Great Hall w/ Moodz and Ellie

"Got me one good one in the side, I think," I murmured, carefully moving a hand down to test my side, which felt, I discovered, worse than my face. My lips turned down in a frown I couldn't hold back as I realized that this part of me WOULD bruise. No doubt the blood was already spreading beneath the transparent barrier of my skin, marking me, marking the day -- a remembrance. It would fade but no doubt the thoughts, the issues, they would remain. "Yep, got me. Foolish bastard won't know what's coming to him later," I grumbled.

MOODZ

I sighed as he spoke, my eyebrows drawing together when he flinched as he pressed his hand into his side. I jumped up, dipping my hand into my robes that where slung on a chair close to my bed. Drawing my wand out, and walked back over to him, signaling with my fingers to have him move his hand. "I'll fix it. Lift up your shirt." I said, getting my wand ready and shifting through my memory of good healing spells.

I smirked at her but did as she said, pulling carefully at the tails of my shirt. It had been starch white and perfectly pressed this morning, courtesy of the house elves, but it had been gradually ruined throughout the day's events. I lifted it carefully away from the ache in my side and glanced down warily to find that, yes, there was a purple blotch seeping stealthily across my skin, like a spilled bottle of ink. I bit my lip and looked back up at Cira, who was brandishing her wand towards me in an aggressive manner. "Don't mess this up," I said quietly, not meaning to slight her magical skill, only to make sure she didn't work too quickly. Bodies were sacred (isn't that right, Father? Never hit only curse, curse, curse until you get your way...) and I didn't want to come out of this disfigured over a silly bruise.

MOODZ

I rolled my eyes at him, getting down on my knees and grimaced when I saw how purple it was already. I didnt even bruse that fast. I decided on a spell and pointed my wand at the bruise, murmuring the charm under my breath. As the bruise got smaller and smaller, finally dissapearing into nothing, I grinned at him and lightly flicked were the bruise was, standing up. I twirled my wand around my fingers, staring at him.

The muscles in my body relaxed as the pain faded. "Thanks," I muttered, a foreign word on my tongue, but necessary all the same. A dull ache in my arm reminded me that I was still holding my shirt-tail up and I quickly dropped it. "I look a mess," I said, my hand wandering up to hair matted from leaning against the wall for so long earlier, my shirt muddy and wrinkled.

MOODZ

I laughed. "I admit, you have looked better before." I said, sitting back down on the rough bed beside him. "I know I look none to pleasant either." I muttered, my fingers lightly prodding one of the cuts on my face from the hail yesterday. "Oh well. We'll survive." i finished before my stomach let loose a growl. Huh. I didnt notice that I was hungry....

I heard a slight grumbling noise and looked over to see Cira with a hand on her stomach. "You're hungry. Do you want to go down to the hall or have the elves bring something?" I was beginning to feel the slight, deep ache of hunger as well, but there was no way I would make my way to the Hall looking the way that I did. I'd have to go up and change, rearrange myself a bit. Staying here would probably mean a talk with Cira...what that would bring, I wasn't sure.

"Have the elves bring something. No way am I leaving here. Not after what just happened." I said, glancing toward the closed door. Sighing, I grabbed the old mirror from my bedside table and looked at myself through it. My hair looked like a pigsty, the cut on my face looked very gross. It was red, and kinda swollen. I would need to get something for it... This has been one mad day. I thought.

I quickly snapped for the elves and asked for a bit of everything usually served at supper. The house elves knew who I was, had from the first day I'd arrived here. It wasn't hard to get what I wanted, when I wanted.
"Your face...Pomfrey probably left some cream here for it...you should, erm, take care of that," I said nonchalantly, waving my hand at the bedside table and pointedly not looking at Cira.

"I'll live. I can deal with a cut. " I said, sighing. Running my hand through my hair, I closed my eyes and fell back on the bed, scowling. I bit the inside of my cheek, taking in deep breaths and trying to ignore that fact that I could feel a large headache coming on along with the pain radiating from the gash on my face. Sighing again, I started to give myself a recap of last nights events. One, the whole fight with Draco in the great hall, Two, the deal with Miss Priss Pansey, Three, me turning into my bird self and then getting the crap beaten out of me by the storm. The Draco found me and it went down hill again. Great, huh?

