A Change of Pace: RoA

Lyssa held her shirt so that Cassie could heal up her back, thankful when it was done. It had been hurting for a little while now, but it stopped. "Thanks," she said when the other girl was finished.

"It's alright," Cassie said putting her wand back into her pocket.

"I really need a way," Lyssa said as she put her shirt back down, "to change faster, because I was almost late and that would have been really bad for spying purposes."

Cassie frowned somewhat, "Yeah," She said chewing on her lip. "I dunno."

"Maybe if I learned to transfigure between the cloak and the robes," Lyssa muttered, thinking aloud.

"That could work," Cassie said with a slight nod.

It was a few weeks later and Lyssa's mark had burned so she'd headed on her way to where it led her.

Voldemort looked at Lyssa when she entered. "Melyssa," He said. "As of late you punctuality has been lacking. Care to explain why?"

Lyssa tensed for a moment, not expecting her slight tardiness to be noticed. This was bad. "Um..." she said, looking for a proper way out that wouldn't get her 'loyalty' questioned.

Voldemort raised an eyebrow at her. (..does he even have eyebrows?)

"Well," she said, "lately I've been...doing some unassigned, undercover reconnaissance, and I have to find ways to leave without alerting them..." She figured that was her safest bet, although it was probably a dangerous road as well.

"And what exactly is this reconnaissance?" He asked her. "What have you found out?"

"Um..." Lyssa stuttered, wanting to facepalm for saying something so idiotic as that she was working undercover. "I've learned the name of the mysterious new resistance group."

Voldemort stared at her, waiting for her to spit it out.

Lyssa bit her lip for a moment, hating that she was in the position to have to tell. "They call themselves Audentia."

Voldemort sneered. "Audentia," He said in his sneering cold tone. "Courage"

Lyssa was quiet, hoping she'd gotten herself off the hook.

When Lyssa entered HQ coming back from the manor that time she looked rather upset instead of her usaul pissed off. "What happened?" Cassie asked her, frowning.

Lyssa fell back on the couch in the living room and was quiet for a moment. "He nearly found out, because with all the stuff we've been doing I've been showing up a little later than everyone else. And so he asked, and I had to think up a lie. And I think that it barely worked. And I've also probably dug myself into a deep, deep hole. And....and...Buggerfuck!" She had worked herself up quite a bit and so now was in a sort of dizzying panic.

"Hey, hey," Cassie said. "Calm down, come on. Calm down." Cassie hugged her freind lightly. "What do you mean dug yourself into a hole?"

"I mean like I dug myself into a hole, because I told him I was doing recon, when really I'm working behind his back. And so he's going to want information!"

"Oh dear," Cassie said, chewing on her lip. That could not be good. "That may complicate things somewhat." She said frowning. "oh dear."

"I'm sorry," Lyssa said, running her hand through her hair, successfully messing it up. "So sorry. But, it was all I could think. It was a life or death situation, and you know I panic really easily sometimes..."

"It's okay," Cassie said frowning. "We'll figure something out."

"It will not be okay, because I don't want to give him any sort of information," Lyssa said, having worked herself up quite a bit over the matter, now close to breaking down and crying. "I've already had to compromise and tell him the name."
