A Change of Pace: RoA

"The name doens't matter that much," Cassie said soothing rubbing the girls arm. Trying to calm her down. "Him knowing the name won't harm or hinder us in any way. It just makes us seem more real."

"Cassie you're not getting it," Lyssa said, taking deep breathes and trying to calm herself down. "The name isn't going to placate him for very long. Soon he's going to want more than that, and I don't know that I could deliver that."

"I know, I know," Cassie said chewing on her lip. Nearly making it bleed. "We'll have to think on that. Come up with believeable lies. or Something."

"I don't know how much time we'll have to think. He's not a very patient person," Lyssa replied, closing her eyes for a moment.

"I know," Cassie sighed. "But it's the best bet we've got."

"We need to get the Order involved. Snape lied to him for years and didn't get caught, obviously meaning the Order would know how to handle this."

Cassie frowned with a nod. "I suppose so, though can it be done without telling them who we are? Or are we going to have to do that."

"We're going to have to tell them, for them to both trust us and actually be able to help."

"Yeah," Cassie said with a nod. "I guess we should do that now?"

"The sooner the better," Lyssa agreed.

The girls grabbed their cloaks and Cassie sent a message to McGonagall, using a spell to change her writing, she didn't want McGonagall figuring out who it was before Cassie had a chance to drop the mask. She told her and some other order members to meet where they had first met.

So, the two girls Apparated (or Portkeyed?) there just in time to get there before the Order. "We have a bit of a problem," Lyssa said, not bothering with pleasantries and greetings.

"What is this problem exactly?" McGonagall asked the girls warily watching them.

"Well, you see," Lyssa went on, having somewhat taken over since it was her problem. "You-know-who, may be on the verge of killing me personally."

"And what is the reasoning behind this?" McGonagal asked, frowning somewhat.

"Well, you see, to put it simply, for the past however long, I've been pulling a Severus Snape on him."

McGonagall blinked.

"And I'm not very good at it," Lyssa said. "So, we're here to ask for your help in making sure I don't die, because," she moved to pull back the hood of cloak, "it would be a shame to just let a 17-year-old die because she's not good at lying."

"Miss Malfoy," McGonagall exclaimed staring at her. "Way to let the cat out of the bag Lyss," Cassie said wth an amused smile pulling her hood off. There was no need for them now. "Miss Evans," McGonagall spluttered. "What on earth-?" Cassie shrugged lightly, with an amused expression on her face. "You wouldn't allow us to fight with the order, so I created Audentia. Alowing the younger people who wished to, to fight."

"Yes, well, Cass, you know I have a flair for being dramatic," Lyssa defended herself. "Anyway, she's right about you not letting us in. We're not too young to do this. This is our world as well. And right now, we really need your help, because like I said before. I suck at lying."

"Younger people?" McGonagall asked. "Younger people? By that I am gathering you mean people who are also not yet of age." Cassie looked at her. "If they want to fight they can, but that is not why we're here. If you want we can argue and prove you wrong later. But now, we have buisness." Cassie actually quite enjoyed talking like that to McGonagall. Because while she backchatted a lot, it was usually never to McGonagall.

"Yes, really," Lyssa said. "Can we get a solution BEFORE I have ANOTHER panic attack. I'm barely calmed down from the first one. I don't need another one!"

And so McGonagall still incredulous at the fact of children fighting helped them work out some sort of plan to keep Lyssa from gettting herself killed.

Afterward, all Lyssa wanted to do was get back to HQ but the Order had some questions for them to, in the words of McGonagall, make sure they all stayed safe.

Cassie sighed, looking expectantly at McGonagall waiting for the questions she was hoping to be able to side-step around.
