"Do you want something to eat or drink Lyssa dear?" Sam asked her. "I can make hot chocolate or something." "I do," Cassie said. "Wasn't asking you missy," Sam said tapping her on the back of the head.

Lyssa shook her head. "No thanks."

"If you're hungry, dinner's in the kitchen," She said. Cassie looked at her mum, noticing that she was in a slight conflict. She still hadn't forgiven Lyssa, that was obvious, and she still hurt. But, she couldn't turn her back on someone who needed help.

"I'm fine," Lyssa said. "You can go back to minimal contact with me again."

Sam ran a hand through her hair, biting down on her lip. "Lyssa," She said after a few moments. "If you ever need anything. I am here."

Lyssa shook her head. "I don't believe a word of that, Sam."

Sam smiled sadly, before she turned and walked out of the room.

Lyssa sighed after her. "You shouldn't have stopped me, Cassie."

Cassie looked at her. "Yes I should have. And I'm glad I did."

"Then never let me out of your sight again."

"I should get mum to buy those plastic handcuffs you can buy at toy shops-nevermind," She hid a smile. "Me and Em once had an idea to do that. And then say we'd lost the key. So all through the school day we'd be literally unseparable. Never did though." She shook her head slightly.

"Funny story that," Lyssa commented dryly.

Cassie shrugged at her. "It seemed like a good idea at the time." She said. "And you, are going to eat now. At least, something."

"No, I'm not."

"Lyssa," Cassie said firmly. "You are eating, even if I need to force you to." She crossed her arms over her chest. "You need food. It's kind of a human requirement."

Lyssa rolled her eyes. "Force me to then."

"Times like these it would be very useful if I carried my wand around," Cassie said with a sigh. "Lyss you can't starve yourself. It's still killing yourself."

"Exactly,"" Lyssa said with a smile as she turned to head back up stairs.

Cassie grabbed hold of her arm before she managed to get very far though. "Lyssa," She said through clenched teeth, and with a dark look.

"Cassie, let go."

"No."

"Yes, or so help me I will..." Lyssa said not finishing her threat.

"You will...?" Cassie asked raising an eyebrow.

"I'll figure out a way to off myself while you sleep."
