walked in. It took a few moments for her brain to recognise her, as it had been a while and she had changed in that while. It had always been possible she would walk into people she went to school with once she had reentered the wizarding world. She'd just never expected to walk into that person in particular.

Lyssa had gotten into the habit of looking that the people around her when she went places, checking for potential threats and anything of the like since the newest war had started, so her cold, gray eyes locked on to the only other person in the shop at the moment. Forcing herself not to look smug and pleased about her company, she turned her head away again, going back to browsing and hiding her smirk. If anything were to come of this chance meeting it would certainly be interesting, she thought. Interesting indeed.

Cassie frowned softly, and continued staring at the girl even after she had turned away to go back to what she had been doing. She felt like she should say something, though she wasn't quite sure what to say, or what there was to say anyway. She'd never thought she'd walk into her again. Especially as she had left the wizarding world behind her, she should have stayed out of it again, but she couldn't do that, she couldn't just turn her back on the war.

Lyssa got the ingredients she needed from the shelves, except for one. The last one was on the shelf right next to where Cassie was looking around. Hesitating for only a moment, she strolled over to the shelf and looked around for the thing she needed that was in a good quality.

Cassie's eyes followed Lyssa as she walked over, she then realised that she should probably continue getting her ingredients, but still felt as if she wanted to say something. Although still unsure to what that something was. "Hello," she said slowly after a couple of moments, still watching Lyssa as she found the things that she needed.

Hearing Cassie, Lyssa turned to look at the other girl. "Hello," she said back, voice quieter than it had been in the years they had been at school together. It was just something that had happened over the years.

Cassie still felt as if she should say something, but at a loss of what to say she turned around and went back to searching for the things that she needed. What did you say to a person you hadn't seen in twenty years? Let alone a person who had done the things Lyssa had.

"So," Lyssa said not letting the tension in the air get to her any, "what brings you here?"

Cassie turned to face her again. "The reason is quite obvious wouldn't you think?" Cassie asked her. "I need the ingredients that the shops sells for something. My guess would be that that is the same reason for you being here. Unless you're just browsing."

Lyssa looked at her with typical Malfoy smugness. "I could be," she stated in a matter of fact tone. "You know naught of my business here."

Cassie rolled her eyes. Some things never change, she thought. "I'll let you get on with your incredibly 'secretive' shopping then shall I?"

"It's hardly secretive. If it was secretive I wouldn't be in Diagon Alley."

"Then it doesn't really matter whether or not I know what you are doing does it?"

"I'm getting potion ingredients. What does it look like I'm doing?"

Cassie rolled her eyes once more. "I'd never have guessed that." she said, her tone sarcastic.

"well you're the one accusing people of secretive shopping."

"I accused you of no such thing, I was, in case you hadn't noticed, being mocking. As you said I had no buisness knowing why you are here, and generally when people tell others they have no buisness knowing something it is usually something they want to hide."

"Well of course I want to hide my business from you."

"Emphasis on me? Or on hiding your business from people in general?"

"im hiding it from anyone who has no business in knowing what it is."

"Now we're going in circles it appears," Cassie murmured, turning to go back to finding the ingredient that she needed.

"Or maybe you're just as moronic as ever."

"Oh good, let's play the call Cassie stupid game, what have I possibly done to offend you now?"