Of course she was going to be stubborn and not use the medicine. I mean, for a Slytherin she didn't seem as concerned about self-preservation as she should be. Just then, the house elves began to file in with two carts scattered with platters, plates, and goblets. I smirked when I noticed that they had brought not only pumpkin juice and water, but also wine. I waved my hand at the miniature feast. "Feast is served," I said, immediately beginning to fill a plate with different dishes while reaching for a goblet of the wine.

"Are you trying to get bloody drunk, Malfoy?" I asked, smirking as I filled up my own plate with various types of food. I finished one roll before deciding to rephrase that. "Or, I should say, considering you are in Slytherin House, trying to get sophisticatedly intoxicated?" Rolling my eyes and streaching out a bit (which was quite painful. I would probably have to use some medication after all) I reached for a glass a pumpkin juice then chugged it down, extreamly thirsty.

I shrugged my shoulders as I took a sip from the goblet. "It's not that strong. Besides, you will rarely see a Malfoy inebriated. We have a very high tolerance to alcohol due to the purity of our blood. And if I were out to get a bit tipsy, would you have a problem with that?" I asked, cutting a piece of chicken up with my fork and dipping it into a bit of sauce. I realized at this point that this might be the only normal conversation I'd ever had with Cira. We weren't talking about anything epic or Dark, we weren't arguing, and Pansy wasn't here to whine at us. As much as I cared about the girl, she could ruin my day so easily with that pouty mouth of hers.

"Hm. Maybe not. If you got drunk enough maybe a few secrets would get spilled." I said, winking and grabbing my own glass of the wine. Draco was right, it wasn't that strong. I was sure if I had three glass's of it though I would get a bit intoxicated. That might be hard though, to limit myself to just two glasses. The wine was very good, and, I was awfully thirsty. The wine did have a bit of a kick, and it helped wake me up more than I already was.

I watched as Cira drank from her glass as well and had a moment of apprehension. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to be drinking in here, and especially not together. But I shrugged and passed over it. Neither of us would be in trouble if we were caught, and I wasn't afraid of anything I might say. I wasn't lying when I said that the Malfoys could handle their licquor. "Secrets? Certainly not. I don't have any of those. Do you?"

"I think that you would know I have plenty of secrets." I said, sighing and running my hand through my messy hair. "And, everyone has secrets, Malfoy. Its not like I see you everyday babbling your mouth off and telling everyone your life story. Allthough that might be interesting." Laughing, I took another sip from my goblet. "You might want to watch out. I never said that I could hold my alcohal well. You could have a very angry and drunk pureblood Slytherin animagus on your hands soon." Joking might not be the best thing to do right now, but for some reason I felt the need. I knew it wasnt the wine doing this, I was just holding back a lot of emotion.

I grinned as I continued to drink. "My life story? I'm sure that everyone would listen gleefully to me describing every minute detail of my day, but I honestly can't be bothered with it. I can give you an abridged version, if you like, not that it's very interesting." I bit into a piece of fish and found a bone. "NIBBY!" I yelled, and a house elf appeared in front of me. "There's a bone in my fish, take it away. And make sure to shut your ears in the oven so you'll know better next time." I tended to treat the house elves of Hogwarts just like I treated the ones at home. It wasn't like they were people or anything, and they were so stupid that they couldn't de-bone fish properly. I glanced over at Cira who seemed to be enjoying her wine. "Well, do you want to here it or not?"

I frowned as I saw the way that Draco treated the elf.
"How do you know that elf even cooked that fish, eh? God, Malfoy. If you want people, elves or not, or respect you, you have to show some respect yourself. Elves can feel pain too. Would you like me to force you to shove your head in a hot oven? I'm not sure if I even want to be this close to you right now." Scowling, I finished my glass of wine with a quick gulp and closed my eyes, starting to feel a little warm inside.
Great. I thought. The wine is getting to me.

