Great Hall w/ Moodz and Ellie

I sighed, gritting my teeth again as I looked away.
"Whatever. I'm tired of talking to you about this." I said, rubbing my temples as I felt a headache coming on. "Ignore all of that." Closing my eyes, I squeesed them shut, tight. "Im guessing wine isnt the best refreshment for me, eh?" I cringed back into the bed, taking deep breaths and trying to calm my temper. Note to self: stay away from alcohal from now on.

"Probably not. I'll have to hang on to that interesting bit of information...general intolerance for alcohol." I picked up my goblet and sipped, realizing I had just drained my third glass. There was a delightful, vague buzz going about in my head, but other than that, I wasn't having any kind of adverse reaction. "No telling what I could get you to say....or do...in a state like this."

I was about to slap him upside the head.
"Yeah, good luck with that, Malfoy. I can see that its effecting you too, so shut up before I give you a bruise on your stomach." I threataned, because compleatly serious. I would not heisitate to put my words into action if he ticked me off further. Grabbing some random food off the cart, I chewed it. It tasted a tad gross, but I ignored it and continued to eat.

"I don't doubt that you'd try it," I said, and when I smirked it felt slightly sloppy. I put my goblet of wine down and picked up an untouched one still full of pumpkin juice. It wouldn't do to be bumbling about, especially with Cira Slytherin in the room. "But why would you want to see me hurt anyway? Surely the Dark Lord would disapprove of you wounding your destiny," I announced sarcastically.

"You sure seem set on ruining what he has set, so why are you scolding me about it?" I snapped, glaring up at him. "And besides, he never said that I couldent give you bruises. You bruise way to easily anyway, Branston is weak." I rolled my eyes, then sighed, feeling a bit better after I got some food into my system. "Your not even acknowlaging the fact that the Lord has us wound together in the future. Your just worried about your Pansy. And what was with that back there, flirting with me? You where just asking to get attacked, not proving some odd point."

"As far as Pansy is concerned, most ladies would think it's noble to consider your best friend's feelings. I barely know you, Slytherin, of course I'm concerned about a girl I've known my entire life. As for the flirting...I do what I wish. I may not be a Gryffindor, but I'm not lacking in courage. When I get an idea in my head, I follow through." I shrugged. "Why should it concern you anyway? You don't seem to be too fond of me. If a mob of angry sycophants mauled me and I died, you'd be home-free, wouldn't you?" I pushed my end of the cart away, full.

I burst out laughing despite the sitchuation.
"Malfoy." I said between laughs. "If you died in a mod of angry sycophants, you'd be home-free, not me." Lowering my voice so any eavesdroppers couldent here. "Voldemort would have back up plans for me if you ever died before.. Oh say, the age of 20. And Im not like most ladies, am I? Its not my buisness who who date, who you flirt with, vwho you kiss, but it is Voldemorts, just remember that." I finished, twirling my wand around my finger once more.

"A back-up? How delightful," I said, feeling slightly downfallen. I didn't like the idea of being so easily replaced. I'm a Malfoy, there isn't another like me in the wizarding world. "What about you, is there a back-up for you as well, for if you get mauled by angry sycophants? Or, you know, Branston crushes you in an attempt to show his undying love."

I snickered again.
"Branston isnt getting anywhere near me in the close future. And, actully, there isnt. Considering you have gotten conciterably close to Pansy, the Dark Lord decided to leave me be and not have a replacment if I die for some reason. " Then I noticed his expression. "Are you sad for some reason, Malfoy? Do you not like the idea of me marrying someone else?" I said, saracasm dripping from my words.

I did my best to keep my face indifferent. If I rolled my eyes, I'd seem defensive; if I looked hurt, she'd think I was actually worried about who she ended up being in holy (ha! give me a break) matrimony with. "No, just lamenting the fact that there's not some, I don't know, ravishing foreign princess to take your place if something unfortunate should happen."

I laughed again, this time almost at him.
"Are you implying that Im not ravishing?" I asked, faking looking hurt as I stared at him, laying my want across my full stomach. "And nothings going to happen to me any time soon. The worst ingury I've had was this gash on my face" Pointing to my cheek, I continued, "and even this isn't going to last very long. I'm going to be alive for a long time to come, Draco."

"How do you manage to make that sound threatening?" I asked, taking another look at her marred cheek. "You know, that's probably going to scar if you don't take care of it the magical way. Wouldn't want to ruin that ravishing face, would you?" I added, sounding sarcastic even though I really would hate to see that mark ruin her visage.

I looked at him calmly, smiling slightly.
"I'm not going to have to use magic to heal this, Malfoy. My face can handle a little cut for a little while. Since I take good care of my health, my body heals well. That includes my skin." I said, sitting up after moving my wand. Lightly stabbing him in the shoulder with the tip of it, I sighed. "You, on the other hand, would have a scar, even with magic. Your so fragil." I rolled my eyes.

I rubbed my shoulder where she had jabbed it, wondering what I'd done to deserve the weird time I'd been having lately. "Yeah, and so what if I am? Physical force is undignified. Can you imagine the Dark Lord rolling about with someone, exchanging blows? We're not a bunch of Muggles. Magic is the only proper way to fight."

