Just a day like any.

"Sure, we'll go with that," Drew said jokingly.

Demi grinned at him. "I'll just pretend you actually mean that."

"Sounds like a plan to me." Drew grinned.

"We should probably do our work..." she mused and than shrugged. "Nah."

"No, working is a necessity," Drew said, although he knew Demi would completely ignore him.

"Poor deluded Ravenclaw," she said sympathetically. "We'll be sure to give you some medicine for your addled brain."

"My brain isn't addled!" Drew protested. "Yours is!"

"It's okay Drew, we'll fix you right up soon. You'll be better in no time."

Drew frowned. "I'm not the one who's mental, you know."

"That's what they all say Drew," Demi said seriously. "No-one likes to think they are mad," she patted him condescendingly on the head. "It's okay."

"You know, that applies to you, too, then. You don't want to admit you are insane!"

Demi shook her head. "False," she said. "I know I'm insane, so it balances it out. You on the other hand..."

"Wait, so knowing you're insane means you aren't insane? That doesn't make sense!"

"Course it makes sense," she shook her head at him. "Silly."

Drew poked Demi in the forehead. "You're not quite all there in the head sometimes, I think. It's weird we are friends."

Demi swatted at his hand. "If I'm not there in the head, than neither are you," she said with a nod. "It is a bit, how did that happen anyway? Seeing as the houses have a 'every other house is contagious don't go near them' thing going on."

Drew thought about it for a second. "We are actually something really kind of awesome, aren't we? We're from different houses and we're completely different personality-wise... How did we become so close?"

"I have no idea," Demi mused. "I honestly can't remember. I must have been very bored to decide to spend time with you," she said with a grin. "Because you are bor-ring, but I'm glad. Even if a bit baffled on the how."

"I am not boring! And I don't know why I would want to spend my time with a loon like you. I'm glad I did, too, though."

"You are so, and overly cautious! Ruining half my awesome plans by telling me not to do them," she rolled her eyes and smiled.

"Dude, I let you get away with so much. I just warn you away from the really stupid stuff that you should not be doing, because someone will end up dead."

Demi rolled her eyes. "Overly cautious," she said again. "I'm not going to kill anybody, that would be silly. Because I'd be in too much trouble to actually do anything else."

"Sometimes you don't things out nearly as well as you could, and things could go very badly, and you don't consider all of the options..."

She sighed loudly. "Overly cautious," she said again. "I think things out enough, I haven't seriously injured anyone yet have I?"

"Nope! Only because I've stopped some of your more dangerous plans. Remember what you wanted to do back in fourth year with the fireworks and the sheep?"