"Being nice to creatures like those won't earn you respect from anyone. You have to exert your authority or it's worthless," I said, pretty much directly quoting my father. I had learned my ways from him as I'd gotten older, and showing RESPECT for house elves was a repugnant idea to me. "If you don't want me here, I'd be glad to go. I bet Pansy's just waiting upstairs...." I knew it would rile her up and I was glad for it. It was fun to watch people once alcohol started to mess with their inhibitions.

Oh great. The wine was getting to me. I would not let that weakness show, though. I smiled slightly, then spun around on the bed, laying down on it. In side I was very angry, but I just let calm patience show on the out side.
"Go ahead, Malfoy. Go to Miss Priss Pansy. Be cruel to creatures that never did a thing to hurt you. But, before you go if you do, think about this, if you where him, would you like to be pushed around like that?" I shrugged and let out a loose yawn, a triumphint look on my face.

"I would spend some time thinking about that, if there was any chance that I'd wake up tomorrow and find that I was a house elf. However, I'm a Malfoy. I'm not a creature. I was blessed by the grace of Merlin to be a pure-blooded wizard, not a Muggle, nor a muggle-born, nor some creature like Nibby. For a Slytherin, you sure don't act befitting one of us." I finished up my second goblet of wine and smiled smoothly. "And Pansy may be Miss Priss to you, but I'll have you know she's worth a lot more than you'd give her credit for."

"You know bloody well that I act like a Slytherin, Malfoy. And, considering I am literaly a Slytherin, shouldent I be to one the decide who acts like one or not? And I could care less at how you feel about Pansy. And the elves werent as lucky, alright? JUST THINK, Daco. JUST IMAGIN that you were born as one of them and not as lucky to be a pure blood wizard. Just think, would you like to have your pride, if you had any, ruined because someone who thinks that they are better then the world told you do go tourcher yourself?" I ranted, sitting up on the bed to look him in the eye. Obviosly alcohal wasnt good for me.

"Well, well, well. You were right, you can't hold your licquor. With all this talk of imagination and such, you'd think you were a Ravenclaw. You sound like that loony Lovegood. And just because you have Salazar's name doesn't mean that everything you do is something he would approve of. I'm sure the original Slytherin didn't go around bowing and apologizing to house elves." I didn't believe half of the things that I was saying, but it was fun to see how far she would go with this. I hadn't even known that she would react so much about house elves, of all things.

I sent him my best glare, gritting my teeth.
"I don't do that Malfoy. But I was raised to respect or at least ignore people or elves or ANY other creature. I ignore the elves, and I most definantly do not go bowing down to them like you do with your father. And I am offended, Malfoy. I am not a Ravenclaw. I am a proud Slytherin, and slightly tispy or not, I know what I should do. And I know that if Salazar was alive today that we wouldent give a bloody care what I was doing, as long as I didnt discrace the Slytherin house or family. But you, Malfoy, you have dont things that he woukd disaprove of, I'm sure. I don't apoligize to the elves either. I don't even talk to them, just only when it is needed." Narrowing my eyes at him, I took a deep breath and started up again before he could reply. "You see the thing is, Malfoy, you disrespect and humilate anyone who you think is lower than you. I have seen it. You boss around other house members, slap around the house elves, the ones who feed you and care for you. One simple mistack, like one of the elves accidently leaving a bone in your stupid little fish, and you explode for no reason." I looked straight into his green eyes, my own sparking with some unknown fury.

'You'd know if you took a vested interest in anyone around you that your house-mates pretty much ALL act that way, Slytherin. It's not like I'm actually out to get anyone. I could care less about house elves or anyone else for that matter. I act how I'm expected to act, and it gets me places in this world. Now, I'm not sure how you collect your little groupie fans but I have to say, my way is fairly effective." She had ranted at me long enough. The fun wasn't worth sitting here and being insulted to my face. I decided that, if she had this attitude about me, I probably wouldn't have any more issues with Pansy. I could go back up and assure her that our betrothal (that I hadn't known about, by the way) was safe and Cira was nothing to worry about. Which was a lie, of course, Cira Slytherin was always something to worry about, but I doubted she'd be a threat to any kind of relationship that Pansy wanted with the way she was acting towards me.