"Magic may be the proper way to fight with us, but are you about to go around using magic when a muggle, in the muggle world, starts a fight with you? All though, that would be fun to watch. Who will win, the muggle, or Draco Malfoy who's magic is out of reach?" I said, cocking my head to the side as I pushed my hair out of my face. "And the Dark Lord only fights with those of whom he needs to, not just to start a fight. Kind of like what Branston did earlier. He felt the need to attack you when you got close to me."

"Why exactly would I ever need to get in a fistfight with a Muggle? I see them on a very rare basis; here at school there are only witches and wizards, and there are certainly no Muggles at home in Wiltshire. Besides, magic is never 'out of reach.' Some people may have qualms about using magic against those who can't, but it's just another advantage, like being a big brute like Vince and Greg." I shrugged and then considered what she'd said about Branston and how he didn't want me too near her. "Looks like Branston considers me a threat. Should I go announce our impending wedding or would you like to do the honors?" I chuckled and snapped my fingers for the house elves to take the cart full of empty plates and goblets away.

I glared at him, my face darkening.
"Don't you think that when that news hits the profeccers, that they would be very interested how we got that information? And you know how the Dark Lord can get about the's things. Oh. My bad, you don't. Speaking of that you really should join in on the meatings. You mind find out some stuff that is... very interesting. Learning embarrasing stuff about other kids familys can come in handy sometime."

"Interesting, eh? Father seems to think they would be dull for me to sit through. I'm not really interested in the gossip that goes around about the children here, I can sufficiently intimidate them without being a complete snoop, unlike some others." Honestly, I'd ask Father if I could attend once or twice, but I knew there wouldn't be people my age in attendance and most of the Death Eaters were a little off, like my Aunt Bella.

I glared at him again, looking him in the eye.
"I don't snoop, Malfoy. The Death Eaters pass along information along to each other and I just happen to over hear. Don't jump to conclusions. And, as I am sure you know, I don't need information about a persons family to get them to shut up and leave me alone. All I need is a slight bit of knowalage so I know whats a touchy subject for them and, tada, you've got yourself an insult."

I had to admit, she had a point. It was the Slytherin perogative to exploit any and every advantage we could get ahead of others. Leave it to ambition. "I wouldn't think it'd be that interesting hanging around with a bunch of middle-aged followers of the Dark Lord. It's the young ones, like us, that are the future of the Dark. " Once again, this was a quote straight from Father's mouth. It was the excuse for having to do everything the right way, the reason that I could never fail at anything. Earning the Dark Lord's favor from the start was necessary for advancement. I began to reconsider what Cira had been saying about who I date being the Dark Lord's business. If something with Cira would get me ahead with Voldemort, why not? But I certainly wasn't just going to say something to that effect.

"You never know what might happen during one of those meetings, Malfoy." I said, tracing the tattoo on my wrist absentmindedly. Draco was majorly confusing me, sounding like he was quoting someone instead of actually speaking in his own words. Shoving the thought aside, I sighed, Chewing the inside of my cheek. "So are you saying you plan on just sitting in this cold castle the whole bloody time you're here? You don't want to sneak out and do something more than taunt first years?"

"Why not?" I asked, watching as the girl traced her tattoo. It wasn't proper to be fidgeting like that; Slytherins are supposed to be composed, yet the girl descended from our very founder had the nerve to fidget like a silly, nervous Hufflepuff. It didn't suit her personality or her heritage. "I'm sure my father would really appreciate my sneaking out without orders. I plan on keeping my toes behind the line until I'm needed," Draco replied in answer to Cira's question. Of course, part of his reasoning was really just fear of being caught, but he truly did know that he had to keep his record more or less spotless, so that he would be able to carry out any assignment he was given once he took the Mark.

I turned to stare at him, my eyes narrowing.
"So the great Draco Malfoy is going to be a goodie two shoes? Where did the man who terrorized kids go?" I said, my voice sharp. Quickly getting over the fact I had called him a man, I carried on, crossing my arms. "I never did think of you as a person who copped out. I thought that you liked danger." I finished, taking a step toward him. "I'm sure your father would appreciate you learning how to get around without being caught and destroyed, not when your supposedly ready and completely without some knowledge of escaping." I could feel myself tense up like it usually did when I was about to fight someone, but I certainly didn't feel like swinging at Draco. I didn't know what my face looked like, but it probably wasn't the slightly bored expression I usually wear.

I took a quick, measured step back, taken aback by the sudden hostility of the girl coming towards me. Cira had gone from nonchalant condescention to intimidation so swiftly that I had the off thought that she might have multiple personalities. Insanity was often a risk in pureblood breeding, and definitely with a descendant of good old Salazar, it was very possible. "No one in their right mind likes danger, Cira. It's a measured risk. If you go pissing into the wind like some little over-excited Gryffindor, you lose what makes you a Slytherin. Caution. Thinking before you make a fool of yourself. Knowing when to strike, like a cobra. There's a difference between ambition and recklessness."

My eyebrows shot up into my hair.
"And you think that you have the nerve to compare me to a Gryffindor? That itself is a risk, Malfoy. And I don't go off and nearly kill myself, I know when enough is enough. It seems, as if, you lack that trait." I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself. "Who am I descended from, Draco?" My voice became quiet and dangerous. "Risking limb is in my blood. I can't stop being who I am, and someone like you certainly isnt going to change what I am programmed to do. I'm sure you know exactly what I mean."
