Cassie and Lyssa (Year 6)

I sat in a compartment of the Hogwarts Express, my head rested on the window. I was one of the first people to show up to, but I really really just wanted to be away from my house right now, away from my family, and really away from everyone. Things were all messed up, and it was horrible. I closed my eyes and sighed. This year was going to be tough. Especially when I couldn't say a word about what was bothering me to anyone. Draco had told me, and made me swear not to tell. And it wasn't like I hadn't noticed something was up with him in the first place. Sighing again I opened my eyes and fought off bashing my head on the window's glass.

Just as I was about to actually hit my head on the window the compartment door opened. I turned my head from the window without taking it off and saw Cassie.

"Hi," I said softly, looking away again.

I raised my eye brows at Lyssa.

"What's got you in such a bad mood, and don't tell me its nothing I've been your freind for exactly 5 years I know when something is up."

I put my trunk up and sat down next to her.

"Spill."

"I...It's nothing really," I muttered. I looked over to give her a weak-ish smile. She looked at me, eyebrow raised more. I knew she wouldn't buy it but what else could I say? I had been backed into a corner and the year hadn't even started yet. Damn. I sighed. "Fine," I said, "I just....I have this feeling that something horribly wrong is going to happen this year and people will get hurt. It's been bugging me all summer, this feeling." I looked at her again. That was all I could say really without totally giving away the secret. I just hoped that she would take it and leave it well enough alone.

I don't believe you. A voice in my head chanted. I knew she was hiding something but for what reason I couldn't be sure. Probably something that concerned Draco.

"Fine, don't tell me." I muttered. "Guess you don't trust me to keep a secret."

The train pulled out of the station and I watched the station slowly fade away.

I looked at her, sitting up from the window, eyes wide and tears pricking in them.

"I trust you with everything," I started. "You know that. It's just with this....I....I bloody can't tell anyone!" I ran around my brain for something to help me out. "I've been sworn to secrecy, but I think that if maybe you figured it out and all I did was confirm it then it would be ok and then I wouldn't be the only person any more. You get kinda what I mean?"

I was hopeful she did.

"Whatever." I muttered still looking out the window.

I turned back to her. "Sorry, I'm just in a bad mood," I sighed and ran a hand through my hair.

"Come on, you know how much I suck at guessing games. can I have a clue?"

"It's fine really," I muttered looking at my feet for a moment and then I looked up at her, and I could just tell my eyes were desperate.

"I would give you all the clues in the world if I could, but I'm technically not allowed to say anything at all about it. Um..." I tried to find something I could say without saying something stupid, because if I knew anything about him, I know he'd find out if I did. Effing creepy snake man.

"It involves one of the people who was at the Ministry at the end of last year all over the papers I think," I said. "Bugger all! I'm not good at giving clues am I?"

I gave her an axasperated look because I really did need her to get something. "Ok, here's another thing. Think about my family name and rep."

I scowled. "I'm still being vague and not helpful at all aren't I?"

I sighed trying to add up the clues I had been given. "Something about Voldemort, Malfoy and family reputation." I sighed again. "Not helpful."

I frowned. "Draco?" He's the only Malfoy that she cared about, she didn't care about her mum or dad so it had to be something to do with Draco. Which would also be why she was in a badish mood.

I could only make a grim face and nod. "Draco," I stated.

I bit the inside of my lip and looked out the window of the train.

"Sorry I fail at giving clues..."

"it's ok." I muttered and pulled a peice of parchment out of my pocket.

"Nothing like to riddle to start the start of the year." I muttered but rolled my eyes at myself.

Draco, Repuation, Voldemort. I scrawled the three words on the paper and starred at them.

"I think I get your mood now." I muttered waving my wand to make the ink invisable. "I can't believe I'm saying this but. Poor Draco."

I gave her a small smile. "Get it then?"

Then I gave a small mirthless laugh. "Poor Draco indeed. He's just fortunate to be a somewhat better actor when it comes to hiding things then me. As you can see, I fail at it."

I gave her a reassuring smile then sighed. "Just make sure you can act better around Harry, he'll think it's Draco if things go wrong even if there is no proof."

I was watching tree's fly past now.

"Do you know what he needs to do?" I asked her then leaned over and hugged her. "it'll work out, you'll see. somehow."

"Cassie, he'll think it's Draco even if there's proof that says otherwise," I stated. "It's Harry."

I nodded at her question. "Yeah I do, and I don't think he'll be able to do it. He's only 16."

I bit my lip harder. I was about to cry, even if there were no tears in my eyes. I could feel it.

I grinned. "Yeah I suppose you're right."

I sighed and hugged her again. "Could you talk to Dumbledore about it? He could help." I suggested frowning. I hated seeing my best friend sad.

I shook my head. "No one is supposed to know except the people that were told in the start. If I told Dumbledore he would do something and then it would get noticed and..." I trailed off. "And besides, he's Dumbledore. I can imagine he can figure this out on his own."

I sighed. "Yeah I suppose."

I frowned slightly. "I can see Harry not helping in the slightest."

The compartment door slid open.

I looked over at the compartment door to see Draco.

I raised an eyebrow at him.

"Yes Draco?"

"Speak of the devil and the devil shall apear." I muttered under my breath.

I looked up at Lyssa's brother.

"Guten Tag."

"I was just wondering where you disappeared to...again," he said. "You left the Manor is a hurry earlier."

I made a face of irritation. "Yeah I guess I did, but as you can see you found me, where I usually am on the train."

He turned to me with a raised eyebrow. "Gutan tag?" He said completly pronouncing it wrong.

"No. Guten Tag, and it's hello in German. Merline." I said as if it were obvious.

"Well I don't bloody know German do I?" Draco snapped.

I scowled at him. "Watch it," I hissed. "Or I will hit you...again."

He scowled back, but left. After the door was closed I rolled my eyes. "Why can't you two get along?"

I shrugged.

"He's a Slytherin and anyway he started it, On our first day at school."

I smiled at her. "See, I remember these things."

"Well apparently I don't," I said. "What'd he do?"

I looked at her expectantly. "Also, I don't mind that he's a Slytherin, or some of the others of them either. They're ok people under some of it all." I stopped wondering if that made sense.
