Just a day like any.

Drew rolled his eyes. "That was, what. Like, ten minutes?"

"But it was bor-ing," Dem said picking up her bag. "If they taught interesting stuff I'd listen."

Drew sighed. "You're hopeless, you know, darling. Has anyone ever told you that?"

"Once or twice," Demi replied with a vague wave of her hand, and a cheeky grin. "Mostly by you. But you can't tell me I'm hopeless. Because that makes you hopeless. So." She smiled.

"Bah," Drew said, imitating Demi's lofty, cheeky manner of speech. "I can never feel hopeless! I'm Drew, after all."

Demi narrowed her eyes. "Nu-uh," She said with a shake of her head. "You're as hopeless as I am mister," She shrugged at him. "We can be hopeless together." She winked.

Drew laughed. "Fine. Hopeless together, it is." He tipped his fake hat of air.

Demi pretended to curtsy with a wink. "Love-lay."

Drew grinned. Class was over, and it was time to go. "Do you want to link arms, dearest?" He stuck out his arm, elbow crooked, and winked back.

Demi curtsied again and linked her arm with Drews. "Course I do, darling," She grinned at him picking up her bag.

Drew grinned. "Okay, cupcake. Of we go!" He linked arms and started to skip down the hall.

Demi gave him an odd look. "Cupcake?" She asked him with a shake of her head. "Alrighty than," She laughed as he started to skip.

Drew smiled innocently. "I like cupcakes, too, but this is hardly time time, Demi, dearest."

Demi choked on her laughter, she held up a hand to tell him to stop while she tried to regain her breath and stop her laughter. "You-," She started laughing again, and shook her head at him. "Hopeless," She managed before laughing again.

Drew grinned. "I made you crack up to the point where you look like your choking on a rhinoceros. I think that is not hopelessness."

"You are so," Demi muttered managing to stop herself from laughing. She whacked his arm. "It isn't nice to make me laugh like that Andrew dear," She said with a smile.

Drew grinned. "Olive you, Dem."

"Are you calling me an olive?" Demi asked with mock hurt.

Drew grinned. "You are a lovely green, dearie."

Demi looked at him affronted. "Meanie," She called back with a laugh, feeling like she was five again. "I'm telling." She poked out her tongue.

Drew opened his mouth in mock shock. "Oh no! That can't happen. Dearest Demi, I pray thee dost not tattle!"

Demi had to stop her laughter. "Oh yeah?" She asked cocking her head to the side. "And why shouldn't I?"

"Thou shalst not tattle, lest I shall perish!"

"Speak english next time Andrew dear, and if thou shall perish it does not affect me does it?"

Drew grinned. "Why, 'tis English I speak, dearest Demi. Eso no es ingles, si quieres saber. Y si muero, tu no tienes una persona para copiar tu tarea, no?"
