Brand New Day

Cassie chewed on her lip. "I don't know Lyss."

"Maybe in a few years...when I'm 17. But, not now...."

"Lyssa you need to tell someone about it. Someone that can help. Because he can't just do that to you."

"Cassie, I can't. If they don't believe me and it gets back to him I may as well be dead."

"You have proof, you're covered in bruises for christ's sake."

"Anyone loyal to Lucius from respect to fear would just say that I made them myself."

Cassie scowled, whacking her fist into the carpet.

"Do you think maybe one of the professors...?"

"McGonagall? She'll know you arem't lying."

"Maybe...But it'd be best to tell her in person, and I have no idea where to find her in the summer, much less contacting."

"Yeah," Said Cassie with a frown.

"Maybe...I could just like owl her. Owls always know where to go. And I could ask to meet up with her. And hopefully she says yes."

"that works," Cassie said wih a nod.

"Good," Lyssa said getting up with a frown as something or other hurt again, walking to her desk to write the letter.

It was the next day when they got a reply owl. The two girl's were sitting in Lyssa's room talking when the owl swooped onto the window sill.

Lyssa took the reply from the owl and opened it, reading over the letter. "She says she can meet up with us tomorrow at the school and to Floo to her office. And, yes, I said us, because I'm not going alone." Then she frowned. "Now we just have to get there without my father finding out."

Cassie nodded with a slight frown "okay,"

Lyssa sent Cassie a smile. "I think we can do it. There are plenty of fireplaces in the manor, and they all have Floo near them. In case of emergencies."

"Cpp;," Cassie said.

So, the next day the two got ready to go, Lyssa going all out to make sure as many of her bruises were as visible as possible without looking like a mini-slut. Then she looked at Cassie. "Ready to go?"

Cassie nodded at her. "Yep."

Lyssa nodded and the two went to one of the emptier parts of the manor to Floo. "You wanna go first?" Lyssa asked. "Or should I?"

"Um, I don't mind."

"Well," Lyssa muttered, "suppose I'll go first, since she's expecting me more." She grabbed a bit of Floo powder and tossed it in, saying McGonagall's office. And then she was gone.

Cassie followed Lyssa.
